Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Week 13: Rounding Up Latest Expert Advice on the Web

More specifically, let the experts make the calls for you. We'll make things even easier by rounding up recommendations from three experts—NFL.com's Michael Florio, CBS Sports' Jamey Eisenberg and Yahoo Sports' Dalton Del Don—for the three marquee positions.

When examining expert recommendations, one thing you're looking to spot is trends. If multiple experts all highlight the same player, there's probably a reason for that.

Just one quarterback was a universal selection for these experts—Del Don made start-or-sit calls for each game, so he mentioned fewer quarterbacks than the others—Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles). The sophomore quarterback has thrown for seven touchdowns against a single interception over his past three games. He's also set to tussle with a Philadelphia Eagles defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to the position, per Yahoo.

"He's going to have to put up points this week," Florio wrote. "Purdy is very much in play in what should be a high-scoring battle."

Two other quarterbacks were starts for two of the three experts. Both Florio and Eisenberg said to start Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals). Sam Howell (Washington Commanders vs. Miami Dolphins) for Florio and Del Don.

While Del Don didn't recommend sitting any quarterbacks—he did have Justin Herbert as a daily-fantasy fade if that's relevant to you—both Eisenberg and Florio agreed not to play Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams vs. Cleveland Browns).

Just like at quarterback, only one running back was a consensus start among the experts: Houston Texans back Devin Singletary against the Denver Broncos.

"The return of [Dameon] Pierce no doubt hurts Singletary, but he remains the Texans' lead back and gets a favorable matchup Sunday," Del Don wrote. "The Broncos have quietly become an incredibly stingy pass defense but have ceded the most fantasy points to running backs this season."

The experts were also fans of Pittsburgh Steelers running backs against the Arizona Cardinals. Jaylen Warren was a start for both Florio and Del Don. Najee Harris, meanwhile, was a start for Florio and Eisenberg's start of the week.

"The Cardinals are awful against opposing running backs, and Harris and Warren should have the chance to dominate," Eisenberg wrote. "Harris is the better of the two given his expected workload, and he should be a top-15 Fantasy running back in all leagues for this week."

While there were no universal sits at the position—Del Don only had one running back as a sit—both Eisenberg and Florio advised to avoid AJ Dillon (Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs) and Chuba Hubbard (Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers). Del Don's lone selection, Joe Mixon (Cincinnati Bengals at Jacksonville Jaguars), was also a sit for Florio. Eisenberg put Mixon under his "bust alert."

Two receivers were universal starts: Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos at Houston Texans) and Rashee Rice (Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers).

Eisenberg noted Sutton's success against Houston last season (seven receptions for 122 yards) and said he's "worth starting as a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues." Florio liked Rice's matchup and highlighted his developing chemistry with Patrick Mahomes, noting the start quarterback "has a 138.0 passer rating when targeting Rice this season, which is the second-highest mark in the league among QB-WR duos (min. 50 targets, per Next Gen Stats)."

In terms of sits, there was only agreement on a single receiver: Drake London (Atlanta Falcons at New York Jets). But London was a sit for all three experts, so it's probably best to the avoid the second-year pass-catcher.

"The Falcons are the NFL's most run-heavy team, and the Jets sport the highest run rate over expected against, so Atlanta pass attempts should be limited Sunday (especially while facing Tim Boyle)," Del Don wrote. "Moreover, Desmond Ridder has one touchdown pass over five road games this season, so London belongs on fantasy benches this week."
