NXT Call-Ups and 3 Sure-Fire Predictions for WWE's Post-WrestleMania 40 Raw

Will a few fresh faces be added to the Raw roster after WrestleMania 40?
Will a few fresh faces be added to the Raw roster after WrestleMania 40?

WrestleMania 40's stacked card will feature multiple matches with show-stealing potential across the two nights.

In addition to this year's Road to WrestleMania being WWE's most exciting and eventful in years, this weekend's extravaganza should be nothing short of spectacular.

Historically, post-WrestleMania week has basically been an extension of The Show of Shows, where anything and everything has been known to happen. It hasn't been uncommon in years past for 'Mania to underdeliver and the subsequent Raw more than making up for it.

The pandemic combined with a subpar product has led to the post-WrestleMania Raw losing a lot of its luster in recent years, but Triple H's recent run of strong shows and easy-to-enjoy booking has instilled hope in fans that the upcoming installment will be different.

Per X/Twitter account WrestleTix, the show at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on April 8 is closing in on nearly 16,000 tickets sold, making it one of the highest-attended domestic editions of Raw ever.

Needless to say, it will be an electric atmosphere inside the arena with a crowd ready to riot if their lofty expectations aren't met.

From shocking returns and title changes to long-awaited debuts and betrayals, the fallout from WrestleMania promises to be must-see. The following developments would make next Monday's show that much more memorable.

Carmelo Hayes, Roxanne Perez Debut

NXT call-ups have been an annual staple of the post-WrestleMania Raw for the better part of the past decade.

It's typically the edition with the most buzz and attention as it signifies WWE hitting the reset button with the roster. Bringing new names into the mix only adds to the unpredictability, and there are more than a few names who are ready for the Raw spotlight.

SmackDown securing Bron Breakker, Jade Cargill, Naomi and Tiffany Stratton has left the red brand with quite a bit of catching up to do. Enlisting the likes of Carmelo Hayes and Roxanne Perez would be a solid start.

Both former NXT titleholders have been main roster-ready for a while now. They could have been brought up a year ago and thrived based on their talent alone.

Hayes is amid a heated rivalry with Trick Williams at the moment, but once that's over, he has nothing left to do with the gold brand. The same can be said for Perez, who will challenge for the NXT Women's Championship at Stand & Deliver on Saturday.

Both will make their mark on the post-WrestleMania Raw.

Liv Morgan Resumes Her Revenge Tour and Targets Rhea Ripley

There's plenty of unfinished business going around in WWE these days, with Liv Morgan's unresolved rivalry with Rhea Ripley being high up on the list.

Although she was unsuccessful in becoming the No. 1 contender to Ripley's Women's World Championship at WrestleMania 40, she has made it clear that their bad blood is far from over.

It was Ripley who put Morgan on the shelf with a (storyline) injury last summer, and it was Morgan who handed Mami her last loss in singles competition two years ago.

There's an organic story to be told there. There's no reason for it not to be revisited coming out of WrestleMania, regardless of whether Ripley is still champion or not.

Of course, the gold being up for grabs would only add to their feud, but it isn't imperative.

Morgan has taken a backseat in recent weeks but should resurface in a big way on the post-WrestleMania Raw by picking up where she left off with her former tag team partner.

Chad Gable Turns on Sami Zayn

Chad Gable becoming a mentor of sorts for Sami Zayn as of late can't be considered a coincidence.

The Olympian previously told Zayn that he doesn't believe he has what it takes to beat Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40.

It's been an honorable gesture on Gable's part to attempt to train him for what's to come against The Ring General, but one would have to assume there's more to the pairing than that.

Gunther getting the better of Zayn the past two weeks on Raw is a major indicator that a new intercontinental champ is being crowned this weekend. If so, Gable being first in line to challenge the new titleholder and then betray him out of jealousy makes a lot of sense.

Zayn could just as easily fail to capture the prestigious prize at the event and Gable can turn on him, regardless. He should be the one to ultimately dethrone The Ring General, but a program with The Underdog from the Underground is hardly a poor consolation prize.

It would be in Zayn's best interest to keep his head on swivel post-WrestleMania in case Gable has revenge in mind.
