X Games 2024: Ventura Dates, TV Schedule, Live Stream, Athletes, Event Info

X Games will kick off at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for the second year in a row on Friday, June 28.
MSP Sports Capital, which acquired a majority interest in the property from ESPN Productions in 2022, has been focused on expanding the event into a true festival. This year, that means music from 10 artists, including Wiz Khalifa and Kaskade.
But the main attraction at X Games is, of course, the world's best skateboard, BMX and Moto X athletes. This year there are 150 athletes from 21 countries competing in 19 disciplines, with 57 medals on the line.
Whether you're planning to attend the ticketed event in person or to tune in on TV or live stream, here's everything you need to know to catch the action at X Games Ventura.

Athletes to Watch and Storylines to Follow

Justin Dowell (BMX)
Justin Dowell, 24, earned a BMX park silver medal in his X Games debut in 2022 at X Games Chiba and then followed it up with another second-place finish at X Games 2022. At the recently concluded Olympic qualifier series, he secured one of two spots on the U.S. men's BMX park team, for his second Olympics. During his runs, look for him to throw his signature Twix (tailwhip barspin).
Axell Hodges (Moto X)
A 12-time X Games medalist, Axell Hodges is one of the best ever to do it in Moto X. He'll be looking to improve upon his 2022 silver medal in Moto X QuarterPipe High Air and for his first gold in Moto X Best Whip.
Nyjah Huston (skateboard)
The winningest streer skateboarder of all time, Huston is fresh off a win at the SLS Apex 02 competition in Vegas and the two Olympic Qualifier Series events, where he locked in his Paris 2024 qualification. Huston owns 21 X Games medals, including a bronze in Street Best Trick at X Games California 2023. He finished outside the podium in the street event last year but will be eyeing a medal in Ventura.
Hannah Roberts (BMX)
In a historic first this year, X Games will debut a women's BMX medal event. American Hannah Roberts, 23, is ranked No. 1 in the world in park and will lead the U.S. BMX freestyle team into the Paris 2024 Games.
Tom Schaar (skateboard)
A medal threat in skateboard vert and park, Schaar, 24, has been racking up podium finishes this season. The Malibu native won the vert event at Tampa Pro 2024 this spring and is fresh off a second-place finish in park at the Olympic Qualifier Series stop in Budapest, which allowed him to leapfrog U.S. teammate Jagger Eaton in the world rankings and qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Arisa Trew (skateboard)
At 14 years old, Arisa Trew represents a sea change in women's park and vert skateboarding. The Aussie took first place at each of the Olympic Qualifier Stops in Shanghai and Budagest in May and June, respectively, and recently became the first woman to land a 900 and a switch McTwist. She took double gold at X Games California 2023 in vert and park, but finished off the podium in Best Trick, giving the highly accomplished young rider something left unchecked on her list…for now.
