The No. 5 seed ended the Italians' five straight head-to-head wins and will face defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal, an exact rematch from last year.
In the women's draw, Donna Vekic defeated Lulu Sun in three sets, ending the qualifiers' magical run.
Vekic will face No. 7 seed Jasmine Paolini, who is through to her second straight Grand Slam semifinal after defeating Emma Navarro in straight sets.

Daniil Medvedev had lost five straight matches to No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner, including the 2024 Australian Open final, where he led the Italian two sets to love.
The No. 5 seed overcame Sinner in five sets on Tuesday, making history as the first player to defeat Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Novak Djokovic in a Grand Slam venue.
Medvedev will face defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in a rematch of last year's Wimbledon semifinal.
Alcaraz won that match in straight sets, but this year's contest should be much closer.
Both players exude confidence, and if Medvedev performs as he did on Tuesday, an upset should not be out of the question.
Jasmine Paolini Is Not a Fluke
Prior to 2024, Jasmine Paolini had never won a main-draw match at Wimbledon.
On Tuesday, the seven-seed defeated No. 19 seed Emma Navarro to become the first Italian woman to reach the Wimbledon semifinals.
This year has marked her emergence.
The 28-year-old had not advanced beyond the third round of a Grand Slam in her career and had only won one WTA title prior to 2024.
In 2024, she has not only won a WTA 1000 title (Dubai Championships) but also reached the semifinals in back-to-back Grand Slams.
Paolini is the favorite against Donna Vekic and is expected to reach her second straight Grand Slam final.
