Iga Swiatek defeated Diane Parry to earn her 23rd straight win at Roland Garros.
The top seed rebounded impressively from a sluggish first-round match and dropped just two total games.
Just like Swaitek, Gauff continues to breeze through competition.
The 20-year-old American has lost just five total games across her two matches.
The two have separated themselves from the rest of the draw and, barring a major upset, remain the firm favorites to reach the Olympic final.
Danielle Collins, Jasmine Paolini Are Legitimate Contenders
Danielle Collins, who is enjoying her best and last season on the WTA tour, hit 47 winners en route to a three-set victory over Caroline Wozniacki.
The American has already defeated formidable players on clay this season, such as Ons Jabeur, Maria Sakkari, and Paula Badosa, just to name a few.
With her impressive movement and powerful forehand, Collins is proving to be a legitimate contender.
Jasmine Paolini, the recent French Open and Wimbledon runner-up, is also continuing to impress.
At the very least, Paolini should advance to the quarterfinal round, where a potential match with Barbora Krejcikova awaits—a rematch of the 2024 Wimbledon final, which Paolini will look to avenge.
