AEW Collision Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights After All Out

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Collision on September 14.

Let's take a look at what happened on Saturday's episode of Collision.

Collision opened with Perry arriving in his bus to defend the TNT title against Daniels, who looked pumped up during his entrance.

Daniels had more experience but hadn't wrestled in a long time, so The Scapegoat had almost every possible advantage.

Perry controlled the pace and even smiled after getting a two-count because it meant he got to inflict more punishment.

The Fallen Angel built some momentum and almost hit his finisher before Perry countered and hit a running knee for the win.

This was predictable and uneventful, but getting more defenses under Perry's belt is a good thing, so this accomplished its goal.

Result: Perry defeated Daniels

Grade: C

Notable Moments and Observations

• Did Perry need to litter on his way in? What kind of example is that to set for the little Jungle Boys and Girls at home?
• Daniels' single-sleeve thing is an odd choice unless he is covering up an embarrassing tattoo. 

Briscoe, O'Reilly and Hologram took on Mortos, Tony Nese and Ari Daivari in trios action this week. Mark Sterling and Josh Woods were at ringside for support.

KOR and Nese kicked off the action with a nice sequence of chain wrestling. The babyfaces dominated most of the action until KOR was isolated shortly before the break.

The Chicken got a hot tag as soon as we returned and went on a rampage. His brand of redneck kung-fu was on full display and the crowd was popping for every strike.

This is one of those bouts with a minimal story meant to provide some exciting action, and it did just that. This was an entertaining bout that showcased all six men well.

Result: KOR, Briscoe and Hologram defeated Mortos and Premier Athletes

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

• Yuta was visibly shaken up during his backstage segment. He did a good job. 
• Whatever Hologram and Mortos tried to do with the moonsault counter, they made it work in the end. 
• Seeing Mortos hit a corkscrew dive will always be awesome. 
• The way KOR challenged Mortos after the match was hilarious. 

A distraught Yuta came out alone to take on Anthony Henry, who had his second cousin Beef by his side.

Henry took control early and kept the upper hand for quite some time. Yuta was really selling how messed up he was about BCC turning on Bryan Danielson.

Yuta began to show some life after a commercial break. Henry evoked Danielson's name and Yuta snapped in response. He stomped Henry's head into the bottom turnbuckle until the ref yanked him away.

After destroying one-half of The Workhorsemen, Yuta won with a Cattle Mutilation submission.

This was a good match that also told a small part of a much bigger story. Yuta being so distracted allowed Henry to shine, which doesn't happen often enough. Yuta sold the emotion of everything well.

Result: Yuta defeated Henry

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

• Big Bill, Bryan Keith and Chris Jericho attacked Orange Cassidy backstage. 
• Why did it take until 2024 for us to get a wrestler named Beef on TV?
• The snap suplex into the barricade looked nasty. 
• Henry is such an underrated talent. 

Private Party and Komander took on three local competitors in a trios bout that only served to allow the high-flyers to show off a bit.

Isiah Kassidy scored the win after he and Marq Quen hit Gin and Juice. This was short but the crowd popped for a few spots.

Result: Private Party and Komander won.

Grade: Incomplete

Mariah May interrupted the start of Deeb vs. Sakazaki to join the commentary team.

Yuka and The Professor traded wristlocks and takedowns to start. Deeb tied Yuka up into a ball and hit a dropkick as May called it child abuse.

The commentators reminded us that Yuka broke her leg during her last match, so Deeb focusing on it made a lot of sense.

Even if this wasn't an especially exciting bout, it delivered some solid technical wrestling from both competitors. They picked up the pace at the end to give us a fun second half.

Sakazaki hit a big splash for the pin and the win but was attacked by May on the stage. Yuka nailed a kick and left the champion looking angry.

Result: Sakazaki defeated Deeb

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

• Anna Jay got a nice video to hype her return. 
• Nigel McGuinness hating Yuka's voice is very on-brand. 
• May's commentary was a bit distracting but she was funny. 

The Gunns and Juice Robinson took on Brian Cage, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun in the third trios bout of the night.

Liona and Kaun easily overpowered The Gunns to take control before Cage hit a wild superplex to send us into a break.

This bout had a quick pace and some hard-hitting action, but there were times when it felt like they were going from spot to spot with no real reason behind some of what happened.

The Bang Bang Gang was able to secure a victory, getting them one step closer to a trios title shot.

Result: Bang Bang Gang defeated Cage of Agony

Grade: B-

Aminata rubbed some salt in Deeb's wound before taking on Robyn Renegade, who got a nice hometown pop during her intro.

They traded some groundholds before Aminata began to control the pace. Renegade got in some good offense, but this was always going to end with Aminata getting the win.

The Queen kicked out of a rough DDT and won with a few stiff moves. Deeb attacked her and held on a single-leg crab until officials broke it up.

Result: Aminata defeated Renegade

Grade: C+

Notable Moments and Observations

• Juice looking directly into the camera so closely was oddly unsettling. 
• Cage is so powerful that a difficult move like the apron superplex he hit looks easy when he does it. 
• Cage had a great sequence when he took everyone out. 
• Aminata may need to get checked out after that DDT. 

This week's main event saw James Drake and Zack Gibson take on Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in a highly anticipated matchup.

GYV and FTR are cut from the same cloth. They are wrestling purists who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

This was a hard-fought contest from the opening bell. GYV played its part perfectly as a young team that was sick of being compared to FTR.

After a great back and forth match, Harwood won with a Sharpshooter. GYV wasn't going to take the loss lightly and attacked FTR until The Outrunners made the save.

Result: FTR defeated GYV

Grade: A-

Notable Moments and Observations

• Nigel referencing Dave Taylor was nice. He deserves more credit. 
• Drake and Gibson are very good at making their strikes look real. 
• GYV has some great double-team moves. 

This was a pretty standard episode of Collision with a great main event to close things out.

Getting two women's matches that advanced a few different stories was nice, but the trios division got the most attention.

Yuta's great performance will sadly be overlooked, but it's worth watching if you are invested in the BCC storyline.

FTR and The Grizzled Young Veterans stole the show, and The Outrunners had the crowd going nuts at the end. The good outweighed the bad by a decent margin.

Grade: B
