Bears vs. Texans: Updated Odds, Money Line, Spread, Props to Watch for SNF

Two up-and-coming young quarterbacks will be in the national spotlight on Sunday Night Football during Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. C.J. Stroud (last season's NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year) and the Houston Texans will welcome rookie Caleb Williams (the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft) and the Chicago Bears to town for a primetime matchup.
The Texans got off to a strong start in Week 1, as they went on the road and recorded a 29-27 win over the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts. Stroud picked up where he left off last year by passing for 234 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
Meanwhile, the Bears also opened the season with a win, as they notched a 24-17 home win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. However, it was a quiet debut for Williams, who threw for 93 yards and didn't account for any touchdowns.
Perhaps Williams will put up bigger numbers this Sunday, when he'll be trying to keep pace with Stroud, who appears poised for another impressive showing.
Here's everything bettors need to know about this Sunday night matchup. (All odds and lines courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.)
Updated Game Odds

Spread: Houston (-6.5)
Over/Under: 45.5 total points
Moneyline: Chicago (+220; bet $10 to win $22); Houston (-270; bet $27 to win $10)
This will be only the seventh time that the Bears and Texans have faced off. Houston won the first four meetings (2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016), while Chicago has won the past two (2020 and 2022).
It was a competitive matchup in the most recent occurrence, as the Bears notched a 23-20 home win over the Texans in Week 3 of the 2022 season.
Bears Props to Watch

Caleb Williams: Under 213.5 passing yards (-115)
It would be surprising if Williams doesn't throw for more yards than he did in Week 1. The 22-year-old should certainly put up more than 93 in his second NFL game.
With that being said, going from 93 to 214 is a big jump, especially when Williams and the Bears will be taking on a quality opponent. It'll be a better showing for the USC product, but he won't quite get to this mark, even if he clears 200 through the air.
Williams: Over 0.5 interceptions (-160)
Will Williams throw his first NFL touchdown? Perhaps. But it seems likely that he'll throw his first career interception in his matchup.
Houston's pass rush should put pressure on Williams, with Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter likely wreaking havoc in the backfield. That will result in at least one interception for a Texans defender.
Texans Props to Watch

Joe Mixon: Over 71.5 rushing yards (-115)
This line feels a bit low, considering how impressive Mixon was during his Texans debut last week. The 28-year-old received 30 carries in Houston's opener, turning that into 159 yards and a touchdown.
Mixon should be heavily involved in the Texans' game plan this week, and he looks rejuvenated amid his fresh start following seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. Expect him to easily rush for at least 72 yards vs. Chicago.
Dalton Schultz: Anytime touchdown (+220)
Although Schultz didn't get into the end zone in Week 1, he caught all three of the passes that came his way. The 28-year-old should be more involved in the offense some weeks, and that could be the case on Sunday night.
The Bears have already allowed one tight end to score a touchdown against them this season (the Titans' Chig Okonkwo). There's a decent chance that Schultz could become the second this week.
