Fantasy Football Week 14: Rankings, Projections and Waiver-Wire Tips

The Philadelphia Eagles look like the 2022 team that rode a strong run game, complementary play from Jalen Hurts, and the big-catch ability of AJ Brown to the Super Bowl.
Add Saquon Barkley to the mix and the team appears unstoppable.
All three of those superstar players are must-starts in Week 14 against a bad Carolina Panthers defense, but who else joins the NFC East leaders in the top 15 and what do their box score stat projections look like?
Find out with this preview, which also includes two waiver wire additions to consider.

Waiver Wire Pickup: Tim Patrick, WR, Detroit Lions

Tim Patrick caught two passes for 48 yards in Detroit's Thanksgiving victory over the Chicago Bears and those numbers, though seemingly pedestrian, should make him an intriguing option of fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
Lions quarterback has completed 43 passes of 20-plus yards in 2024, indicating the team's propensity dialing up the deep ball. Patrick averaged 24 yards per reception Thursday. In week 12 against Indianapolis, he caught four balls for 55 yards, an average of 13.8.
He has also tallied averages of 12.5, 22.7, and 26 yards-per-pass, suggesting he has the potential to be the Lions' deep ball threat. What he is not is a touchdown scorer as he has been held out of the end zone this season.
In PPR leagues, where every reception and yardage count, Patrick is one of those late-season pickups that could prove the difference maker in winning one's league or being the runner-up.
His next three opponents (Green Bay, Buffalo, and Chicago) are middle-of-the-pack against opposing wide receivers in fantasy this year.
The veteran wide out is available in nearly all ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
Waiver Wire Pickup: Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears

Don't look now but the coordinator change in Chicago has benefited its franchise savior, Caleb Williams.
The rookie quarterback has thrown for 596 yards the last two weeks, with five touchdowns and no interceptions. During that stretch, he has finished fourth and third among quarterbacks, respectively.
Against a 49ers squad in Week 14 that may not have Nick Bosa as he continued to rehab an injured hip and oblique, Williams will have an opportunity to shine. From there, a match-up against Minnesota and a rematch with Detroit await, both of which should give Williams an opportunity to compile stats and finish his inaugural season strong.
That he has begun using his legs to his advantage, with double-digit rushing yards in four consecutive games, only enhances his value. Especially for teams with quarterbacks facing stiff competition in Week 14 and beyond or just generally under-performing.
Rostered in just 37 percent of leagues following an uninspiring first half of the season under a head coach and offensive coordinator that have since been fired, it will be interesting to see if Williams can finish his season as a top 10 or 15 player at his position. For now, he is a worthwhile grab and start.
