The pro wrestling rumor mill just keeps finding ways to upstage itself when it comes to drama.

With the holidays on approach, so too are rare one-off pro wrestling moments on the calendar, like a Saturday Night's Main Event and the debut episode of Raw on Netflix in early January.

Along with those landmarks comes the expected bevy of surprise returns rumblings and match and feud plans that could impact things all the way up to WrestleMania. For a little extra spice, WWE has also teased something like a "transfer window' that will shake up the rosters before that big Netflix debut.

Which is to say...there's a lot to digest right now. Here is a look at the most important rumors to know and whether to buy or sell on each.

Huge Netflix Main Event?

The Rumor

The Netflix debut is starting to sound stacked. According to Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda Wrestling, CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins will happen there.

Reaction

It has felt like perhaps one of the most obvious things in modern pro wrestling history that Punk and Rollins would main event Night 1 of WrestleMania after years of never being able to do so. This would come as a pretty big surprise, especially given all the other massive things WWE could put on the debut episode's card.

Buy or Sell?

Buy. While it might smack as a mistake for some, this is typical WWE behavior, especially historically when thinking about brands debuting on new networks. The company wants to make an impression and this wouldn't mean the two can't still main event 'Mania.

Surprise Return Very Soon?

The Rumor

Is Charlotte Flair on the way back? According to WrestleVotes, creative has been asked to come up with the details of her return and it could happen as soon as Saturday Night's Main Event.

Reaction

Sometimes it's hard to get a read on whether WWE will let a return be a complete secret, or drum up the hype beforehand. Flair hasn't been seen in a ring in more than a year due to injury, so it does feel like things are getting close.

Buy or Sell?

Sell. The question is whether WWE should waste the return in mid-December. At this point, the upcoming shows will be stacked as is and one could argue it might be more impactful for her big return to happen near or even during the Royal Rumble PLE.

Big Names in the Transfer Window to Raw?

The Rumor

About that mentioned transfer window. According to PW Nexus (h/t Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats), major names like Roman Reigns and the Bloodline will head to Raw.

Reaction

It always felt like Raw going to Netflix could mean a major roster shakeup. That's just simple good business. Shifting Reigns and Solo Sikoa's Bloodline there, at least for the time being, would have the desired impact in terms of making the red brand actually feel like it matters again.

Buy or Sell?

Easiest buy of the week. This always felt like a question of how, not if. WWE going with a transfer window after years and years of failing to get a draft right could be a smart move in the long run, too. It wouldn't be a shock to see names like CM Punk and others change brands, too.

Change of Plans for Goldberg?

The Rumor

Goldberg feels inevitable, but the long-expected match apparently isn't. According to Viper of PW Nexus (h/t Ortman), WWE has gone away from the idea the returning legend will have a match with Gunther.

Reaction

Plans change, pal. Niche pro wrestling jokes aside, Gunther's title reign has fizzled out a bit and his squashing Goldberg in a match wouldn't do much to help it along. There are plenty of veterans on the full-time roster like Drew McIntyre or heck, even John Cena, who could have fun one-offs with the legend.

Buy or Sell?

As hinted, this is a big buy. Tack on the fact that Gunther's title could quickly go to bigger things ahead of WrestleMania season, like somehow getting wrapped up in the Punk vs. Rollins feud. Otherwise, a match between Gunther and Goldberg might need to happen very soon, which might not even be possible at this point.

Biggest Return of All?

The Rumor

Are fans finally nearing a Becky Lynch return? According to Viper of PW Nexus (h/t Ortman), Lynch will make her return by the Royal Rumble in early February.

Reaction

A few major landmarks that would have made sense for a Lynch return have already passed. Next up, naturally, is the Royal Rumble, right? If it's not the first Raw on Netflix, perhaps a surprise entry into the women's rumble would make a lot of sense to inject some life into the main event scene before 'Mania.

Buy or Sell?

Buy. On paper, perhaps Flair returns first and starts dominating, only for Lynch's music to hit during the rumble. But the rumble really does feel like the final deadline before fans can start worrying about whether she'll actually be at 'Mania.
