Eagles' 2025 Free Agents, Targets and Draft Needs After Super Bowl 59 Win
Eagles' 2025 Free Agents, Targets and Draft Needs After Super Bowl 59 Win

The Philadelphia Eagles stumbled through a late-season collapse in 2023 but bounced back in a big way this past season, ending on top of the sport as Super Bowl Champions.
Philadelphia fell short of the No. 1 seed for the second straight year, but it won the NFC East and finished as one of the most complete teams in the entire league. The Eagles navigated a couple of relatively close playoff contests before exploding the NFC title game. Philadelphia routed the rival Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship, then dominated the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
A few moves Philly made in the 2024 offseason made all the difference. The addition of running back Saquon Barkley grabbed much of the attention. However, the Eagles also added offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio before GM Howie Roseman navigated another successful draft.
The future again looks bright in Philadelphia, but now that the Eagles' title run is over, it's time for Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni to start considering what's next.
The Eagles have done an excellent job of locking up core players, but there are still needs to address and contracts to consider. Here's a look at what's in store for the Super Bowl champions in the 2025 offseason.

Roseman's roster-building strategy is centered around identifying long-term building blocks and extending them early. This is why core players like Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown and Jordan Mailata are all under contract for the foreseeable future.
While Philadelphia's list of impending 2025 free agents isn't extensive, it does include a couple of players who are deserving of long-term deals.
Mekhi Becton, for example, has been a pleasant surprise after making the switch from tackle to guard in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old never worked out as a tackle for the New York Jets, but he's been a full-time starter for the Eagles and has performed well.
Given his age—he'll turn 26 in April—Becton is worthy of a long-term investment. Linebacker Zack Baun is a few years older (28) but has been a massive addition to Philadelphia's defense this season. The Wisconsin product racks up tackles in bunches, has done a little bit of everything well and should also be considered a part of Philly's future.
Josh Sweat was the Eagles' most consistent edge-rusher this season, while Milton Williams was an underrated contributor along the defensive line. Role players like receiver/returner Britain Covey, backup lineman Le'Raven Clark, backup running back Kenneth Gainwell and long-snapper Rick Lovato have been important pieces but may not be major offseason priorities.
Brandon Graham has long been a staple of the Eagles defense, but at 36 and coming off of a torn triceps, he may well decide to call it a career. Graham stated in July that this would be his final season, though no one in the organization will be upset if he changes his mind.
Potential Free-Agent/Trade Targets

The Eagles may not be major players in 2025 free agency. They're currently projected to have $23.9 million in cap space available and may use a good chunk of that to re-sign their own.
Philadelphia's roster doesn't have many glaring weaknesses either. The Eagles still need a dependable third receiver and could use another receiving tight end behind Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. They could benefit from depth along the offensive and defensive lines.
It would be fairly surprising to see Roseman go after any big-money free agents in the early days of the open market, though. He made a splash by signing Barkley last offseason, but overspending on external talent isn't typically part of his offseason plan.
Don't expect Roseman to chase the likes of Tee Higgins or Jevon Holland this spring.
If the Eagles do decide to splurge on a top-tier free agent, New York Giants pass-rusher Azeez Ojulari will be a name to watch. He recorded six sacks this season and won't turn 25 until June.
More realistic targets for the Eagles include tight end Harrison Bryant, guard Will Fries, defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa and wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
Older players like Khalil Mack and DeMarcus Lawrence might garner some consideration if they're willing to sign team-friendly deals. However, Roseman will likely prioritize youth and strong team fits over star power.
The Eagles probably won't be overly active on the trade market either. They dealt for backup quarterback Kenny Pickett last offseason but were quiet at the in-season deadline. A flier for another former draft disappointment—like defensive end Drake Jackson, lineman Sidy Sow or running back Kendre Miller—could make sense at a bargain rate.
Draft Targets

Barkley undoubtedly made a massive difference this season, but Philly got major contributions from rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean too. Expect Roseman to look for more impact players in the 2025 draft.
Philadelphia currently holds nine selections in the first five rounds of the 2025 draft. It owes a third-rounder to the Washington Commanders for receiver Jahan Dotson, but it has a third-rounder coming back from a 2024 draft-day trade with the Miami Dolphins.
Roseman may take a best-player-available approach to Round 1, given the lack of glaring weaknesses, but prospects like Oregon defensive lineman Derrick Harmon, South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori and Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker, would be sensible targets.
Walker is a particularly intriguing option, and not just because he'd be another former Bulldog in a defense filled with them. While he may not have a defined position entering the NFL, his versatility would be a terrific fit for Vic Fangio's system.
"Walker is one of the most interesting draft prospects in this year's class, primarily because he played a few different positions in college, and his best spot at the next level is a bit of a question," Matt Holder of the Bleacher Report Scouting Department wrote.
The Eagles may also consider an offensive tackle to provide depth/insurance behind 34-year-old right tackle Lane Johnson. Ohio State's Josh Simmons and Texas' Cameron Williams are among prospects that should garner interest.
With Brown and Smith leading the receiver room, the Eagles probably won't target a first-round receiver. However, prospects like Texas' Matthew Golden, Utah State's Jalen Royals and Oregon's Tez Johnson could be on their Day 2 radar.
A lot will hinge on who Roseman retains and adds in free agency, but Ohio State edge-rusher Jack Sawyer, Clemson running back Phil Mafah, Iowa safety Sebastian Castro, Utah linebacker Lander Barton and Texas tight end Gunnar Helm are other potential Day 2 candidates.
