Australian Open 2025 Results: Winners, Losers and Highlights from Saturday's Bracket

Seven Americans made it through to the second week of the 2025 Australian Open.
Some of the fourth-round participants are obvious, like Emma Navarro and Madison Keys, who both won on Saturday.
However, some of the other members of that group are unexpected, like the unseeded pair of Alex Michelsen and Learner Tien in the men's singles draw.
Taylor Fritz, who entered as the top-seeded American man, suffered Saturday's biggest upset in Melbourne. He fell to Gael Monfils in four sets.
Monfils and his wife Elina Svitolina each toppled the No. 4 seeds in their respective draws on Saturday.
Svitolina eliminated Jasmine Paolini, who became the highest-seeded woman to lose through three rounds.
Men's Results

Gael Monfils def. No. 4 Taylor Fritz, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (1), 6-4

Lorenzo Sonego def. Fabian Maroszan, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (6), 6-1, 6-2
Learner Tien def. Corentin Moutet, 7-6 (10), 6-3, 6-3
Gael Monfils stunned Taylor Fritz in four sets.
The 38-year-old Frenchman continued his resurgence in Melbourne with a come-from-behind four-set triumph over the No. 4 seed.
Fritz came into Melbourne as the top American threat to win the men's singles title, and through two rounds, he looked like he fit the part with a pair of straight-set wins.
Instead, Fritz is headed home and Monfils is into the fourth round at a Grand Slam for just the second time since the start of 2021.
Monfils will face another American, No. 21 seed Ben Shelton, in the fourth round. Shelton is a two-time quarterfinalist at hard-court majors and made his breakthrough two years ago in Australia with a run to the final eight.
Shelton is the only seeded player left in his quarter of the draw. American Learner Tien is one of the three unseeded men left in that portion.
Tien followed up his upset of Daniil Medvedev with a straight-set victory on Saturday. He faces Lorenzo Sonego in the fourth round.
Alex Michelsen, the other unseeded American left in the draw, has a massive match on his hands in the fourth round against No. 8 seed Alex De Minaur.
Michelsen will try to pull off a third win over a top-20 player in four rounds against the hometown favorite.
Top seed Jannik Sinner once again avoided any chaos with a three-set victory that set up a clash with No. 13 seed Holger Rune in the fourth round.
Sinner is viewed as the clear favorite to make the final from the top half of the men's draw.
Women's Results

No. 2 Iga Swiatek def. Emma Raducanu, 6-1, 6-0
No. 28 Elina Svitolina def. No. 4 Jasmine Paolini, 2-6, 6-4, 6-0
No. 6 Elena Rybakina def. No. 32 Dayana Yastremska, 6-3, 6-4
No. 8 Emma Navarro def. Ons Jabeur, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4
No. 9 Daria Kasatkina def. No. 24 Yulia Putintseva, 7-5, 6-1
No. 19 Madison Keys def. No. 10 Danielle Collins, 6-4, 6-4
Veronika Kudermetova def. No. 15 Beatriz Haddad Maia, 6-4, 6-2
Eva Lys def. Jaqueline Cristian, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3
Emma Navarro and Madison Keys added to the American contingent in the women's fourth round with wins on Saturday.
Navarro, the No. 8 seed, needed three sets to take down Ons Jabeur, while Keys won a top-20 battle with fellow American Danielle Collins.
Keys has reached six hard-court Grand Slam quarterfinals in her career, but in order to get a seventh bid, she must beat No. 6 seed Elena Rybakina.
Rybakina is in some of the best form across the women's draw. She has yet to lose a set in Melbourne and won five of her six sets by three or more games.
Navarro has a similarly tough matchup against No. 9 seed Daria Kasatkina, who like Rybakina, has not lost a set through three rounds.
Iga Swiatek has also cruised into the third round. She should be fresh for the Navarro-Kasatkina winner since she faces an unseeded player in the fourth round.
