Rousey vs. Kaufman Fight Card: B/R MMA Picks for Fight-Night Bonuses

Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman was another stellar event for the promotion. The fighters on the card stepped up and put on exciting fights.

Both the co-main and main events of the evening were stopped in under a minute, and only three bouts on the entire card went to the judge's scorecards.

Strikeforce has not typically given out fight-night bonuses, and at the previous Strikeforce event Lorenz Larkin got down on his knees to beg UFC President Dana White to give the fighters the post-fight bonuses that the UFC fighters are accustomed to.

While that may not happen, here are B/R MMA's picks for the fight-night bonuses.

Picking the Submission of the Night would be the hardest decision of the evening. Which armbar to choose?

Rousey's armbar was impressive, but Miesha Tate's had a bit of drama behind it.

The main event lasted under a minute with Rousey quickly sending Sarah Kaufman packing. Once she got her hands on her, it was all over.

Tate, on the other hand, came from behind to nab the submission out of nowhere.

Nearly finished in the third and final frame, she stayed alert and was able to catch Julie Kedzie in the submission. After a few attempts of breaking the submission, Kedzie was forced to tap out.

Submission of the Night: Miesha Tate

Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza made quick work of Derek Brunzon.

Forty-one seconds was all that was needed to level the up-and-coming prospect.

Jacare continues to improve on his feet and look crisp in his striking attack. The additions to his stand-up arsenal make him one of the most dangerous middleweights on the planet.

After brutalizing Brunson, Jacare could be next in line for a shot at the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship. If he is granted the title shot, he will get another crack at Luke Rockhold and the strap.

Knockout of the Night: Jacare Souza

This was an easy decision. Miesha Tate and Julie Kedzie not only put on one of the best fights of the night, but it was one of the best fights of the year.

Kedzie looked better than ever.

In the first round, she caught Tate with the tail end of a headkick that clearly rocked the former champion. Kedzie repeatedly found her mark in the striking department and was getting the better of Tate. It looked like a schoolyard beating in the first frame.

Tate responded in the second round and got a round back. After taking a few shots at the beginning of the round, Tate came back and was able to control it on the mat.

In the third and deciding round, Kedzie dropped Tate with a headkick. It landed perfectly. In her haste to try to finish the fight, Kedzie ended up in Tate's guard as she began to recover.

Tate used her superior grappling to go for the armbar. Kedzie defended well, but it would be for naught as Tate was able to lock it up and get the submission victory. This fight will definitely be in the discussion of fight of the year.

Fight of the Night: Julie Kedzie vs. Miesha Tate
