Crystal Palace Transfer Rumours: 5 Latest Names Linked to the Eagles

Crystal Palace's extra-time Championship playoff final victory over Watford saw them promoted to the Premier League after an eight-year absence. Manager Ian Holloway is keen to ensure that this stay in the top flight lasts longer than the Eagles' one season record, and the owners are willing to splash the cash to make that happen.

Having lost Wilfried Zaha to Manchester United in the January transfer window, Palace are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2013-14 season. Holloway has spoken of the need to "get serious players in," having won the biggest financial prize in world football if they are to survive in the world's richest league, as reported by the BBC.

Barcelona might appear to be an unusual choice of club for Crystal Palace to be approaching with a transfer request, but 22-year-old Marc Bartra could be swapping sunny Spain for South London this summer, per talkSPORT.

Having made eight starts in all competitions for the Catalan giants, he is keen to gain experience. The young centre-half is viewed as Barcelona's long-term replacement for Carlos Puyol and is currently playing for Spain at the European Under-21 Championships..

A season on loan at Palace would give him the regular league games against varied opposition, but with West Ham also reported to be interested, it could be a step too far for the Eagles.

Another relic from Holloway's Blackpool side, Dobbie scored three goals in 15 appearances for the Eagles, and there are reports that he has already signed a pre-contract agreement, according to Pete O'Rourke of Sky Sports.

Thomas Ince is another player from Holloway's former club who is on Palace's radar. Currently playing under his father, Paul Ince, Thomas has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs.

As Peter O'Rouke at Sky Sports reports, Ince said that he would have a conversation with his father regarding his future following the European Under-21 Championships and that opportunity has come sooner than he may have liked following England's disappointing group-stage exit.

With Tottenham Hotspur and former club Liverpool also admiring the creative winger, Holloway will need to offer something special if Ince decides to leave Blackpool.
