BYU Football: Complete NFL Combine Results and Grades for Former Cougars

With the offseason media being overrun with names including Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater, there hasn't been excessive first-round talk headed in BYU's direction.
The NFL combine is always a place to change that. BYU was represented in this year's combine by five* former players—four on the defensive side of the ball. Cougar household names, like Kyle Van Noy and Cody Hoffman, participated and were given opportunities to get higher on draft boards.
How did the former Cougars perform? Here's a complete guide.

Daniel Sorensen

Height/Weight: 6'1", 205 lbs
Arm Length: 31"
Hand Length: 8.5"
40-Yard Dash: 4.67 seconds
Bench Press: 13 reps
Vertical Jump: 32.0"
Broad Jump: 114.0"
3-Cone Drill: 6.47 seconds
20-Yard Shuttle: 3.95 seconds
60-Yard Shuttle: 10.80 seconds
Sorensen had a rough start, finishing as one of the bottom three safeties in three of his first four drills. His final three tests were the polar opposite as he finished with the best times for his position. Had he started the same way, we could see Sorensen with a great chance of being drafted. Still, the opportunity is possible.
Grade: B+
Eathyn Manumaleuna

Height, Weight: 6'2", 296 lbs
Arm Length: 32.25"
Hand Length: 10"
40-Yard Dash: 5.16 seconds
Bench Press: 29 reps
Vertical Jump: 28.0"
Broad Jump: 101.0"
3-Cone Drill: 7.78 seconds
Manumaleuna's bench press total finished in the top 10 at his position, but none of his other numbers really stood out. He came into the combine as a no-name, and although he isn't one of the top defensive lineman prospects, his showing was solid. He performed better than expected.
Grade: C+
Cody Hoffman

Height, Weight: 6'4", 223 lbs
Arm Length: 33.25"
Hand Length: 9.75"
40-Yard Dash: 4.65 seconds
Bench Press: 13 reps
Vertical Jump: 27.5"
Broad Jump: 108.0"
3-Cone Drill: 6.89 seconds
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.20 seconds
Despite having an above-average 3-cone drill time, Hoffman performed poorly at the combine. His measurements in broad jump and vertical jump were dead last among wideouts. With a bevy of talented receivers in this year's draft, these numbers will definitely jeopardize Hoffman's chances of being drafted.
Grade: C-
Kyle Van Noy

Height, Weight: 6'3", 243 lbs
Arm Length: 31.625"
Hand Length: 9.625"
40-Yard Dash: 4.71 seconds
Bench Press: 21 reps
Vertical Jump: 32.5"
Broad Jump: 112.0"
3-Cone Drill: 7.22 seconds
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.20 seconds
The biggest knock on Van Noy coming into the combine was a lack of elite athleticism. It seemed that he didn't have the speed or the strength be a successful NFL linebacker. Although KVN didn't post any numbers that will blow you away, his solid 40-yard dash and 20-yard shuttle times are definitely worth noting.
