Becky Lynch, The Rock and Biggest Names Missing from WWE WrestleMania 41 Match Card
Becky Lynch, The Rock and Biggest Names Missing from WWE WrestleMania 41 Match Card

WrestleMania is the biggest night of year for WWE, but not everyone can make the card for the two-night event.
WWE has typically loaded up multi-wrestler matches to get as many people as possible at The Show of Shows, but even then top names can get left behind.
This year, the company has relied on building WrestleMania 41 around the four central world title bouts, and nothing else has been announced.
This means Jey Uso and Tiffany Stratton are on the card for April 19-20 at present but not The Rock or Becky Lynch.
Anything could happen on the road to WrestleMania, but the following are the biggest names still waiting for their 'Mania spot to be announced.
Sami Zayn
While Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41 is official, a third man in this story could well miss out entirely.
After delivering the best WWE match of the year so far with KO, Zayn was left barely responsive. To sell his injuries, he has been off TV since Elimination Chamber on March 1.
He could still play a role in The Viper vs. The Prizefighter, but it is a shame that he could not find his own place on the card after a career year.
Zayn had a true WrestleMania moment last year by stealing the show with Gunther, and he has made his case as a true world title contender.
Perhaps he could find his way into a title opportunity based on how the 'Mania card shapes up, but the signs point to Zayn only having a cameo role.
Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch is not just missing from the build to WrestleMania, but she is also missing from WWE as a whole.
After letting her contract expire in 2024 to spend time raising her daughter, Roux, The Man quietly re-signed ahead of 2025.
She has been used in promotional materials for Raw on Netflix but has not appeared otherwise so far.
It's likely she will appear at The Show of Shows in some capacity, perhaps as host or to help Seth Rollins, but there is not enough time to build a story ahead of an in-ring appearance.
While Lynch has been building a fruitful acting career outside of WWE, including joining the cast of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, wrestling is still where she most thrives.
The women's division needs stars like The Man in action to increase the spotlight on the performers, so hopefully she will appear again sooner rather than later.
The Rock
At the end of WrestleMania 40, all signs pointed to The Rock returning to action at WrestleMania 41 to fight Cody Rhodes.
He had pinned The American Nightmare on Night 1 and then tried to screw him over on Night 2 but failed.
Despite the speculation, The Final Boss had been mostly absent from WWE TV until the build to Elimination Chamber.
He offered an opportunity to Rhodes to become his corporate champion, and when The American Nightmare refused, he was attacked by John Cena.
The stage is set for Rhodes vs. Cena with The Rock likely in The GOAT's corner, but nothing is certain yet as The Final Boss has disappeared since Elimination Chamber.
This might be the last 'Mania that The Rock could confidently wrestle at, so it's a surprise that he is unlikely to compete.
Alexa Bliss
After two years away, Alexa Bliss returned for the women's Royal Rumble match on February 1 to the biggest pop of the year so far.
The multi-time women's champion shuffled up expectations for the women's division and also found her way into the women's Elimination Chamber match a month later.
However, nothing has materialized for her road to WrestleMania 41. Even teases of tension with Liv Morgan have been left incomplete.
While there is still time to get Bliss more involved, WWE has not done a strong job teasing where she will go next.
Signs are getting worse in fact after Bliss was removed from WWE World, confirmed by Fanatics Events on X, and posted a cryptic tweet on X in response:

The best hope at this point is that Bliss will join The Wyatt Sicks soon and give the whole group a spotlight at The Show of Shows.
Drew McIntyre
The star of 2024 has an uncertain road to WrestleMania 41. Drew McIntyre is not in any title scene, instead continuing to antagonize Damian Priest.
While The Punishment is a former world heavyweight champion, he is not a clear singles draw at present in WWE. But The Scottish Warrior is.
McIntyre has earned a spotlight at The Show of Shows, but his best path at present is to elevate his feud with Priest to a WrestleMania level.
This contest will likely feature on the card, but serious work needs to be done to allow it to stand out.
If not, this will feel like a waste of McIntyre's major momentum coming out of last year.
LA Knight
LA Knight is again United States champion, but his direction remains as uncertain as when he lost the gold to Shinsuke Nakamura.
While The Megastar is connected to the fight against The Bloodline on SmackDown, that story is focused most on Jacob Fatu, Braun Strowman and Solo Sikoa.
Perhaps Knight will find himself defending his gold against all those men, but it is a messy field of potential challengers.
Considering how popular The Megastar is, it's a shock that his role is not better defined on the road to 'Mania. He could have one strong challenger whether it be Fatu, Sikoa or even Drew McIntyre.
Each of these options is interesting and would not require much build to sell.
AJ Styles and Logan Paul
The return of AJ Styles at Royal Rumble was an exciting prospect, setting up a question for what he might do at WrestleMania.
Since then, The Phenomenal One has floated between options, teasing a feud with intercontinental champion Bron Breakker before possibly settling on Logan Paul.
Styles and Paul have been trading barbs in recent weeks, with each questioning the other man's legitimacy.
This likely will lead to a singles match between the two, but it hardly feels like they have done enough to earn that spotlight.
There is still time to pivot, perhaps throwing them into a multi-man match for the Intercontinental Championship with Penta, Finn Bálor and Dominik Mysterio also in the mix.
