Bold Predictions for WWE on the Road to WrestleMania 41 in Vegas

John Cena and Cody Rhodes continue to build heat going into WrestleMania 41.
Cody Rhodes and John Cena face off ahead of WrestleMania 41.

Few things promise bigger moments in WWE than the road to WrestleMania. This year's build to The Show of Shows has delivered a huge one already when John Cena turned heel on Cody Rhodes.

However, there should be more to come before and during WrestleMania 41 that can help reshape the landscape of the company.

Heel and face turns are a possibility. Championship will change hands, while stars will return and debut along the way.

What are the biggest moments that lie ahead on this road to WrestleMania?

The following are a set of bold predictions for what is to come before and during The Showcase of the Immortals at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19-20.

Rhea Ripley Won't Compete at WrestleMania 41

WWE continues to resist officially announcing the expected Triple Threat match for WrestleMania 41 between Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.

While the final decision will be made clear on the March 31 edition of Raw on Netflix, WWE has teased enough that it is worth speculating that fans may just get the announced match between Sky and Belair.

While a Triple Threat would be great, The Genius of the Sky and The EST of WWE can also deliver a classic one-on-one, and Ripley has had many big 'Mania moments in the past.

This could well be the time for Mami to step back and let two of the best women's wrestlers in the world work together.

It could even further push Ripley heel as she feels WWE is holding her back from opportunities after being so long featured.

Cody Rhodes Will Out-Talk John Cena

John Cena has been doing a lot of talking in recent weeks, but whenever Cody Rhodes has arrived, he has backed off.

Eventually, these two will have live mics in the ring at the same time and deliver the long-awaited promo battle.

For years, Cena has "buried" his opposition in situations like this, leaving everyone to question if the opponent is worthy of fighting him.

The stage has been set though for something else entirely this time, a true changing of the guard.

Rhodes has the talent to move a crowd to back him, even when facing down The Rock. He can do the same thing against Cena.

The GOAT also has clearly set the stage for The American Nightmare to take his place in WWE, and he can only do that if he stands out next to Cena.

This will also allow Cena to put over Rhodes while still defeating him at WrestleMania 41.

Becky Lynch Will Return at 'Mania to Win Women's Tag Team Championship

Fans continue to wait for the return of Becky Lynch, who disappeared from television following her loss to Liv Morgan in a steel cage match on the May 27 edition of Raw.

She was without a contract with WWE through the rest of 2024 but has since re-signed with the company, highlighted by her appearances on marketing materials.

While many expected The Man to return in the 2025 women's Royal Rumble, she still remained out of the public eye.

It is hard to imagine her missing 'Mania, so she could be the big return delivered at The Show of Shows.

WWE has recently teased Lyra Valkyria and Bayley challenging Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's Tag Team Championships at 'Mania.

While The Role Model has history with the tag titles, her story with Valkyria is limited. They would be an odd pairing.

WWE could instead deliver a bait-and-switch with The Judgment Day laying out Bayley at 'Mania only for Lynch to team with The Valkyrie instead.

This would be a huge moment and allow Valkyria to team with her Irish idol. It would also make The Valkyrie a double champion, at least briefly.

The Man made it her mission before she left WWE in 2024 to put over Valkyria, and she can do so in a big way in 2025.

Stephanie McMahon is Named Host of WrestleMania

Stephanie McMahon took some time away from WWE but has finally re-emerged to celebrate the company.

ESPN original series Stephanie's Places debuted on March 26, which WWE will likely hype heavily in the coming weeks.

This sets the stage for McMahon to return to the ring in a hosting role, taking on that responsibility for WrestleMania 41.

The 'Mania host role has been a tradition in the past. WrestleMania 40 did not have a host, though Triple H took on the job unofficially as the show was so focused on him taking over WWE Creative.

McMahon can work with a variety of stars not on the card and possibly even book an impromptu match to sell that anything can happen at The Show of Shows.

Trick Williams Will Become 3-Time NXT Champion By Aligning with Darkstate

NXT may not be on the radar for many fans following the main roster on the road to WrestleMania, but it could deliver some game-changing twists for all of WWE soon.

The biggest angle in NXT at the moment is the arrival of Darkstate, a mysterious stable that is destroying everyone in its wake.

It is unclear what this quartet is angling to accomplish, but it has set its focus on NXT champion Oba Femi.

On Tuesday night, Darkstate threatened The Ruler and his potential challenger, Je'Von Evans, by darkening the arena.

However, the faction did not attack. But Williams did, as he blasted The Young OG "accidentally" with a Trick Knee.

This likely is the first step to revealing Trick as the leader of the group, giving it a major mouthpiece for its violence.

It also sets the stage for Trick to get his NXT Championship back, relying on Darkstate to take out Femi and Evans on his way to the gold.

If it happens, Trick would be the only man besides Samoa Joe in 2021 to win the NXT Championship three times.

This may not affect the main roster immediately, but Trick leading a renegade heel stable could translate to any brand soon.

Stephanie Vaquer Delivers the 2 Best Women's Matches of WrestleMania Weekend

Stand & Deliver is NXT's WrestleMania, and everyone will looking to steal the show before Night 1 of The Show of Shows on April 19.

This year, it seems likely Stephanie Vaquer will walk into that show with all of the women's gold following her victory over Giulia to capture the NXT Women's Championship.

Based on the events of Tuesday's NXT, The Dark Angel will be defending that title as well as the Women's North American Championship in separate matches.

This sets up Vaquer to work two times at Stand & Deliver, and she will deliver in a big way.

While WWE fans are less familiar with the 31-year-old than many other female wrestlers, she has already shown why she is one of the best in the world.

The Chilean has the talent to elevate her competition, and NXT has arguably the best women's roster in all of WWE.

If Vaquer defends the NXT Women's Championship against Jordynne Grace and the Women's North American Championship against Kelani Jordan or Karmen Petrovic, she could well steal the whole weekend...twice.

Jacob Fatu Turns on Solo Sikoa

Jacob Fatu has made it clear for a long time that he loves Solo Sikoa, the man who brought him into WWE.

However, The Samoan Werewolf is a dangerous and volatile character who is losing patience with his former Tribal Chief.

It's likely both will play some role in the United States Championship match between LA Knight and Braun Strowman to set up a bigger title contest at WrestleMania 41.

While WWE may only tease tension for 'Mania, it's also possible Fatu will be fed up with Sikoa before the show to clear his path to gold.

All signs point to The Samoan Werewolf capturing the United States Championship at 'Mania, and he won't need his former Tribal Chief after that.

It is also likely Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa will join Fatu in rebelling against Sikoa, forcing the former Tribal Chief to work with his brothers.

This is a big story that will shake up The Bloodline post-WrestleMania and likely affect the landscape of WWE for a long time to come.

LA Knight Sets Stage for Shocking Heel Turn on Cody Rhodes

LA Knight has finally reclaimed his United States Championship, but it may not last long as many challengers are lining up on the road to WrestleMania.

The Megastar is set to defend his title against Braun Strowman on Friday's SmackDown, and it's likely he will retain.

However, The Bloodline is lining up to go after Knight heading into 'Mania. He will have a tougher time overcoming the threats of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

Once he has lost the gold, The Megastar will need a fresh direction, and he could be perfectly set up for a shocking heel turn, aligning with The Rock and John Cena.

Knight's character was built from a reverence to The Final Boss, and he would fit in without having to change much about himself.

Moreover, he has history with Cena, who put Knight over in 2023. The stage has been set and would give Cody Rhodes a major rival after 'Mania, whether The American Nightmare is still world champion or not.

This would be a big spotlight for Knight, who can be the weekly representative of the group The Rock is forming.
