Miami Open Masters 2025: Women's Final and Men's Semifinals Bracket Preview

TENNIS: MAR 27 Miami Open

The matchup for the 2025 Miami Open women's final is set.

On Saturday, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will take on Jessica Pegula in a rematch of the 2024 U.S. Open final.

Meanwhile, in the men's draw, Novak Djokovic remains on his quest to become the third-ever men's tennis player (Jimmy Connors, Roger Federer) to win 100 tour-level titles.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion will take on Grigor Dimitrov, while Taylor Fritz faces 19-year-old Jakub Mensik.

Below, you'll find previews and ultimate predictions ahead of all three matches.

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Jessica Pegula

Miami Open Presented by Itau 2025 - Day 10

Jessica Pegula ended 19-year-old wildcard entry Alexandra Eala's sensational run to reach her first-ever Miami Open final.

The 31-year-old has been dominant this week, earning impressive wins over talented players such as Anna Kalinskaya, Marta Kostyuk, and Emma Raducanu.

Now, she has a rematch with Aryna Sabalenka, eyeing revenge for her 2024 U.S. Open final defeat.

Sabalenka is in back-to-back WTA 1000 finals after dominating all the competition she faced this week.

Despite bouts of inconsistency this year, the world No. 1 has still won 22 of her 26 matches on the hard-court surface.

While Sabalenka will enter as the favorite given her dominance in the head-to-head battle (Sabalenka leads 6-2), Pegula is more than capable of competing with the three-time Grand Slam champion.

In the end, Sabalenka should be able to do just enough to escape in what's expected to be a tight battle.

Novak Djokovic vs. Grigor Dimitrov

TENNIS: MAR 27 Miami Open

Novak Djokovic stands just two wins away from becoming the third-ever player (Jimmy Connors, Roger Federer) to win 100 tour-level titles.

Despite entering the Miami Open amidst his longest losing streak since 2018, Djokovic has found top form once again this week, taking down formidable opponents such as Lorenzo Musetti and Sebastian Korda in straight sets.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has defeated Grigor Dimitrov in 12 of their 13 matchups.

Like their previous matchups, the Serbian will once again enter as the overwhelming favorite.

While Dimitrov has the consistency to keep the match within reach, Djokovic should be able to win in straight sets and continue his quest for a 100th tour-level title.

Taylor Fritz vs. Jakub Mensik

Miami Open Presented by Itau 2025 - Day 10

Taylor Fritz has yet to surrender a set this week, continuing to show he's one of the best players on the hard-court surface.

While the 27-year-old has always had one of the best serves on tour, it's his overall consistency and rally discipline that have stood out most this week.

The American has committed 25 or fewer unforced errors in three of his four matches this week.

The former Indian Wells champion thoroughly dominated Jakub Mensik, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0, in the pair's sole matchup at the 2023 US Open.

However, this time around, it won't be that simple.

Like Fritz, Mensik is brimming with confidence.

En route to his maiden ATP Masters 1000 semifinal, the 19-year-old has earned impressive wins this week over recent Indian Wells champion Jack Draper and Arthur Fils, who knocked out No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev in the Round of 32.

Given both players' heavy-serving abilities, it would not be surprising if the outcome were decided by a few tie-breakers.

While Fritz will likely enter as the favorite, Mensik is more than capable of competing on equal ground, especially considering his fitness advantage and drop-shot capabilities.
