Backstage WWE and AEW Rumors on Roman Reigns, Liv Morgan and More

The wrestling rumor mill continues to churn out insider reports featuring some of the biggest stars in the industry following WWE WrestleMania 41, including Roman Reigns.
The Tribal Chief tops this collection, which also features an update on Liv Morgan's budding film career, an update on SmackDown's run time, and what is being said about the winners of this year's Owen Hart Tournament in AEW.
Roman Reigns Return Date

Roman Reigns has not been seen on WWE television since being beaten down and left lying by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker on the Raw after WrestleMania.
According to WrestleVotes, The Tribal Chief is expected back in early June.
Reigns traditionally takes time off after The Show of Shows, so the reported timetable is not surprising. In this particular case, it allows him to sell the attack from Rollins and Breakker while letting that new alliance shine on TV before he makes his return and seeks his revenge.
Depending on how early in June he is back, The Head of the Table could be ready for Money in the Bank in Los Angeles on June 7. Otherwise, he will likely be back to kick off the march to SummerSlam and whatever it is he will be involved in on that card.
May we suggest a one-on-one matchup with Breakker?
Liv Morgan Film Update

Women's tag team champion Liv Morgan will star alongside Lily James in Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, a film written by Daisuke Tengan, who penned the iconic Japanese horror movie, Audition.
Neon, winner of the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival in each of the last five years, is producing the movie.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reported that WWE, Morgan's talent agency and the film producers are working together on her schedule so that filming will have the least amount of impact on the company's storylines.
Morgan currently teams with Raquel Rodriguez as one-half of the women's tag team champions and is a key member of The Judgment Day, which is facing inner turmoil as Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio jockey for leadership of the faction.
That she is a major star for the company following the breakout year in 2024 only makes it more important that WWE finds a way to ensure she is not out of action and off TV for too long, even if the film is a huge "get" for one of its Superstars.
SmackDown Returning to 2 Hours

WrestleVotes also reported SmackDown is expected to return to two hours beginning with the June 6 episode. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed that date.
That will be a boost for the blue brand, after its quality dipped significantly with a three-hour runtime.
While some names have received more television time during those shows, matches and angles have been dragged out with no real direction, clearly existing solely to eat up time.
Going back to two hours should help tighten things up and make for a more cohesive and engaging product, which only benefits the show.
Owen Hart Tournament Winners Update

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that the winners of the Owen Hart Tournament are being "closely guarded" in an attempt to protect the main event of All In.
He wrote: "Fightful Select spoke with a number of sources that were told that both the winner of the Owen Hart tournament, as well as the main event, and world title match at All In are being closely guarded. We haven't heard if that's because the decision has not yet been made or if things are just being kept quiet."
"Hangman" Adam Page vs. Will Ospreay will meet in the finals of the men's tournament, while Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter will clash in the women's bracket.
Both matches should be very good to great, with the winner of Page vs. Ospreay challenging for the AEW World Championship at All In on July 12 in Arlington, Texas.
