Updated Mid-Major Top 25: Creighton, Harvard Still Undefeated, Gonzaga Goes Down
Here are the top 25 mid-majors in the nation based off my own evaluation.
I consider a mid-major team to be any team that is not from a "Big Six" conference, the Mountain West, the Atlantic 10 or Conference USA.

25. Davidson Wildcats
Record: 5-1, 2-0 SoCon
RPI: 19
Best Win: Richmond (Home)
Davidson has won its last four games. The Wildcats beat Wofford and Furman to start off SoCon play.
24. Old Dominion Monarchs
Record: 5-3, 1-0 CAA
RPI: 89
Best Win: Northeastern (Road)
Old Dominion defeated Northeastern in its first game of a four-game road trip. Next up on the Monarchs' schedule is Fairfield.
23. Missouri State Bears
Record: 3-2
RPI: 42
Best Win: Tulsa (Home)
Missouri State has lost its last two games after a 3-0 start. The Bears will have a chance to rebound against Oklahoma State on Wednesday.
22. Valparaiso Crusaders

Best Win: Duquesne (Home)
Valparaiso beat Butler in its Horizon League opener. The Crusaders will wrap up their three-game road trip at IPFW on Wednesday.

Best Win: Santa Clara (Home)
Santa Barbara has fallen to 2-2 after losses to San Diego State and UNLV. The Gauchos start a five-game road trip at San Diego on Dec. 13.

Best Win: Fairfield (Neutral)
Indiana State's comeback against Boise State fell short on Saturday, and the Sycamores picked up their second loss of the season.
19. Murray State Racers

Best Win: Southern Mississippi (Neutral)
Murray State remained undefeated with a 75-58 win over Dayton on Sunday. The Racers have their toughest test of the season coming up; they play at Memphis next Sunday.
18. Ohio Bobcats

Best Win: Marshall (Home)
Ohio picked up a key win over Marshall on Wednesday. The Bobcats travel to Portland on Wednesday for the first game of a two-game road trip.
17. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

Middle Tennessee picked up its third straight win, beating Akron 77-53 on Sunday.

Charleston beat Chattanooga in double overtime for its second win in SoCon play.

Best Win: George Washington (Neutral)
VCU defeated South Florida and George Washington this week to rebound from its close loss to Alabama. The Rams return home for a their next three games.
14. Weber State Wildcats

Best Win: Utah State (Home)
Weber State held off San Jose State in double overtime for its fourth win on the year. The Wildcats play at BYU on Wednesday.
13. Brigham Young Cougars

Best Win: Oregon (Neutral)
BYU improved to 5-2 with a win over Oregon on Saturday. The Cougars host Weber State on Wednesday.
12. St. Mary's Gaels
Record: 3-1
RPI: 1
Best Win: Northern Iowa (Home)
St. Mary's overcame a second-half deficit to beat Weber State last week. The Gaels have an easy stretch of games coming up over the next two weeks, playing Jackson State, North Carolina A&T, Bethune-Cookman and Kennesaw State.

Best Win: Albany (Home)
After a 2-2 start, George Mason has won its last four games. The Patriots play a pair of road games this week against Virginia and Radford.

Best Win: Iowa State (Road)
Northern Iowa extended its winning streak to six games with a win over Colorado State this week. The Panthers host in-state rival Iowa on Tuesday.
9. Wichita State Shockers

Wichita State picked up a key win over No. 20 UNLV on Sunday. The Shockers play at Tulsa on Wednesday.
8. Cleveland State Vikings

Best Win: Vanderbilt (Road)
Cleveland State beat Wright State and Detroit in its first two Horizon League games. The Vikings wrap up their six-game road trip against Robert Morris on Thursday.

After beating BYU Hawaii last week, Long Beach State will play at No. 14 Kansas and No. 5 UNC this week.

Kent State defeated UAB and Morehead state this past week. The Golden Flashes play at James Madison on Tuesday.

Belmont edged Mercer 82-78 on Saturday to improve to 4-2 on the season. That was the first time a team has come within four points of Belmont on its home floor since February 2010.

Best Win: St. Joseph's (Road)
Iona has won six straight games and is off to a 2-0 start in conference play. The Gaels continue their eight-game road trip at Denver on Wednesday.
3. Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga is off to a rough start in December after losing at Illinois. The Zags start a six-game homestand against Michigan State on Saturday.

Harvard remained undefeated with wins over Vermont and Seattle this week. The Crimson will face No. 10 Connecticut on Thursday.

Creighton picked up another solid win over Nebraska on Sunday. The Bluejays look to keep their undefeated season going against St. Joseph's on Saturday.

Just Missed the Cut
Here are a few teams that are close to making my top 25 but are not quite there yet:
Santa Clara (4-2) has won its last two games and plays Washington State on Sunday.
San Francisco (6-3) ended a two-game slide with a win at Montana.
Campbell (7-1, 2-0 Big South) has games against Virginia Tech and NC State coming up in its five-game road trip.
Denver (6-1) has won three of its last four games by double digits.
Milwaukee (6-1, 2-0 Horizon) has won its last three games, including a pair of Horizon League wins.
Butler (3-4, 0-1 Horizon) blew a second-half lead and lost in overtime to Valparaiso this week.
Loyola-Maryland (6-1, 2-0 MAAC) has won six straight games since losing to Wake Forest.
