We are now less then eight days away from the beginning the 2010 season.  Coaches are naming starters, depth charts are being formed, and the entertainment of fall camp is nearing an end.  

Here are 10 questions to keep you occupied, and your ego intact regarding the players, coaches, and teams entering the upcoming season.  

Sure you can look up the answers and cheat, and if you don't the correct answers are given on following slide.

Answer - Of these four players, Garcia was sacked the most at 37.  

The national leader was Zac Dysert of Miami (Ohio) with 51.  

Jefferson was sacked 34 times, Riley 30 times, and Harris 34.

Answer - Of these four quarterbacks, Jones had the best season as a freshman in 2009, throwing 26 touchdown passes.

As for the rest, Moore threw 25, Taylor threw 5, and Locker threw 14 touchdown passes.

Answer - Dennis Erickson is the only head coach to win a national championship, taking home two titles with Miami in 1989 and 1991.

Beamer has reached a BCS title game in a defeat to Florida State.  

Davis left Miami in 2000, just one year before Larry Coker took the Hurricanes to a BCS title.  

O'Brien has failed to ever reach a BCS Championship game.

Answer - California. The Golden Bears were snubbed from their best chance following the 2004 season.  

The Boilermakers lost to Washington in the 2001 Rose Bowl.  

Oregon State pounced on Notre Dame in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl, and Kansas defeated Virginia Tech in the 2007 Orange Bowl.

Answer - Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh's only time in the NFL was as the quarterbacks coach in Oakland from 2002 until 2003.  

Mike Riley served as the Chargers head coach from 1999 until 2001 when he returned to Corvallis.  

Saban spent two years as the Dolphins head coach, before taking the head coaching position at Alabama.

Jones was the head coach in Atlanta from 1995 until 1996.

Former Stanford running back Toby Gerhart and Navy quarterback Ricky Dobbs tied for the national lead with 27 rushing touchdowns.

New Mexico State was the worst in the nation at 11.5 points per game.  

Louisville averaged 18.1, Vanderbilt 16.2, and Army 15.3.

Answer - While Oklahoma led the nation with 1,044 yards off penalties, the Red Raiders were called for 120 infractions during the 2009 season.  

Oklahoma followed with 107, Arizona State with 111, and Georgia with 105.
