EPL Transfer Rumours: Birmingham, West Ham and Blackpool Stars Post Relegation

With the close of the Premier League season, some stars are feeling better than others.

Birmingham City, West Ham United and Blackpool were the unfortunate teams to be relegated this year, but all is not lost for some of their players.

Many of these teams' players have salaries that are simply too large to keep while they are in Championship League, and they will most likely be sold to the best bidder.

Here are some footballers you can expect to be exiting their teams and heading to greener pastures.

Cameron Jerome has been a decent striker for Birmingham in the past. This season he was only able to achieve three goals, and he didn't score a single goal after November.

He came off a decent season in 2009-10 in which he scored 11 goals in 32 caps.

Despite his poor performance this season, he still has high value and is definitely a player who puts a lot of effort on the field. 

Much of his performance can be attributed to poor play from his midfield, and there are a few teams that will be interested in his high work ethic on the pitch.

Stoke City, who expressed interest earlier this year in Jerome, still appear to be interested in Jerome after Birmingham's relegation.

David Vaughan, the 28-year-old Welsh midfielder, is looking to decide where he wants to go this coming season.

Even though Blackpool has been relegated, Vaughan had one of his best seasons of his career and was awarded with his club's player of the year award.

While he hasn't had any concrete offers, there has been interest from a couple clubs. 

Sunderland has expressed interest in signing him which would give him a return to the Premier League.

Another very large club that has expressed interest in him is the Rangers, and Vaughan has echoed that sentiment.

"It would definitely interest me," Vaughan stated. "Rangers are a massive club and play in the Champions League, so it's an attraction. I'll weigh up all my options"

Despite a weak showing in the 2010 World Cup, Robert Green is back onto the English National team, and he is still regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in England. 

After rumors that West Ham's club is about to have a sale of all their stars, Robert Green is most likely to join Scott Parker in leaving the relegated club.

Aston Villa has expressed an interest in picking up Green. With their current goalkeeper Brian Friedel sitting on 39 years of age, it seems a likely fit to bring in Green to replace him soon.

Another player involved in West Ham's dismantling will be striker Carlton Cole.

Hitting 10 goals in the previous two seasons, Cole was only able to net five goals in the 2010-11 season.

The English international striker, standing at 6'3", still is ready to bring his talent to another Premier team.

His abilities have garnered the attention of Stoke City.

Look for Stoke to make a move on either Cole or Jerome in the summer break.

Scottish international Charlie Adam is another player likely to be moved from Blackpool's player pool this season, after tallying 12 goals and eight assists with Blackpool.

Adam has been noted as having one of the better crosses in the league and has the ability to create a lot of opportunities for teammates.

With Wesley Sneijder planning to stay with Inter Milan, Adam has attracted the attention of Manchester United. Other clubs like Liverpool had expressed interest in Adam earlier this year but Blackpool's asking price was too much.

With Blackpool being relegated, however, the offers coming in for Adam might be too much for them to resist.

Scott Parker, the three-time West Ham player of the year, is one of the top prospects of the relegated clubs. 

The midfielder has been the leader of West Ham's squad for the past three seasons, and he has had a handful of caps with the English National team. 

Parker was also awarded with the EPL Player of the Month in February of this year.

He has attracted a lot of attention from a few big name clubs.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has expressed a lot of interest in Parker. However, the Spurs manager has said he will have some competition for Parker from some other large clubs.

“Which clubs? Arsenal, Liverpool. I think they’re big clubs in for him," Redknapp said. "That’s the rumours anyway, that’s what I hear, so it will be hard.”

Parker will definitely be a part of a major club come next season.
