WWE NXT 2.0 Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from March 29

In the last episode of WWE NXT 2.0 before NXT Stand & Deliver, the March 29 edition would feature multiple clashes of rivals while others looked to set their path for WrestleMania Weekend.
Cameron Grimes, Roderick Strong and A-Kid had lost their qualifying matches for the NXT North American Championship ladder match, but Carmelo Hayes granted them one final shot in a Triple Threat bout for the fifth berth in the contest.
LA Knight looked to get some momentum alongside MSK by challenging their upcoming opponents at Stand & Deliver, Imperium, to a six-man tag team match.
Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen finally got their hands on Legado del Fantasma. Bodhi Hayward fought for the honor of Chase University against Von Wagner. Draco Anthony stepped up to Joe Gacy.
Tuesday's show wasn't the most exciting on paper, but it did continue to build big matches ahead of the pay-per-view such as Dolph Ziggler vs. Bron Breakker and Mandy Rose vs. Cora Jade vs. Io Shirai vs. Kay Lee Ray.
Imperium vs. LA Knight and MSK
Imperium's music had barely started before this brawl began. LA Knight and MSK fought all the way to the ring. Once there, Knight battled Marcel Bartel and Fabian Aichner as a frowning Gunther watched on.
As the action ramped up, Gunther tripped Nash Carter off the apron. Knight went after him, and the two brawled to the back. Aichner knocked down Wes Lee then clotheslined Carter with the help of Bartel to win.
The Creed Brothers walked out afterward to stare down both their opponents for Stand & Deliver.
This was a solid opener. Knight's charisma got the crowd going while MSK and Imperium drove the speed of the match up whenever they were involved. Gunther did not do much here, but that only left more for the match to come with The Million Dollar Mega Star.
Imperium needed to win here as the established trio regardless of the result at Stand & Deliver. The NXT tag team champions have been quality guides for the tag team division, who will likely pass the torch to Brutus and Julius Creed shortly.

Notable Moments
- Lee caught Bartel in an inverted facelock to set up Carter to dropkick him in the face.
- Carter caught Bartel and Aichner with a running somersault plancha, but as Lee looked to follow outside, Gunther planted him with a big boot.
- Knight caught the hot tag, knocking Gunther off the apron and throwing around Bartel.
Ivy Nile (w/ Malcolm Bivens) vs. Tiffany Stratton
Tatum Paxley tried to endear herself to Diamond Mine, but Ivy Nile scolded her for sucking up.
Then, Tiffany Stratton kept talking as she managed to survive the aggressive offense of Ivy Nile. Sarray appeared on the apron to distract Stratton, who got herself locked in a single-arm dragon sleeper to force a tapout.
Stratton is still trying to impress in the ring, and she is getting better. It just feels awkward to act like she can seriously compete with someone as dangerous as Nile.
Throughout this match, it felt like The Pit Bull of The Diamond Mine was straining to make her opponent's offense look competent. She survived this match thanks to Sarray, but she should look more dangerous on the road to serious title contention.

Notable Moments
- Stratton knocked Nile to the mat, and she countered with an enzuigiri and running forearm before locking in a surfboard lock.
Legado Del Fantasma (w/ Lopez) vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen (w/ Henley)
Tommaso Ciampa said goodbye to WWE NXT with a heartfelt promo before leaving a steel chair with the dates of his NXT debut and Stand & Deliver, his last match, spray-painted on it.
Tony D'Angelo later told The Blackheart he made a big mistake by attacking the future Don of NXT from behind.
Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza walked out with Elektra Lopez, while Fallon Henley was in the corner of Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen. The two women fought late when Lopez tried to get involved. Briggs caught Wilde on a 450 splash with a goozle to set up a chokeslam and a high-low combination to win.
This was a fun tag team match from start to finish. Legado del Fantasma impress often with what they can do in the ring, and this was no different. Wilde especially stood out.
It's a shame they took a clean loss, but their time in the title scene has likely passed. Briggs and Jensen are finding their stride, growing from underdogs to genuine contenders.

Notable Moments
- Mendoza sent Jensen to the floor with a baseball slide followed by an impressive delayed elbow drop off the steel post from Wilde.
- Briggs got the hot tag, planting Mendoza with a side slam and Wilde with a big boot and backbreaker.
Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai Reunite to Attack Toxic Attraction
Dakota Kai could not find Wendy Choo, who had been attacked.
Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray then promised to end Toxic Attraction but began arguing over who would win the NXT Women's Championship. Cora Jade explained she wanted to be NXT women's champion because of her love of wrestling from an early age.
Mandy Rose told everyone they needed to remember who she was and refused to fear her three opponents. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne revealed they had attacked Choo before mocking all the competition. Kai attacked Toxic Attraction alone, surprisingly saved by Raquel Gonzalez.
It was cool to see Kai and Gonzalez together again. It looked like NXT would only have one women's match at Stand & Deliver, but instead it set up a tag title match worthy of the moment, bringing back the first champions.
This show is shaping up to be the end of an NXT era. It could well be the last time Tommaso Ciampa, Gonzalez and Kai are in an NXT ring, and they will all go out with a bang.
Grade
B
Notable Moments
- Toxic Attraction continue to talk a big game as though they have defended their titles against many top performers, yet the stable have combined for just three defenses in five months.
- While Kai and Gonzalez were hesitant at first, Kai eventually jumped into her former friend's arms before the two grabbed the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.
Von Wagner (w/ Robert Stone) vs. Bodhi Hayward (w/ Andre Chase)
Ikemen Jiro and Kushida set up the Jacket Time commentary table for this match, though the former was distracted by Sofia Cromwell, who watched this closely.
Meanwhile, Bodhi Hayward had Von Wagner on his back briefly, but he was no match for the big man, who won with an Olympic slam.
Afterward, Wagner laid out Jiro in the middle of the ring before ripping his jacket in half.
This was what it needed to be. Hayward showed his babyface potential that may be explored down the line. At the moment, he remains a jobber, placed at a lower level to mentor Andre Chase.
Cromwell's inclusion with Stone and Wagner is smart as she has an instant storyline to work with. She does not need to win generic matches to stand out.

Notable Moments
- Hayward went for a crossbody but instead got laid out with a fallaway slam.
- Hayward cut off Wagner at the knee and hit a running shoulderblock and splash.
Joe Gacy (w/ Harland) vs. Draco Anthony
Draco Anthony tried to fight off Joe Gacy, but the dangerous competitor kept moving. He planted Anthony with a handspring clothesline to win.
Gacy's matches have been the same every time out, and his move set is far too limited to be excited about. His story with Anthony remains uncomfortable rather than intriguing and hopefully it will end soon.
However, it is more likely that Anthony will soon join the awkward cult while turning his back on Xyon Quinn. Hopefully, NXT has some kind of endgame with this story.

Notable Moments
- Gacy tried to offer Anthony a hug, but he kicked his opponent in the face.
Nikkita Lyons vs. Sloane Jacobs
NXT 2.0 showcased a video package on the history of Dolph Ziggler in WWE. The Showoff mocked Bron Breakker and explained how bitter he is that Breakker has so much support behind him.
Another vignette was shown for Breakker, who promised to fight for NXT.
Nikkita Lyons then walked into her match with confidence, and Sloane Jacobs made her pay for it early. However, Lyons caught her with a series of kicks followed by a split-leg drop for the win.
Lash Legend mocked Lyons on the titantron, challenging her to a match next week.
This wasn't a terrible squash match. Lyons has shown what she can do in the ring against a passive opponent, though she will be challenged more seriously soon.
She will have to do some serious work to make Legend look good, though. This is a match that makes more sense on paper than in practice, and it could be disaster.

Notable Moments
- Jacobs caught Lyons with an armbreaker and sent her into the corner, only for Lyons to respond with a release German suplex and Samoan drop.
NXT Ladder Qualifer: Cameron Grimes vs. Roderick Strong vs. A-Kid
Cameron Grimes explained in an interview before the main event that he was nervous but needed to win.
Carmelo Hayes was interrupted by Grayson Waller, who agreed to join the champion on commentary. Malcolm Bivens hyped up Roderick Strong and Diamond Mine just before the match.
Melo joined commentary early before Solo Sikoa came to get a closer look. Waller then arrived with Sanga in the crowd. The action got the crowd on their feet. Strong planted A-Kid with a high knee and backbreaker, but Grimes caught him suddenly with the Cave-In to win.
The A Champion grabbed a microphone to mock Grimes but was interrupted by Santos Escobar, Waller, Sikoa and Grimes. A brawl broke out to end the night.
Unsurprisingly, all three men brought everything to this match. It was exciting from start to finish, and all three looked close to winning throughout. The Technical Savage was the favorite, but Kid also got the crowd behind him as well. But the story here was behind Grimes.
Anyone in the ladder match would make perfect sense as the next NXT North American champion, and it is hard to call a winner. It is the most unpredictable match on the card.
