6 of the Best Tries by the Late Great Jonah Lomu

Jonah Lomu's death on Wednesday came as a shock to the world. Tributes have been flowing, as have memories of the legendary winger's exploits on the rugby field.
The New Zealand superstar is seen as a revolutionary figure for the sport, winning 63 All Blacks caps, representing his country's national sevens team and starring in provincial and Super Rugby in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
At his peak, Lomu was unstoppable. It's only fitting we take a look back at some of his best moments as a player, revisiting some of his greatest tries.
Wellington vs. Canterbury, 2000
The last time Wellington won a provincial rugby championship, Lomu was on the scoresheet.
He twice bumped off Fijian Marika Vunibaka before bouncing over the line in a 34-29 win over Canterbury in the NPC final in Christchurch.
In a final unlikely to ever be replicated, the game featured a crazy 25 All Blacks.
Hurricanes vs. Sharks, 2000
A new season, a new team and a new stadium. It didn't take long for Lomu to make an impact at the Hurricanes.
In their season opener against the Sharks, he showed that his game wasn't all about hammering defenders, with a deft chip kick and chase.
Not a bad way to announce yourself to the new fans.
Blues vs. Northern Transvaal, 1996
One of two tries scored in this Super 12 match against Northern Transvaal in 1996, Lomu's exploits helped the Blues win their first title that season.
It's a testament to the man's ability that a 45-metre run in which he bumps off four defenders is described as a "finish."
New Zealand vs. France, 1999
Try counting the defenders Lomu passes in this try against France at the 1999 World Cup. It's not as easy as it sounds.
His defender is drawn out looking for an intercept, and the winger takes full advantage.
Lomu scored twice at Twickenham in the semi-final but couldn't replicate his efforts from four years earlier, New Zealand knocked out of the tournament after a 43-31 loss.
New Zealand vs. Australia, 2000
The expression "cometh the hour, cometh the man" may never be more true.
While in no way Lomu's most spectacular try, this tidy finish in the dying moments against Australia was memorable for what preceded it.
In front of a record crowd of over 109,000, the All Blacks raced to an early 24-point lead in what was later dubbed the "greatest game ever played."
Australia fought back and led in the dying moments. Enter Lomu.
New Zealand vs. England, 1995
Jonah Lomu transcended rugby, and this try epitomised Jonah Lomu.
His finest and most memorable moment came in the 1995 World Cup semi-final win over England at Cape Town.
Collecting the ball almost from a standing start, the All Blacks wing bumps off Tony Underwood and outsprints Will Carling, leaving Mike Catt as the only remaining line of defence.
Let's allow the defender to tell the story of the subsequent "train smash."
