The third incarnation of the XFL is shaping up to be a lot of fun. The opening week was highlighted by epic comebacks and stunning finishes, and Week 2 provided some of the same.

AJ McCarron and the St. Louis Battlehawks notched their second come-from-behind victory in as many weeks with a win over the Seattle Sea Dragons on Thursday night. On Sunday, the Houston Roughnecks managed to outlast the Arlington Renegades in a 23-14 contest—which in the XFL is a one-score margin.

Between those two games, though, were relatively less-competitive games. The DC Defenders leaned on their smothering defense to handle the Las Vegas Vipers 18-6 on Saturday. The San Antonio Brahmas rolled the Orlando Guardians in a 30-12 laugher early Sunday afternoon.

After two weeks, the Defenders, Roughnecks and Battlehawks are the league's lone undefeated teams, while the Vipers, Sea Dragons and Guardians remain winless. At least one of those teams will get into the win column this week, as the Sea Dragons and Vipers will kick off Week 3 on Saturday night.

Here, you'll find everything you need to know about the week, including scheduling information, odds and updated fantasy rankings.

Fantasy Analysis

Sea Dragons QB Ben DiNucci
Sea Dragons QB Ben DiNucci

With two weeks in the books, we're starting to uncover trends among XFL offenses. The Defenders, for example, continue to spell quarterbacks Jordan Ta'amu and D'Eriq King. The Sea Dragons have leaned heavily on quarterback Ben DiNucci.

DiNucci leads the league with a whopping 83 pass attempts. Brandon Silvers of the Roughnecks ranks second with 70 attempts. Silvers, though, ranks second with 445 passing yards and tied with Jack Coan with a league-high four touchdown passes, one more than DiNucci has.

We're projecting a bit with Brett Hundley, who replaced Luis Perez in Week 2 and went 11-of-18 for 98 yards while picking up 24 yards on the ground. Drew Plitt ranks highly this week too because the Guardians defense has been utterly terrible through the first two weeks.

Orlando has given up a combined 63 points.

Because Orlando is begging to stake its claim as the worst team in the XFL, we're also fairly high on Arlington players this week—including running back De'Veon Smith, tight end Sal Cannella and wideout Tyler Vaughns—though Vaughns (38 receiving yards) hasn't produced enough to crack our top 10.

At running back, a couple of players are beginning to emerge as top options. Max Borghi of the Roughnecks leads the position with two rushing touchdowns and ranks sixth with 69 rushing yards.

Brahmas running back Kalen Ballage is perhaps the only true bell-cow back in the league right now, as he leads with 36 carries, 13 more than any other running back. He should have a solid floor in Week 3, though his ceiling against a terrific D.C. defense is limited.

Jahcour Pearson leads our list of receivers, both because Seattle has been remarkably pass-heavy and because Pearson has produced. He's seen a league-high 22 targets and has a league-leading 173 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Josh Gordon falls down the top-10 rankings after logging just one reception in Week 2, though it was a 33-yarder. He, Pearson and Houston's Jontre Kirklin are the only wideouts with triple-digit receiving yards through two weeks, and there's a chance Gordon bounces back against Vegas.

Vipers wideout Jeff Badet and Batlehawks wideout Hakeem Butler lead all receivers with two touchdown catches apiece.

Renegades tight end Sal Cannella is one of the safest players at any position. He also has triple-digit receiving yards, while tight end Cody Latimer has 89 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Cannella, Latimer and Alizé Mack are the only truly reliable tight ends, though, as few offenses have featured the position prominently. Managers playing in daily fantasy sports (DFS) games shouldn't look to stray from the top three this week.
