Fantasy Football 2024: QB, RB, WR, TE Rankings and Top Sleepers

With the final week of the 2024 preseason underway, fans have officially begun the countdown to the 2024 NFL season.
For fantasy enthusiasts, this means that draft season has arrived. Those that haven't already held drafts for their season-long leagues will do so at some point between now and the September 5 opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
Many aspects go into a successful draft, but the process starts with finding "safe" players early and value late.
Here, you'll find updated point-per-reception (PPR) rankings for the top skill positions—quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end—along with a few sleepers to consider.
Quarterback

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
3. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
4. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
5. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
6. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
7. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
8. Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts
9. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
10. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
11. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
12. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
Sleeper: Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos have already named rookie quarterback Bo Nix as their Week 1 starter. Nix probably doesn't have as much early-season starting value as fellow rookies Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams. However, he could be a fine streamer or bye-week fill-in and is more valuable than his average draft position (ADP) of 200 might suggest.
The Broncos aren't exactly loaded with playmaking pass-catchers, but Nix has shown that he has a strong grasp on Sean Payton's offense. Russell Wilson passed for 3,070 yards and 26 touchdowns in 15 games last season, and Nix is capable of replicating those numbers.
Nix has also shown during the preseason that he isn't afraid to make plays with his legs. He isn't a true dual-threat like Daniels, Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, but he's highly likely to provide a few bonus points each week via rushing yards.
Running Back

1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 40ers
2. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
3. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
4. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
5. Breece Hall, New York Jets
6. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
7. Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
8. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
9. Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
10. Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens
11. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins
12. Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs
13. James Cook, Buffalo Bills
14. Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
15. Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
16. James Conner, Arizona Cardinals
17. Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots
18. Joe Mixon, Houston Texans
19. Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
20. David Montgomery, Detroit Lions
Sleeper: Gus Edwards, Los Angeles Chargers
While the Los Angeles Chargers still have Justin Herbert at quarterback, they're probably going to employ more of a run-oriented offense under new head coach Jim Harbaugh in 2024.
Harbaugh has traditionally built his teams to win with good defense, strong offensive-line play and a physical ground game. Additionally, the Chargers parted with pass-catchers Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Gerald Everett this offseason.
Gus Edwards is expected to be L.A.'s starter, and he could be in store for a big statistical jump. He had 990 scrimmage yards, 12 receptions and 13 touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens last season. He should carry more PPR value in Los Angeles with Austin Ekeler no longer around to serve as Herbert's outlet.
While the Chargers also have J.K. Dobbins in their backfield, he has a significant injury history and should leave Edwards as the primary back. Edwards is, at worst, a high-end flex option and more valuable than his 111.5 ADP would indicate.
Wide Receiver

1. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins
2. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
4. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
5. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
6. A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
7. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
8. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals
9. Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders
10. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets
11. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
12. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons
13. Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
14. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
15. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
16. Nico Collins, Houston Texans
17. Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams
18. Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers
19. D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears
20. DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Sleeper: Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers
Young wide receivers often make a big jump in their second seasons, and the Green Bay Packers are expecting one from Dontayvion Wicks.
"I think Dontayvion Wicks is going to have a monster year this year," quarterback Jordan Love said in a Bleacher Report Q&A. "I think he was able to do a lot of phenomenal things last year. I think the sky is the limit for him."
Wicks caught 39 passes for 581 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie last season while flashing loads of big-play ability (14.9 yards per reception). There's a non-zero chance that he will emerge as Love's go-to target in 2024 and potentially double last year's numbers.
With an ADP of 159, Wicks is trending as a true sleeper TE.
Tight End

1. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
2. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
3. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
4. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
5. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
6. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
7. Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars
8. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
9. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
10. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
11. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
12. David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
Sleeper: Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints
With an ADP of 161, New Orleans Saints gadget player Taysom Hill is trending as TE18. That's too low for a player with the positional versatility that Hill possesses.
Hill can operate as a pass-catcher, a running back and as an occasional quarterback. He only caught 33 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns last season, but he also rushed for 401 yards and four more scores.
His PPR upside isn't as high as that of some other tight ends, but Hill's 692 scrimmage yards made him a solid streamer or low-end starter in 2023. He should have similar numbers in 2024, and Hill is a strong sleeper target in the later rounds.
