The Ohio State Buckeyes returned to the top of the college football world at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, winning their first National Championship in a decade and first under head coach Ryan Day.

They also have an impressive class of incoming recruits, headlined by five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair.

Who else has put pen to paper, committing to the program, which players have opted to transfer to continue their collegiate careers with the champions, and who is the team's top unsigned recruit?

Find out with this look at the 2025 class.

Top Unsigned Recruit: Zahir Mathis

Mathis initially committed to Ohio State and Coach Day, but pulled that commitment in November, opting to take more before making a life-changing decision of that magnitude.

Since then, he has compiled 20 offers from different programs, including Rutgers, Connecticut, NC State, UCLA, Michigan State, West Virginia, Florida State, Maryland, Pittsburgh, among others.

Ranked the fourth best player in his home state of Pennsylvania, and 20th best EDGE rusher overall, the six-foot-six player out of Imhotep Institute is a big, strong, fast, athletic rusher who can beat protection inside and explode out to the perimeter to take down a back or receiver.

He shows great pursuit and stands out on tape as a player who can add significantly to a defense that was the best in the nation this year and a major reason the Buckeyes were able to win the National Championship.

While the Bruins and Seminoles are also contenders to land Mathis' services, the Buckeyes have only strengthened their ability to attract him to Columbus by winning the national title and fielding the dominant defensive unit that they have.

Prediction: Ohio State convinces Mathis to re-commit and continue his football career with the Buckeyes
