John Cena and Real Winners and Losers of WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 Match Card

WWE Elimination Chamber was the last premium live event stop on the Road to WrestleMania 41, crowning two new No. 1 contenders and answering important questions for The Show of Shows.

Bianca Belair emerged victorious in the women's Elimination Chamber match, setting the stage for a showdown with Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky.

The EST of WWE did so despite the distraction of a returning Jade Cargill beating down her tag team partner, Naomi, before the match could begin.

Nia Jax and Candice LeRae fell to the dream pairing of Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus, who received a hometown welcome at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Kevin Owens brutalized Sami Zayn in their intense Unsanctioned match, finishing the job with a pair of brutal apron powerbombs, only to then face the wrath of a returning Randy Orton.

John Cena outlasted the field in a highly competitive men's Elimination Chamber match to earn his shot at Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship.

The GOAT then pulled off a shocking heel turn, brutalizing The American Nightmare on behalf of The Rock.

Throughout a great night of competitive action, there were several real winners and losers who emerged on the Road to WrestleMania.

Loser: Naomi

Jade Cargill is back, and she made a statement by destroying Naomi and causing her to be medically unable to compete in the women's Elimination Chamber match.

The Storm could not have chosen a worse time for The Glow to get her revenge, which was likely entirely Cargill's plan.

This could be a positive in disguise, though, as Naomi vs. Cargill has quickly become the hottest angle in the women's division.

The crowd committed fully to booing Naomi, even singing "Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye" as she was stretchered out.

This will set the stage for The Glow to deliver her first top heel run in her WWE career, but she did lose out on a world title opportunity that she cannot get back.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair has found her back to the top of WWE, and she showed exactly why she deserves to headline the women's division on the Road to WrestleMania.

The EST of WWE and Liv Morgan were the workhorses of the women's Elimination Chamber match, putting on a show against the field and making it to the final two together.

It was an impressive, physical showing in which Belair reminded everyone that her braid may be the most lethal weapon in all of WWE, leaving multiple cuts and bruises on Morgan.

Rhea Ripley vs. Belair is a money match WWE has held off capitalizing upon until now. It will be a battle between the top powerhouses in the women's division.

This assumes Iyo Sky will lose on Raw to Ripley, though Belair vs. Sky is a fantastic match in its own right that could also deliver at The Show of Shows.

The drama has also ramped up following the return of Jade Cargill. Where will The EST stand with her two former tag team partners, and could this lead to a heel turn for Belair?

Loser: Nia Jax

Going into 2025, Nia Jax was on top of the world. After 150 days as WWE women's champion, she looked unstoppable.

However, just three days into the new year, Tiffany Stratton shattered her plans for WrestleMania season by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to take her title.

Since then, Jax has tried to stay in every title scene, but she has been pinned by both world champions in the first 60 days.

Her latest loss, in the women's Elimination Chamber match, will likely leave her out of the major stories at WrestleMania.

It is hard to see a path for Jax even in the women's tag team division since she and Candice LeRae lost so definitively to Stratton and Trish Stratus on Saturday.

Winners: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

Since the day Kevin Owens arrived in WWE in 2014, he and Sami Zayn have been connected. And KO ended TakeOver: R Evolution with a vicious attack on the newly crowned NXT champion.

That is underestimating the history between these two men though as they came up in the industry together. Their first match together was in 2004.

They are lifetime friends and enemies who have defined each other's careers, adding more intensity to every match.

Since they arrived in WWE, they have had many great contests, but their Unsanctioned match at Elimination Chamber is the peak of their rivalry.

In front of a packed arena in Toronto, they brutalized each other to an uncomfortable level, especially on a WWE stage. WWE fans do not see barbed-wire steel chairs often.

While Zayn was certainly set aside by the end for the sake of KO's renewed rivary with Randy Orton, it was still a crowning achievement for both men.

Owens has a strong heated rivalry for WrestleMania 41 on lock, and The Viper will need to find the gear to match Zayn's intensity.

Hopefully, Zayn will not be forgotten on the Road to WrestleMania as he remains one of WWE's best and proved it once again at Elimination Chamber.

Loser: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was a dark-horse candidate to win the men's Elimination Chamber going into the show.

He had history with Cody Rhodes that could have gone all the way to WrestleMania, and he is by far WWE's best talker in the modern era.

Instead, The Scottish Warrior was the first man eliminated, rolled up by Damian Priest after taunting John Cena for too long.

This likely sets the stage for McIntyre vs. Priest at 'Mania, which is not nearly the same level of match the Scot could have delivered at The Show of Shows.

Both are former world champions who have collided before in solid matches, but right now, The Punishment is not going to stand confidently next to names such as Cody Rhodes, CM Punk or Cena.

This was a tough reality moment for McIntyre, who will not have the spotlight he arguably deserves at WrestleMania 41.

Loser: CM Punk

CM Punk has said it time and again: His biggest goal in WWE is to main-event WrestleMania. It is his ultimate goal.

For his second year since returning to the company, though, The Best in the World will not headline The Show of Shows.

Punk was in the final two in the men's Elimination Chamber, but longtime adversary Seth Rollins got involved.

A Stomp by The Visionary set the stage for John Cena to lock in the STF on Punk and win the men's Chamber match.

All signs point to a Triple Threat at WrestleMania between Punk, Rollins and Roman Reigns.

It will be a special contest that could steal the show, but it will not be the main event or for a world championship. That is a step down for Punk's goals.

Winner: John Cena

John Cena's goals for his final year in WWE clearly focus on standing at the very top. After he fell just short in the men's Royal Rumble, he rebounded to win the men's Elimination Chamber.

The stage is now set for Cena to face Cody Rhodes and potentially claim a record-breaking 17th world championship.

While The GOAT did not get there as cleanly as expected, he still won. And even more importantly for the Road to WrestleMania, he turned heel in the aftermath.

When The American Nightmare refused to become The Rock's corporate champion, Cena brutalized the undisputed WWE champion at the behest of The Final Boss.

After all Cena's promises of doing things the right way, he instead showed he would do anything to get ahead.

The GOAT has certainly placed himself at the center of the Road to WrestleMania, and The Rock has his back seemingly all the way to the end of his retirement tour.
