Keep CM Punk in the Cena-Rock Drama, Iyo Sky Win Was the Wrong Call, More Raw Fallout
Keep CM Punk in the Cena-Rock Drama, Iyo Sky Win Was the Wrong Call, More Raw Fallout

The March 3 edition of WWE Raw on Netflix tried to keep up the momentum from a memorable Elimination Chamber.
Iyo Sky pulled off a shocking victory in the main event at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, defeating Rhea Ripley to capture the Women's World Championship.
CM Punk ran down John Cena and The Rock for showing their true colors at Elimination Chamber before his latest brawl with Seth Rollins.
Gunther defeated Otis and tried to hurt Akira Tozawa until Jey Uso made the save, but Grayson Waller and Austin Theory helped The Ring General beat down the World Heavyweight Championship hopeful.
Penta and Ludwig Kaiser continued their rivalry while expectations mount for the WrestleMania future of both wrestlers.
Many questions remained unanswered on the road to WrestleMania 41, but WWE made the vision clearer on Monday night.
Wrong Time for Iyo Sky to Capture Women's World Championship
Iyo Sky was not supposed to beat Rhea Ripley. She was simply the filler challenger ahead of Mami's much-anticipated collision with Bianca Belair at WrestleMania.
Yet The Genius of the Sky won all the same.
Sky will go into WrestleMania 41 as the women's world champion, the second year in a row she has walked into The Show of Shows as champion.
This would indicate that Sky will face Belair at 'Mania, but it looks more likely the title match will be a Triple Threat, featuring three of WWE's best.
While this will certainly be a great match, the company had set the scene perfectly for Ripley vs. Belair on a major stage for the first time.
It is rare to have a women's match this fresh and with this much potential. With Sky capturing the gold, that contest will not happen at WrestleMania 41.
Instead, it will likely happen on a B-level premium live event in the next year, perhaps delivered on television instead.
After all this time waiting, it makes no sense to move away from a money match such as Ripley vs. Belair.
Sky could have won the Women's World Championship after April 19-20.
CM Punk Must Stay Involved With The Rock-John Cena Drama
CM Punk continues to deliver the biggest promos in WWE, selling the stories that matter on the road to WrestleMania 41.
It is almost a shock at this point that The Best in the World is not on track to play a key role at The Show of Shows.
That may change soon, though, given how directly Punk called out John Cena and The Rock in his latest promo.
Even if the goal is for him to face Seth Rollins (and likely Roman Reigns as well) at 'Mania, he should stay involved in the central angle that will define this year.
Rock and Cena both have history with Punk, facing him in separate matches during the biggest run of his career. They also cost him two chances to main-event The Show of Shows.
This is history that Cody Rhodes cannot match with these men. The American Nightmare will also need allies who can stand next to him with confidence.
While Punk continues to deal with Rollins, he should also play the mentor role for Rhodes in the most crucial moment of his career.
This will make the road to WrestleMania more dynamic and make the most of Punk's talent during the most important time of the year for WWE.
Gunther vs. Jey Uso Needs to Level Up
Just over a decade ago, the World Heavyweight Championship was supposed to be a world title on par with the WWE Championship.
At every stage, though, it was clear which belt was the true world title despite them separately representing Raw and SmackDown.
This new run for the World Heavyweight Championship was supposed to restore honor to a title that Triple H especially made famous.
While Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship reign has run into the biggest angle in modern wrestling, Gunther and Jey Uso's feud for world heavyweight gold pales in comparison.
Each week, The Ring General finds a new opportunity to beat down Uso. The story is not advancing, and it was not featured at all at Elimination Chamber.
WWE needs to do something big to get this feud back on track. Neither Gunther nor Jey are going to cut promos like CM Punk, and The Rock isn't going to get involved to elevate the story.
The best option would be to get other well-known names involved. Bring in The Undertaker or Mick Foley to sell Uso as a rising star under the watchful eye of a legend.
The only other option would be to deliver a shocking moment that will have fans talking for weeks.
Have Gunther deliver a bloody beatdown on his rival until the crowd invades the ring to protect him. Bring in a celebrity who can take a big bump on behalf of Uso that will gain major headlines.
The options are limited, but WWE must deliver something to avoid this feud getting lost in the shuffle.
Penta Better Off as a Singles Competitor Right Now Amid Rey Fenix Rumors
Penta continues to build his legacy, trying to elevate Ludwig Kaiser and himself on the road to WrestleMania. That plan may change significantly soon.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has confirmed that Rey Fenix is officially a free agent and will join WWE imminently. He is likely to join his brother, Penta, on Raw.
Since WWE did not know when All Elite Wrestling would release Fenix, Penta's early run with the company has focused on only him. Fenix arriving complicates that story.
The Lucha Brothers together could be the best option in the long term, but that is only after Penta has solidified his name in WWE.
The 40-year-old has found a niche with his charisma and flashy style while delivering in the ring with unique rivals. However, his younger brother may overshadow him.
Fenix is a highlight-reel performer who will likely deliver spots in WWE that fans have never seen. Penta cannot keep up with his speed.
WWE has never done a great job selling luchadors as major performers on their own merit. They are often paired together.
Tag teams simply do not have the same ceiling as solo acts, and Penta (and Fenix) have massive ceilings with the right build. But they must remain singles stars first to reach it.
