Big Ten Tournament 2025: Men's Bracketology, Schedule, Dates, Live Stream and Picks

The Michigan State Spartans finished the Big Ten regular season three games better than any of their competition.
Tom Izzo's team now heads to Indianapolis to attempt to double up on titles at the 2025 Big Ten tournament.
Top seeds have typically fared well at the event, which this year features only 15 of the league's 18 teams. A top-two seed has won four of the last five Big Ten tournaments.
That trend is a good sign for Michigan State and the second-seeded Maryland Terrapins. The two teams were part of a group of six programs that won at least 13 games in the Big Ten regular season.
Before the top teams hit the court on Friday, a few major games affecting the NCAA tournament bubble will take place.
The Indiana Hoosiers and Ohio State Buckeyes will be under the brightest bubble spotlight in Indianapolis.

Michigan State Leads List of Title Contenders

Michigan State finished with a three-game advantage over Maryland and Michigan in the Big Ten regular season standings.
The Spartans completed their impressive run through Big Ten play with a double-digit win over the Wolverines on Sunday.
Michigan State's only slip-ups came on the California road trip at the start of February and at home against a desperate Indiana team on February 11.
Since then, the Spartans held six of their seven opponents under 66 points and earned six of seven victories by nine or more points.
Tom Izzo's team faces a tough path to the final since it will play either a bubble team in Indiana or Oregon in the quarterfinal and then UCLA in the semifinal. UCLA beat Michigan State on February 4.
Life in the bottom half of the bracket isn't easy either, though, as Maryland, Michigan, Purdue and Illinois will fight it out for a spot in the final.
Michigan lost four of its last six games, so it might be the most vulnerable of the top seeds.
Big Ten tournament history tells us any combination of the top six seeds should make the final. Only three teams seeded beneath No. 6 advanced to the championship game since 2008.
Indiana's NCAA Tournament Quest Continues on Thursday

Indiana is the most notable team on the NCAA tournament bubble.
The Hoosiers went 5-2 in their last seven games to be in the conversation for the field of 68. All of this happened after head coach Mike Woodson announced he would not return next season.
Indiana can play its way into the Big Dance with a second-round win over Oregon on Thursday and a quarterfinal triumph over Michigan State on Friday.
Getting to the quarterfinal round is vital for the Hoosiers because they would have a chance to down the Big Ten's top team. A chance to land that type of quality win does not appear for all bubble teams.
Indiana is currently on the right side of the bubble, per ESPN's Joe Lunardi, but if it loses to Oregon, it could be a perilous spot, especially if bid stealers emerge in other conferences.
Ohio State is the other bubble team to watch in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes are trending downward, though, as they finished 2-4. The Buckeyes probably have to beat Maryland in the quarterfinals to feel 100 percent safe.
Prediction

Michigan State over Maryland
Michigan State and Maryland are the two best teams in the Big Ten.
The top two seeds haven't faced each other in the Big Ten tournament final since 2007, but it's easier to predict that both teams will make the championship game due to the flaws of other top teams.
The Spartans and Terrapins have been the most consistent teams in the league as well.
A championship game between the two sides would be a rematch of one of the best regular-season games that ended with a Spartans buzzer-beater in College Park on February 26.
