Women's March Madness 2025 Odds, Picks for Paige Bueckers, UConn vs. USC and Elite 8

The USC Trojans' loss of JuJu Watkins will really be felt in the Elite Eight matchup on Monday against Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies.

UConn is a 13.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook for the Regional 4 final in Spokane.

USC made it through its first full game without Watkins in the Sweet 16, but UConn poses a far more tougher threat than the Kansas State Wildcats.

UConn won all three of its NCAA women's basketball tournament games by 23 or more points.

Monday's first Elite Eight matchup is expected to be closer. The Texas Longhorns are a 7.5-point favorite against Hailey Van Lith and the TCU Horned Frogs.

No. 2 UConn (-13.5) vs. No. 1 USC

NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament - Sweet Sixteen - Spokane

UConn put together three dominant performances in a row to reach the Elite Eight.

Paige Bueckers scored 74 points over the last two rounds. She scored 40 points in the Sweet 16, while the Oklahoma Sooners as a team put up 59 points.

Even if Bueckers only scores around 25-30 points, UConn's depth can take it past USC.

The Huskies had four players reach double figures against Oklahoma. They are able to counter whatever USC throws at them.

The Trojans are capable of throwing together a well-rounded scoring effort, but to beat UConn, they need Kiki Iriafen to be the star.

Iriafen had seven points and eight rebounds in the Sweet 16. The Stanford transfer had 36 points and nine rebounds in the second round, the stage where Watkins suffered her season-ending injury.

With Watkins on the floor, USC would be on a closer level to UConn, but the lack of superstar power for the Trojans should shift the game in the Huskies' favor.

No. 2 TCU (+7.5) vs. No. 1 Texas

NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament - Sweet Sixteen - Birmingham

It's difficult to bet against Hailey Van Lith in the NCAA tournament.

The TCU guard powered the Horned Frogs to a Sweet 16 victory as an underdog with 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Van Lith has nine 20-point performances in the NCAA tournament between Louisville, LSU and TCU.

Texas is coming off a tough contest with the Tennessee Volunteers, so there is a chance TCU can hang around with Van Lith at her best, just like the Vols did two days ago.

The Longhorns run through Madison Booker, who has 57 points in three rounds, but they only have two players who average over 10 points per game.

Texas can withstand the challenge posed by Van Lith, but it's hard to imagine that TCU won't keep the game close if the star guard scores at a similar level as the Sweet 16.
