The Ultimate Paul Heyman Twist, Jey Uso's Greatest Promo, More WWE Raw Takes

Seth Rollins threatened Paul Heyman, hoping to entice a favor from The Advocate before WrestleMania.
Seth Rollins threatened Paul Heyman, hoping to entice a favor from The Advocate before WrestleMania.

WWE delivered some important build for WrestleMania 41 on the April 7 edition of Raw on Netflix at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Seth Rollins took out CM Punk and then threatened Paul Heyman but stopped just short of a Stomp, leaving The Advocate with a simple warning: "Now, you owe me a favor."

Jey Uso delivered an intense warning to Gunther, promising to make The Ring General pay for what he did to his brother, Jimmy, last week.

Rhea Ripley finally signed the contract to add herself to the Women's World Championship match with Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair.

Lyra Valkyria narrowly retained her Women's Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and received the respect of The Role Model.

Bron Breakker found out his match for WrestleMania, facing Penta, Finn Bálor and Dominik Mysterio. Before that contest, though, Penta defeated Mysterio one-on-one, and Bálor stood tall over the intercontinental champion after a sneak attack.

This was an important night on the road to WrestleMania 41, adding more heat and complications for The Show of Shows.

Paul Heyman Aligning with Seth Rollins Would Be Greatest Moment of WM41

On the last SmackDown, CM Punk revealed Paul Heyman will stand in his corner instead of Roman Reigns.

This twist left Seth Rollins as the odd man out in the story; the one man with no relationship with The Advocate.

On Monday's Raw, though, he may have set the stage for his role when it comes to Heyman. His warning about his own favor owed sets up an interesting dynamic.

What could Rollins want out of Heyman? How does The Wise Man see The Visionary at this stage of his career?

While it's most likely Heyman will ultimately side with Punk or Reigns, the idea of him turning on both to join up with Rollins is far more intriguing.

Rollins and Heyman is the freshest angle for all involved. It leaves both Reigns and Punk more desperate without help while giving The Visionary a foothold to rise up the ranks.

Rollins has sold how much of a threat he feels Punk is to WWE. Making Heyman see that vision would push the company in an exciting new direction.

Jey Uso Delivers Career-Best Promo When He Needed It Most

The last two weeks have put Jey Uso back on track, selling why his relationship with his brother, Jimmy, is so central to him as a person and character.

Gunther destroyed Jimmy to hurt Jey, but it has motivated Main Event to bring an intense fight to The Ring General.

While the hook of Jey finally winning the World Heavyweight Championship worked at first, he had not shown he was stepping up to a main event level.

His promo this week was the most he has sounded like a top guy and showed why fans should believe in him.

This 'Mania build hasn't completely worked, but Jey is stepping up at the right time. The final test is delivering on The Grandest Stage of Them All come April 19-20.

WWE Must Push Bron Breakker Big After WrestleMania

Bron Breakker's rise over his first year on the main roster has been rocky, but his Intercontinental Championship reign has allowed him a solid weekly spotlight.

With his 'Mania match set, it feels like the end of the road for his title reign is imminent. It is likely either Dominik Mysterio or Penta leave Las Vegas with the gold.

This should not hurt Breakker as long as WWE is ready to push him big, which should be the goal.

His Spear this week will be the viral moment of Raw and stands among the absolute best in wrestling history.

His athleticism and pure speed is unmatched in WWE, and he can cut a solid promo on anyone. At 27 years old, the time is now to test how far Breakker can reach.

All signs point to a main event act for the next decade.

WrestleMania 41 Shaping Up to Be a Letdown

WrestleMania 41 is likely to deliver a 14-match card over two nights. The roster can deliver that many contests for the night, but the difference between the top of the card and the rest is noticeable.

Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena and CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins are the priority matches. Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley is the only other strongly built contest on the card for Allegiant Stadium.

The undercard is less impressive. Naomi vs. Jade Cargill is heated, but it will require both women to elevate their in-ring game to deliver a great 'Mania match.

LA Knight and Bron Breakker have solid challengers, but they are bouts that could have easily happened on TV rather than a premium live event.

AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano are not matches fans are clamoring to see on any stage at this point.

There are still too many matches left unannounced on the 'Mania card, but nothing else building on Raw or SmackDown feels important enough for The Show of Shows.

WWE has shown a consistent ability to deliver strong five-match cards, and 'Mania is shaping to deliver up to five great matches out of 14.

That is a bad hit rate for The Show of Shows, especially after the last two WrestleManias delivered so many great clashes across the two nights.
