WWE Raw Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights After WrestleMania 41

WrestleMania 41

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the post-WrestleMania episode of WWE Raw on April 21.

The landscape of WWE looks very different following the events of the weekend. Several titles changed hands, including the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships.

John Cena and Jey Uso are the new top dogs in the men's division, while Iyo Sky and Tiffany Stratton managed to hang onto their belts at 'Mania.

We also saw Paul Heyman betray Roman Reigns and CM Punk to help Seth Rollins claim victory in a move that was equal parts shocking and predictable.

Let's take a look at how WWE addressed the fallout from WrestleMania on Monday's show.

The 17-time Champ Is Here

Raw opened with a video package recapping everything that happened at WrestleMania before Cena came to the ring with the title on backwards.

Cena gave the ring announcer a note with a new introduction for him that was more to his liking. He said the crowd is not worthy because they booed him on Friday, so he is not going to just forgive them for cheering him when he has gold.

The crowd actually chanted "We are sorry" and Cena called the crowd sorry lowlifes. He said the crowd means nothing to him, so it changed "A--hole" at him.

As Cena was preparing to finish up his speech, Randy Orton appeared behind him and hit an RKO out of nowhere, much to the crowd's delight.

This was a solid promo and it was exactly what Cena needed to do after winning the title. He solidified his position as a heel and set up his next feud in the process. Orton is a logical challenger due to their long history as rivals, so this should be fun.

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

—Let's hope we can go at least a few weeks without having to hear that Travis Scott song now that 'Mania is over.
—Cena calling himself an anus is going to be a meme before the show is over.
—The crowd gave Cena a lot and played along with everything. The fans helped make this segment work.

Valkyria and Lynch vs. Rodriguez and Morgan

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez had a chance to win back the tag titles they lost on Sunday when they faced Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch in a rematch. Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley were in the crowd to see who they would face for the titles Tuesday on NXT.

Becky and Liv began the action for their teams, but it didn't take long before Lyra tagged in and took over. They had the upper hand as the show cut to a break.

We returned to see Rodriguez dominating Valkyria, but the women's IC champ began to rally. She made a hot tag to The Man as they began to build some momentum.

The intensity picked up in the second half, and they did a good job making this feel completely different from their match at 'Mania. Morgan ended up hitting her finisher on Lyra after Becky was taken out at ringside. Liv got the pin to regain the tag titles as The Man looked on shocked.

A one-day title reign is never ideal, but the end of this told us why it was booked that way. Lynch attacked Lyra and blamed her for the loss before storming off, so it looks like Becky will be chasing the women's IC title soon.

Result: Rodriguez and Morgan defeated Lynch and Valkyria

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

—The ring announcer seemed to be having some issues before this match. He began the intro for Morgan and Rodriguez three times.
—It's interesting to note that Lyra came out during Lynch's music instead of having her own entrance.
—It's great to see Becky looking like she has no ring rust whatsoever after a year away from the ring.
—The powerbomb Raquel hit on Lyra was great.

It's a New Day and a Rusev Day

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came out to celebrate winning their tag titles at WrestleMania from Erik and Ivar. Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri came out to interrupt after a couple of minutes.

They were about to have a match for the tag titles after some back and forth talk, but then Rusev made a surprising return to WWE.

New Day bailed while Tozawa and Otis were left to take a beating from The Bulgarian Brute. The crowd chanted "Rusev Day" as he made Otis pass out.

This was a weird way to bring Rusev back while teasing a tag title bout, but the crowd loved it and he looked like a beast, so it accomplished its goal.

Grade: B-

Notable Moments and Observations

—Karrion Kross giving The New Day a nod of approval backstage was funny.
—Rusev had new music. It wasn't quite as memorable as his old song but it wasn't bad.

Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Iyo Sky came out and celebrated her big win at WrestleMania. She said it was the best night of her career because she proved she is the best. Stephanie Vaquer made a surprising appearance and Sky had a big smile on her face.

Vaquer said she respects Sky, but she wants to face the best, and that means she wants to face Iyo. Adam Pearce came out and made it official.

They started with some simple takedowns and counters as they tried to gain control, but neither woman seemed to be in a rush to incorporate strikes until Sky hit a dropkick to send the NXT champ out of the ring for a suicide dive.

The second half was much more physical and saw both women pull off some big moves. The crowd was into everything and gave both Superstars a lot of love.

This was a great match that showed how two talented wrestlers who haven't worked together much can put on a great impromptu performance. Sadly, Roxanne Perez caused a disqualification to end the match abruptly.

Giulia showed up and attacked Vaquer after Perez took out Sky. Rhea Ripley ran to the ring and took out Perez before having a standoff with Giulia that ended with the NXT star backing down.

Result: No Contest

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

—Sky's little "Thank you" after the crowd chanted that she deserved to win was funny.
—The crowd gave Vaquer a great response. She could go to the main roster and would be welcomed right away by the look of it.
—The dragon screw Vaquer used in the corner looked brutal.
—The last time these two fought in a match that wasn't a Royal Rumble was in Mexico in 2012.

Jey Uso Is Your Champion

Jey Uso came out to a raucous response after WWE aired a video package hyping his win at WrestleMania. Uso had the truck play his music again when he was in the ring just so he could Yeet with the crowd one more time.

After Jey spoke for a little while about what winning the title means to him, Sami Zayn joined him in the ring and gave him a hug. Zayn said Uso deserves to be the champion after everything he has done, and the crowd agreed. Jimmy came out to join the celebration at the end.

It was almost surprising that this ended without anyone else interrupting or trying to claim the first title shot against Jey, but that was the best way to do it. This moment deserved to stand on its own.

Notable Moments and Observations

—The video package for Jey was awesome.
—Someone in the crowd had a "Hogan Fears Unions" sign.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta

We returned from a break to see Gunther yelling at Michael Cole. He shoved Pat McAfee and then grabbed Cole in a choke. McAfee fired off a shot to break it up before a bunch of officials came down. Gunther grabbed McAfee and choked him out.

The Ring General was escorted away eventually. McAfee was taken to the back to recover as the show went to another break. Cole went back to the announce desk while Joe Tessitore joined him to fill in for the main event.

Dominik Mysterio defended his newly won IC title against Penta in the final match of the night. Finn Balor and Carlito accompanied Dirty Dom to the ring.

We went to a break with Penta being sent out of the ring. It looked like Balor might attack him until the ref spotted him and he had to back off.

Penta hit a hurricanrana to Balor that sent him into Dom at ringside, but as Penta was about to hit a big move, JD McDonagh appeared and knocked him off the top rope. This allowed Dom to hit a Frog Splash to get the win.

All things considered, this match was about as down-the-middle as it gets. Nothing they did looked bad, but the ending was the only notable thing that happened.

Result: Mysterio defeated Penta

Grade: C

Notable Moments and Observations

—Kross and AJ Styles had a confrontation backstage. It looks like they will finally have a match soon.
—It will be interesting to see how long it takes WWE to let Penta and Rey Fenix be a tag team again. The company has made no attempt to hide their partnership, so it shouldn't be too long before they are chasing the tag titles.
—It's kind of funny how similar Dom and Penta's gear is. They don't look exactly the same, but a lot of design elements are shared.
—The ref pulled his hand in to stop a three-count before Penta actually kicked out.

The Final Word

The final segment featured Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman coming to the ring to discuss what happened at WrestleMania. Before Rollins could say much, Punk's music hit and he came out looking for a fight.

Punk beat down Rollins in the corner and then turned his attention to Heyman. The Visionary took him down and Heyman said Rollins is now the top star in the entire industry. Reigns' music hit and he came out looking just as angry as Punk was.

The OTC nailed Rollins with a Spear and then knocked Heyman down with a Superman Punch. He lined up for a Spear, but he ended up getting Speared by Bron Breakker out of nowhere. Breakker hit Punk with one when he tried to get into the ring, too.

Rollins hugged Breakker to reveal what appears to be a new partnership. The former IC champion ran around the ring and hit Reigns with another Spear to put him through the barricade.

The Raw after Mania ended with Rollins and Breakker standing tall over Punk and Reigns.

The Raw after ‘Mania did a lot of recapping, which is always expected after the biggest PPV of the year, but it felt a little too light on the in-ring action.

The best match we got Monday night was Vaquer vs. Sky, but it ended in controversy, so we will have to wait for them to run it back at some point in the future to find a definitive winner.

The women’s tag titles changing hands and Lynch’s subsequent heel turn felt rushed, but it also felt like it will be better for everyone long term because it sets up an interesting feud for the IC title.

Rusev’s return felt somewhat random, but having him back in the fold is going to be interesting moving forward. This is a very different WWE than the company he left, so he will have to adapt.

As a whole, this was a pretty standard episode of Raw. We could have used a little more action, but the show set up a couple of interesting storylines heading into Backlash. The final segment was great, so it helped end the show on a high note.
