Buying or Selling Latest WWE Rumors After WrestleMania 41
Buying or Selling Latest WWE Rumors After WrestleMania 41

On the heels of the biggest show in professional wrestling, WrestleMania 41, the WWE rumor mill is working overtime, with reports emerging about previous plans for that spectacular and the events that unfolded around it.
Which ones are worthy of buying and which should fans sell?
Find out with this collection of them, from industry insiders.
Sell: Becky Lynch's WrestleMania Pitch

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that everything surrounding Becky Lynch’s return was pitched by The Man herself. That includes the WrestleMania comeback, the tag team title victory, the subsequent championship loss, and the heel turn on Lyra Valkyria Monday night on Raw.
The “sell” is not for the Alvarez report but, rather, Lynch’s utilization of the tag titles to set up the heel turn.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez had just regained the Women’s Tag Team Championship on February 24 when they abruptly dropped them to the returning Lynch and Valkyria, another thrown-together tag team in a way-too-long list of them, at WrestleMania.
If that hot-shotting of the titles was not enough, losing them back to Morgan and Rodriguez 24 hours later sure was. Other than padding one’s resume or attempting to create a buzz-worthy moment on the grand stage, why risk devaluing the titles with back-to-back changes over two nights? Especially when Monday’s angle could have played out Sunday and provided an equally buzz-worthy moment without risking the legitimacy of tag titles that the company is still trying to rebuild.
Lynch turning heel on WrestleMania Sunday, one night after her husband, Seth Rollins, aligned himself with Paul Heyman to close out Saturday’s show would have made for a one-two punch the couple on the lips of fans worldwide.
While the Raw turn was effective, it felt unnecessary, just like the swapping of the championship.
Buy: Randy Orton Believes In Joe Hendry

The unfortunate neck injury that sidelined Kevin Owens left Randy Orton without an opponent for the biggest night in wrestling. The Viper responded by issuing an open challenge, to which TNA world champion Joe Hendry responded, the recipient of an enormous reaction from fans in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
Bodyslam.net’s Cory Hays reported that Hendry was the future Hall of Famer’s pick as Orton is a fan of his work.
That is a testament to everything Hendry has done to make himself a legitimate star across social media, with his home promotion TNA, and in his limited appearances on WWE television.
He is a pop culture phenomenon, with non-fans including his likeness and/or theme music in Tik Tok videos and Instagram reels. It increased his exposure, opened the eyes of legitimate stars the likes of Orton, and created awareness of his character and in-ring work.
That led to a dream scenario of a WrestleMania appearance, despite serving as another company’s world champion, and an unforgettable moment sharing the ring with The Apex Predator.
Though he lost in short order, Hendry and TNA are better off for it.
Good on Orton for recognizing hard work, dedication, and determination and rewarding it by hand-picking one of the today's most popular and beloved performers.
Buy: WrestleMania Card Changes

Sean Ross Sapp detailed for Fightful Select some of the WrestleMania 41 card changes that occurred dating back to December of 2024. He and WrestlePurists’ Ibou had previously discussed the planned card at that time.
One such match would have seen The Wyatt Sicks battle The Judgment Day. “Wyatt Sicks vs. Judgment Day was a direction Fightful had heard was a possibility and had mentioned on the WWE Raw post show. We have since been told that Bo Dallas being sidelined caused a lot of issues regarding that, but many of the talent hadn’t been broached about that match.”
Another such contest was Jade Cargill challenging Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship, which was ultimately changed due to an untimely injury. “Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax was also a match that had been discussed internally, and had made its way to a number in the company. However, during the period that Cargill was sidelined with an injury, the decision had been made for Naomi.”
Both reported were substantiated in the new trailer for WWE: Unreal on Netflix, a reality show that takes fans behind the curtain for a look at the creative process, when a picture of the whiteboard with prospective matches was shown.
Let’s get deep in the weeds here.

On the trailer for WWE UNREAL, there’s a white board in the writers room. The text is color coordinated, and typically in a wrestling writing room, the color distinctions are based on what’s concrete/advertised/needs to be said verbatim vs what… pic.twitter.com/hsdI12G3Lb
That the evidence is right there, on camera, in a WWE-produced show not only validates the report but also makes this an easy “buy.”
