Way-Too-Early Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 42 Match Card

With WrestleMania 41 done, it is only appropriate for fans to ask "What's next?"

That includes for next year's Showcase of the Immortals at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Who will compete for the top prizes in the industry, which grudge matches will unfold, and who will be represented on the card?

Let's take a look with this entirely too early predictions for that enormous lineup.

* World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins

* Women's World Championship: Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky

* WWE Women's Championship: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Charlotte Flair

* United States Championship: Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa

* Intercontinental Championship: Sheamus vs. Bron Breakker

* WWE Tag Team Championship: Motor City Machine Guns vs. Lucha Bros

* Jey Uso vs. Sami Zayn

* Rusev vs. Gunther

* Drew McIntyre vs. Logan Paul

* Jade Cargill vs. Bianca Belair

* Aleister Black, Damien Priest, and Finn Balor vs. The Judgment Day

Reigns and Rollins have, arguably, the deepest and most layered story in WWE.

They arrived as teammates in The Shield, but the revolutionary group came crashing down when the latter betrayed Reigns and Dean Ambrose struck out on his own in 2014.

They reunited in 2019 after Reigns had been treated for leukemia, but it would be short-lived as Ambrose left WWE and joined All Elite Wrestling while The Big Dog underwent a makeover that saw him leave behind all semblance of The Shield and assume the mantle of The Tribal Chief.

At the 2022 Royal Rumble, Rollins got the otherwise calm and collected Reigns to lose his cool and get himself disqualified after using a steel chair.

Two years later, The Architect proved to be the only man uniquely qualified to be Cody Rhodes' shield when Reigns again lost his focus and wrapped a steel chair around Rollins' body, allowing The American Nightmare to capitalize on the distraction and win the undisputed WWE title.

At WrestleMania 41, Rollins took things one step forward, stealing away Reigns' "Wise Man" Paul Heyman and embarking on a run that should see the Hall of Famer guide The Visionary to new heights in WWE.

We have already seen Rollins and new associate Bron Breakker wear out Reigns 24 hours after The Show of Shows and more should be expected over the next 12 months, with The Tribal Chief sticking around just enough to be a pain in Rollins' side. By WrestleMania 42, they will finally bring their years-long beef to a head on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

WWE can throw in the World Heavyweight Championship for good measure, a title Reigns has yet to hold.

Rhea Ripley has accomplished countless achievements during her still young career, including competing for championships in six consecutive WrestleManias.

What she has not done, though, is defeat Iyo Sky.

The Eradicator has not been able to put The Genius of the Sky down for the count in any of their contests, including this year's show-stealing Triple Threat for the Women's World Championship.

What better way to settle their issues than on the grand stage, where Ripley can finally overcome Sky and win another title on wrestling's most prestigious card?

If they can match the quality of their classic from this year, which also involved Bianca Belair, fans could be in for something truly special.

Something that provides finality to that story thread and lets Ripley secure another high-profile victory on wrestling's biggest night.
