Applebee's workers celebrate the tip they received from Tampa Bay defensive lineman Sealver Siliga.

It wasn't a great day for Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Sealver Siliga and his teammates when they dropped their Week 16 game to the Carolina Panthers on Christmas Eve.

When the team returned home from Charlotte, North Carolina, Siliga and some friends dined at a Tampa-area Applebee's. After he finished his postgame meal, Siliga asked the manager how many employees were working the late shift on Christmas Eve.

He was told 10 were on the clock, and he gave the manager $1,000 to be split evenly among the workers, per Jenna Laine of ESPN.com.

Siliga showed Christmas spirit to those Applebee's employees even though his team endured another loss.

Sculptor Makes Cristiano Ronaldo Bust That Actually Looks Like Him

Nov 26, 2017

Earlier this year, the internet went wild over a bust of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo that looked nothing like him.

Spanish sculptor Jose Antonio Navarro Arteaga made sure history didn't repeat itself.

Tasked with creating a bust of Ronaldo for Real Madrid's museum, according to Gerard Couzens of the Mirror, Arteaga ensured his sculpture actually resembled the world-class football superstar. In fact, some critics believe the bust makes Ronaldo "look more handsome than he is," per Couzens.

That's far better than the alternative.

'Football, Texas,' Ep. 1: High School Football Taken Way Too Seriously

In Football, Texas, throwing around the pigskin isn't just a game.

When All-American quarterback Conor Layne goes down with two broken legs, his teammates hang their heads in grave concern.

However, there's still a football game to win with two minutes left in regulation. Layne's parents root for him to overcome the injury, but the high school signal-caller can't rise to his feet.

Fortunately, Coach Walker comes up with a genius idea and puts on a uniform to represent his school. Then, a defender crushes him after the snap. Nonetheless, his dedication to the game knows no boundaries—or maybe he takes the sport way too seriously.

Fighter Sells Low Blow with Ric Flair Faceplant

We all tend to take for granted that the UFC makes MMA a bit more serious than it is at its core. With the stars and titles and big pay-per-views, you'd almost forget what the game is in actuality.

It's a carnival sport, a more real cousin of professional wrestling where scripted outcomes are missing but loudmouths who are willing to live their gimmick have increasingly gotten ahead. To that end, Vince McMahon and his band of merry entertainers could surely relate to it.

If you don't agree, consider Exhibit A: a classic Ric Flair faceplant following a low blow in a recent Indonesian MMA bout, held by One Pride MMA.

Following a relatively low-impact lead leg kick that struck the groin area, the fighter throwing the kick stops. He knows he's in the wrong, and though he's willing to continue the fight, he halts and considers the situation.

If there's more fight to be had, he'll have it, but in the name of sportsmanship, he leaves the next move to his counterpart in the red corner.

That move?

Comically grab his cup, adjust it a few times, take a single step and faceplant hard on the mat. Flair himself—the subject of the most recent 30 for 30 and suddenly resurgent popular culture icon as a result—couldn't have done it better.

The referee steps in, presumably to give our Flair Lite the five minutes he needs to recover, and the clip is over. We don't know what happened in the immediate aftermath, but what we have is easily one of the more memorable reactions to a low blow in recent MMA history.

Thank the heavens for this wonderful, bizarre sport.

Steph Curry Gets into Halloween Spirit Prior to Dubs' Game vs. Pistons

The 82-game NBA season can be a grind, even for the NBA champion Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry is determined to have some fun along the way.

With Halloween just two days away, Curry got into the spirit Sunday by arriving to Oracle Arena in a Saw-inspired costume ahead of the Warriors' game against the Detroit Pistons.

While Curry gets credit for creativity, we have to question his mode of transportation. C'mon, Steph!

JuJu Smith-Schuster Celebrates TD vs. Bengals with Hide-and-Seek

Oct 22, 2017

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals are known for nastiness and hard hitting whenever they get together in the AFC North.

Their Week 7 matchup could turn out to be that kind of game, but it has started with a decidedly playful tone. After the Steelers took a 14-7 second-quarter lead on a Ben Roethlisberger 31-yard touchdown pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster, the rookie from USC had a rather unique celebration that involved running back Le'Veon Bell.

As Smith-Schuster pantomimed covering his eyes and counting to five, Bell hid behind the goalpost. Smith-Schuster finished his count and found his target in a game of hide-and-seek.

End zones, teammates...Smith-Schuster is sure good at finding his targets on Sunday.

Von Miller: The Man Who Brought Yeezys to NFL

Oct 15, 2017

On Sunday, we get to watch one of the NFL's best teams play an offseason Super Bowl favorite-turned-possibly the worst team in the league. The Denver Broncos (3-1) are taking on the New York Giants (0-5), and on the field, things may get ugly in a hurry.

Except, maybe, the footwear.

Two players immediately come to mind when you think about the Broncos and Giants: Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. With Odell out for the rest of the season with a fractured ankle, Miller will be the highest-profile player (and fashion icon) in this game.

Miller, the MVP of Super Bowl 50, isn't just a champion but has also been selected to five Pro Bowls in his seven years in the NFL. He's already stamped himself as one of the best defensive players in the NFL with  77.5 career sacks.

But Miller isn't just a superstar athlete. He's been featured in GQ multiple times for his unique sense of style and is often considered one of the most fashionable NFL players. And a pair of cleats Miller wore last year made him a hypebeast Hall of Famer.

The Broncos linebacker debuted the Adidas Yeezy 750 cleats in the NFL's opening night game against the Carolina Panthers in 2016. The all-white cleats were crafted to look exactly like Yeezy Boost 750s without the Boost midsole and a hard plastic cleat outsole. The kicks easily stole the show that night as the Broncos fought their way to a tough one-point victory.

The Yeezy cleats were just the beginning of a wave of different colorways and silhouettes from Adidas and Yeezy last season. But the stylish Miller was the first to wear them. Respect.

Football Fans Bring Creative Signs for Week 2 College GameDay

Sep 9, 2017

Fanmade signs are pretty much a cornerstone of ESPN's College GameDay, and Week 2 of the 2017 college football season had some stand out Saturday in Columbus, Ohio, when it came to creative support and jeering through signage.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield—whose No. 5 Sooners take on No. 2 Ohio State at 7:30 ET tonight at Ohio Stadium—couldn't seem to catch a break regarding his run-in with the law earlier this year:

Some fans went the traditional teasing route:

One fan couldn't help poking fun at reigning NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant:

Another took a shot at former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow, who signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets in September 2016:

One person referenced pop culture to let everyone know just how scary OSU's defense is:

John Cena and Shaquille O'Neal Talk Nicknames on 'Carpool Karaoke'

Sep 6, 2017

John Cena and Shaquille O'Neal are taking their turns on the popular singalong series Carpool Karaoke.

In a clip from their episode of the Apple Music series, the wrestling phenom and the NBA legend are seen discussing possible nicknames and making puns with each other's monikers.

While they aren't shown singing along to any music, one of Shaq's rap singles can be heard playing through the car speakers.

At the end of the snippet, Shaq challenges Cena to a free-throw faceoff in which the loser has to do "something embarrassing."

The full clip is available on Apple Music.

Lonzo Ball can now add professional acting credits to his list of accolades.

The rookie Laker will appear alongside the Tanners on the upcoming season of Netflix sitcom Fuller House, a popular spinoff of 90s classic Full House.

Ball's first acting gig should prove to be a rather easy one, as Entertainment Weekly reports the player will be portraying himself in one episode. He appears at the Tanner-Fuller residence looking to recruit a household member to his new organization.

Ball is no stranger to cameras, as he's already the subject of an online reality show, Ball In The Family, alongside his brothers and father LaVar Ball.
