Today the Pro Day tour takes us to the University of Cincinnati.

Two combine participants, Derek Wolfe and Isaiah Pead, stood on their combine numbers and only did measurements and positional drills. Although we didn't learn more about their measurables, we did gain a possible clue into the draft destination of one of the players. CBS Sportsline reporter Paul Dehner Jr. reported that "Cincinnati Bengals RB coach Jim Anderson and Special teams coach Darrin Simmons spent a lot of time talking with Isaiah Pead today." This, after head coach Marvin Lewis indicated that the team planned on spending more time with Pead after the combine. Pead wouldn't fill the team's need for a lead back, but he could a strong contributor in the running game and on passing downs. SI.com's Tony Pauline reports that Wolfe "...looked good in drills. He was fluid moving around the field and looked powerful during bag drills."

Two non-combine invites also caught scouts' attention in Cincinnati. Scout.com's Aaron Wilson reported that WR D.J. Woods ran a 4.4 40-time, recorded a 37 inch vertical and a 10'4" broad jump, all signs of explosiveness. Wilson added that a league source told him scouts were also impressed with Woods' hands and route running.

Athletically, the star of the day was TE Adrien Robinson. The University of Cincinnati football program official website has the numbers: 

Robinson created the most buzz on the day, starting with his 39.5 inch vertical jump and his leap of 11-3 in the broad jump. He followed that up with 40-yard dash times of 4.51 and 4.58 unofficially, not bad for someone who measured in at 6-4 and 264 pounds. The tight end from Indianapolis, Ind. clocked 4.37 in the 20-yard shuttle, 11.59 in the 60-yard shuttle and 7.11 in the 3-cone drill.

Robinson should at least generate some interest as a priority free agent after the draft with that athletic profile, which would have been one of the two or three most impressive among TEs at the combine.
