Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl Halftime Show 2025 Odds and Betting Games

Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar

Super Bowl LIX will, first and foremost, be a game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs to determine this year's NFL champion. However, the Super Bowl has become as much of a global entertainment event as it is a contest, and things will be no different this year in New Orleans.

Plenty of fans will tune in to see if Patrick Mahomes can win his fourth Lombardi Trophy before the age of 30 or if Saquon Barkley can break Terrell Davis' record for the most rushing yards in a season (regular season and playoffs). Others, however, will watch for the commercials, the celebrity cameos and, of course, the music performances.

The NFL has assembled a star-studded lineup for this year's event. The pre-game ceremonies will feature a lineup of artists from New Orleans—Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will perform "America the Beautiful," Ledisi will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," while singer-songwriter Jon Batiste will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner."

The halftime show will be headlined by hip-hop superstar and Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar.

Of course, this won't mark the first time Lamar will perform at the Super Bowl. He was part of the all-star lineup that performed at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.

This will, however, be Lamar's first time as a headliner, and it couldn't come at a higher point in the 37-year-old's career. At the Grammy Awards this past Sunday, Lamar took home awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video for his 2024 hit "Not Like Us."

Fans can almost certainly expect to hear the song during the halftime show, and they can expect at least one guest performance—SZA is scheduled to appear. As for what else may transpire during Lamar's performance, fans are welcome to make wagers.

Several halftime-show props are available, according to FanDuel, including:

First Song to Be Performed

This one's tricky because Lamar has an extensive catalog (odds for more than 30 songs are available) and rarely follows the most traditional routes. There's certainly no guarantee that he'll kick things off with one of his bigger hits, and he'll likely save his latest smash for the end of the show.

However, he is likely to begin with a solo performance before incorporating any guest artists, so "All the Stars" is an unlikely choice. "m.A.A.d. city" and "Alright" could also be off the table since he performed those at Super Bowl LVI.

"Humble" and "Squabble Up" feel like strong picks for the opener, even if both are among the favorites. "TV Off" (+750) isn't among the top favorites but is a strong pick based on the odds.

First Song Favorites

  • Humble +160 (bet $100 to win $160)
  • Not Like Us +380
  • King Kunta +430
  • Squabble Up +430
  • DNA +500
  • A.D.H.D. +500

Last Song to Be Performed

"Not Like Us" and "All the Stars" feel like better bets for Lamar's finale. He'll want to start strong but will also want to leave fans with a lasting impression. He probably won't delve into the obscure to wrap his performance.

Last Song Favorites

  • Not Like Us -160 (bet $160 to win $100
  • All the Stars +210
  • Savior +470
  • King Kunta +490
  • Humble +450
  • Luther +600
  • Gloria +600

Number of Songs Performed

This is always a popular halftime prop, and the number of songs can vary wildly between artists. Usher performed 11 tracks during last year's halftime show, and Rihanna performed 12 two years ago.

The Weeknd, however, only performed nine songs during Super Bowl LV.

The Super Bowl LVI halftime show might provide a good reference point here. That performance featured multiple individual artists and intros and still reached 11 songs. Unless Lamar features a plethora of guests or surprises with extended plays, he's likely to go well into the double digits.

Number of Songs Over/Under

  • Over 10.5 +100
  • Under 10.5 -122

Celebrity Guest to Appear on Stage

This should be one of the more fun props to follow because Lamar is no stranger to surprises. Halftime performers don't always feature guests, but with SZA already scheduled to appear, other guests are likely to follow.

Lil Wayne has claimed that he won't be among them, but the New Orleans-born star could always be setting up fans for a shock. Taylor Swift also feels like an unlikely guest, since she'll probably be cheering on Travis Kelce and the Chiefs from a suite rather than performing on stage—but you never know.

Odds are available for more than 20 artists which is a testament to Lamar's past collaborative efforts. Honestly, there's no telling who might appear on Sunday, though the oddsmakers have their favorites.

Celebrity Guest Favorites

  • Baby Keem +110
  • Lil Wayne +164
  • Future +184
  • Metro Boomin +184
  • Jay Rock +204
  • Doechii +210
  • Travis Scott +250
  • Tyler, The Creator +310

Super Bowl National Anthem 2025: Updated Odds for Jon Batiste's Rendition

The Super Bowl has long served as the biggest stage in sports, and in many ways, it is the biggest global event altogether. The stars come out for the NFL's championship game, and millions of non-football fans even tune into the broadcast.

Last year's Super Bowl drew an estimated 123.7 million viewers, according to Neilsen, the largest single-network broadcast to date.

Super Bowl LIX, which will see the Kansas City Chiefs attempt an unprecedented three-peat against the Philadelphia Eagles, figures to be another big one. History could potentially be made by both teams.

Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and the Chiefs could win their third straight championship, a feat that hasn't been accomplished during the Super Bowl era. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, meanwhile, could break Terrell Davis' record for the most rushing yards in a season (regular season and playoffs).

The pre-game ceremonies in New Orleans should be just as impressive.

Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will perform a pregame rendition of "America the Beautiful," Ledisi will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," while singer-songwriter Jon Batiste will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Batiste, for those unfamiliar, is a five-time Grammy winner whose 2021 album We Are was named Album of the Year. Some fans, however, may know him best as the former music director and bandleader of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

As is the case with just about every other aspect of the Super Bowl, fans so inclined can place wagers on the national anthem performance.

According to FanDuel, the over/under for Batiste's performance is set at 120.5 seconds. The odds seem to indicate that the over (-142, bet $142 to win $100) is perceived as more likely than the under (+114, bet $100 to win $114). There's a reason for that.

Last year's performer, Reba McEntire, clocked in at roughly 96 seconds. That was relatively short compared to other recent renditions. According to Mary Omatiga of NBC Sports, of the 12 performers before McEntire, eight went longer than two minutes.

As a multi-instrumental artist, Batiste is likely to play as well as sing, which could lead to a lengthier performance. Alicia Keys performed the anthem with a piano at Super Bowl XLVII and played for two minutes and 36 seconds.

According to FanDuel, the official time will be "settled from the first note played (instrument or voice) to last note (instrument or voice)."

The over feels like the smart bet here, even if the odds aren't particularly favorable.

Other odds centered on Batiste's anthem performance include whether he will (-144) or won't (+290) perform the song with a piano. According to FanDuel, Batiste only needs to play a single piano note for this one to qualify as "yes," though it must be shown on the broadcast.

It's worth noting that Batiste played both guitar and piano when he performed the anthem to kick off the 2020 NBA season—it was an under-120-second performance, though he did not sing.

Fans can also bet on the length of Batiste's final vocal note (over/under 3.5 seconds at -113), though that one's much harder to predict. Based on his past performances, there's no guarantee that this will even be a vocal one.

Not every bet involving the anthem is centered around Batiste's performance. Fans can also wager on whether a player or coach will (-1000) or won't (+520) cry during the anthem. That one is heavily skewed toward yes, which is unsurprising. Given the stakes of the Super Bowl and the emotions that come along with them, it'll be a surprise if every member of the two squads remains dry-eyed throughout Batiste's performance.

Lindsey Vonn's comeback tour continued Saturday with a 15th-place finish at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

Vonn finished 1.96 seconds behind winner Breezy Johnson, an American teammate of Vonn's who earned the first major victory of her career.

Vonn was in line with Johnson's time through the second checkpoint but lost some time on the final push to finish 15th. While it wasn't a podium finish, it was an improvement from Thursday's Super G where she failed to finish.

Johnson finished 0.15 seconds ahead of silver medalist Mirjam Puchner of Austria and 0.21 seconds ahead of Ester Ledecka of Czechia.

Vonn had retired in 2019 after winning bronze in downhill skiing at the World Championships. She is attempting to become the oldest female competitor to win a race at 40 years old.

Angel Reese's Double-Double Energizes Fans as Rose Beat Stewart, Mist in Unrivaled

Feb 7, 2025

Rose BC won its second consecutive Unrivaled game on Friday night, defeating Mist BC by the final score of 71-63.

Rose BC maintained a double-digit advantage for most of the contest, but Mist BC cut the deficit to six points late in the fourth quarter. Azura Stevens eventually connected on a putback layup to reach the winning score of 71 and end the game, though.

Angel Reese recorded a double-double in the win, finishing with 12 points and 12 rebounds. She shot 4-10 from the field and hit all three of her free-throw attempts, picking up one assist and one steal.

Reese spearheaded an impressive performance on the glass from Rose BC, securing 43 total rebounds and 14 offensive rebounds. Mist BC pulled down just 30 rebounds and five offensive rebounds.

Fans were impressed with Reese's performance.

Stevens scored 15 points in seven minutes, while Kahleah Cooper put up a team-high 21 points while shooting 47.6 percent from the field.

Mist BC struggled from behind the arc, connecting on just one of 10 three-point attempts as a team.

Two-time WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart scored 12 points on 5-11 shooting and racked up four blocks in 12 minutes, but it wasn't enough for Mist BC to emerge victorious.

Rose BC now sits at No. 3 in the Unrivaled standings with a 3-4 record following the win.

The Lunar Owls remained undefeated through seven Unrivaled games, taking down Phantom BC by the final score of 94-76 on Friday night.

While the Lunar Owls held a one-point advantage at halftime and briefly trailed near the start of the third quarter, they built a double-digit lead before the end of the period and didn't look back.

It was a balanced scoring effort from the Lunar Owls, with four players recording at least 18 points.

Napheesa Collier, the top scorer in Unrivaled action, finished with 20 points and six rebounds to go along with three assists. She hit eight of her 14 field-goal attempts, which included the game-winning push shot for the Lunar Owls.

The 2024 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year also picked up two steals.

Fans were amazed by Collier's performance.

Allisha Gray scored a team-high 23 points for the Lunar Owls, while Skylar Diggins-Smith chipped in with 18 points and seven assists on 7-11 shooting.

For Phantom BC, Sabrina Ionescu scored 13 points and pulled down five rebounds. While Ionescu shot 5-11 from the field, she was only able to connect on one of her four attempts from behind the arc.

The loss dropped Phantom BC to No. 6 in the Unrivaled standings at 2-5, while the Lunar Owls improved to 7-0 and maintained their top spot.

WWE Rumors: Kevin Owens Signed New Contract Prior to Royal Rumble Match vs. Rhodes

Kevin Owens reportedly signed a new WWE contract ahead of his WWE Championship ladder match against Cody Rhodes at Royal Rumble last weekend.

According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, sources confirmed that KO signed a new deal with WWE that officially started at the Royal Rumble premium live event.

While terms of the deal were not disclosed, Owens may have hinted at the contract being five years in length with the following post on X:

Owens, 40, first gained acclaim on the independent scene under his real name, Kevin Steen, during the 2000s.

The Quebec, Canada, native most notably held the Ring of Honor World Championship before signing with WWE in 2014.

Owens quickly became NXT champion and later enjoyed immense success early on in his main roster run, including becoming universal champion in 2016.

He is also a three-time United States champion, two-time intercontinental champion and one-time tag team champion.

Although major singles titles have eluded Owens in recent years, he has remained a key player on the WWE roster, main eventing Night 1 of WrestleMania 38 against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 when he and Sami Zayn beat The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Back in October, Owens turned on Rhodes, setting the wheels in motion for a heated rivalry over the WWE Championship.

Rhodes defeated Owens in a match at WrestleMania that saw KO take several high-risk bumps. Zayn tended to Owens after the match, but he became a target of Owens' attack on Raw.

After Zayn lost an Elimination Chamber qualifying match to CM Punk, KO jumped Zayn and hit him with a Package Piledriver, seemingly because Zayn did not help him beat Cody at Royal Rumble.

The attack may have been a setup for a match between the longtime, real-life friends at WrestleMania 41, which would mark the second time Owens and Zayn have locked horns in a one-on-one match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

The trunks Muhammad Ali wore while fighting Joe Frazier in the 1975 "Thrilla in Manila" bout have sold for $1.2 million at auction.

That total, which includes a buyer's premium, was announced Friday at Sotheby's, as reported by Will Stern of Cllct. Bidding started at $1 million, Stern noted.

Sotheby's planned to put the shorts up for auction in April 2024 before the sale was postponed, Stern previously reported.

At the time the original auction was delayed, the trunks had received a top bid of $3.8 million without buyer's premium, per Stern. That bid fell short of the sale price of $4-6 million originally estimated by Sotheby's.

The auction house told Stern last spring that delaying the sale would allow for "additional public viewing opportunities." Stern noted it is "unclear to what extent" the shorts were publicly or privately shopped between the first and second auction dates.

This time, the trunks went to auction with an irrevocable bid already in place. That meant a sale was guaranteed regardless of the auction's results, per Sotheby's.

The shorts, signed by Ali on the right leg, were worn during his 14-round bout with Frazier in October 1975 in the Philippines.

Ali's shorts originally hit the market in a 1988 auction after they were found in a storage locker owned by Ali's assistant trainer, Drew "Bundini" Brown, following Bundini's death. The shorts most recently sold for just over $150,000 in 2012, per Reuters.

Other parts of the outfit Ali wore during the Thrilla in Manila have also already been auctioned off, including his boxing shoes, which are currently owned by Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay.

WWE Rumors on John Cena, Roman Reigns; Tiffany Stratton Reacts to Mandy Rose Diss

Bleacher Report catches you up on the latest news from the WWE Universe.

Cena Reportedly Planned to Win Elimination Chamber

John Cena fell just short in his attempt to win the men's Royal Rumble match last weekend, but there is reportedly a huge victory in his future.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlePurists), Cena has been planned to win the men's Elimination Chamber match "since probably October or November."

Last year, Cena announced that 2025 would be his final year in WWE as an active in-ring competitor.

On the debut episode of Raw on Netflix, Cena made it his stated goal to win the Rumble, go on to WrestleMania 41 and become a 17-time world champion, which would break his tie with Ric Flair for the all-time record.

Cena seemed destined for victory once he made it to the final two with Jey Uso, but Uso shocked the wrestling world by eliminating Cena for the victory.

After the Rumble, Cena addressed the media during the Royal Rumble post-show and stressed the importance of winning the Elimination Chamber match to earn a world title match at WrestleMania.

Rather than being forced to qualify, Cena was given a spot in the Chamber match, meaning he will be one of six Superstars in the high-stakes match in Toronto.

It was widely assumed coming out of the Rumble that Cena was the Elimination Chamber favorite, so Meltzer's report about WWE's long-term plans for Cena to win the Chamber comes as little surprise.

Reported Reasoning for Reigns Injury Angle

Seth Rollins' stomp to Roman Reigns' head at Royal Rumble was reportedly done for a reason beyond building a storyline between Reigns and Rollins.

According to Meltzer (h/t WrestlePurists), the stomp was meant to write Reigns off television so he doesn't have to take a pin in the upcoming Elimination Chamber match.

During the latter stages of the men's Royal Rumble match, Reigns and Rollins were battling near the ropes when CM Punk emerged and threw both of them out of the ring at the same time.

While admiring his handiwork, Punk was then shockingly tossed out by Logan Paul, taking three of the top contenders out of the equation.

The three Superstars argued outside the ring until Rollins stomped Reigns' head onto the floor and then threw hands with Punk. Rollins then upped the ante by stomping the Tribal Chief's head onto the steel stairs.

Punk has already qualified for the men's Elimination Chamber match along with Cena, and it seems highly likely that Rollins will earn his way into the match as well.

Assuming that happens, it is easy to envision Reigns making an unannounced appearance at Elimination Chamber to screw Rollins and perhaps even Punk out of the victory.

PWInsider.com (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News) reported coming out of the Rumble that Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Punk in a Triple Threat is the current plan for WrestleMania 41.

If that is indeed the case, the stage has been properly set to build toward three of WWE's top stars clashing on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Stratton Responds to Mandy Rose's Critical Comments

WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton clapped back at former WWE star Mandy Rose in an interview this week.

During an appearance on Ring The Belle, Stratton was asked about Rose recently saying on her podcast that Stratton used her slogan, "Put some respect on my name." Rose added, "This b---h even used like the same kind of tone."

Stratton's response suggested that she isn't sweating Mandy's confrontational tone, as she replied: "Honestly, I think it's a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. But, I wish her the best, honestly."

When Stratton began her WWE run in NXT in late 2021, Rose was in the midst of what would become a 413-day reign as NXT women's champion, which is the third-longest reign in the history of the title.

Before getting released from WWE in December 2022, Rose had gone back to NXT after experiencing success on the main roster, and she seemed to finally be hitting her stride as a pro wrestler.

At the same time, Stratton established herself as one of the fastest-rising stars in NXT history, and she eventually became NXT women's champion in her own right.

After getting called up to the main roster, Stratton won the women's Money in the Bank ladder match last year, and she successfully cashed it in on Nia Jax to become WWE women's champion last month.

Despite her relatively limited experience, Stratton has been positioned as one of the top women's wrestlers in WWE, and she is likely to compete in a huge singles match at WrestleMania 41.

With that in mind, it isn't surprising that Stratton is choosing to avoid engaging with anything that distracts from her rise to the top of WWE.
