Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho has called West Ham United owners David Sullivan and David Gold the "Dildo brothers" as a row between the two clubs threatens to escalate, per FourFourTwo.

The two clubs have fallen out after a deadline-day move for William Carvalho fell through with West Ham upset they did not have the time to complete the medical.

Sky Sports provided the emails sent by West Ham:

Sporting subsequently hit back over the Hammers' claims, with Sporting director Nuno Saraiva posting a statement on his Facebook page, in which he accused Sullivan of lying, per Robert Summerscales of MailOnline.

Club president Carvalho has added his own outspoken remarks on Sporting TV (via FourFourTwo) that may further anger the West Ham owners:

"Where is it? Proof? Now [clubs have made] approaches, for sure. I’ve had them for almost the whole squad. West Ham supporters call Mr. David Sullivan and his brother the Dildo Brothers. These messengers, these offended virgins, the president of West Ham…we must tell the truth."

Carvalho appears to be referring to Sullivan's business past as the 67-year-old amassed a fortune through the adult entertainment industry.

Per Jack Pitt-Brooke at The Independent, the club do not plan to respond to Carvalho's comments:

The row is unlikely to affect the mood surrounding the club at the moment. West Ham have started the season with three straight defeats.

West Ham United have completed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez.

The Hammers confirmed Chicharito's switch via their official Twitter account on Monday:

The Mexico international rose to prominence at Manchester United, becoming a hugely popular figure at Old Trafford before his permanent departure to the Bundesliga in 2015.

Often used as a goalscoring substitute by iconic United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Hernandez commanded a starting role at Leverkusen before returning to the Premier League.

The 29-year-old scored 34 goals for the German team in two seasons, per WhoScored.com, as he excelled in the Bundesliga and European competition.

Chicharito is the perfect signing for West Ham, and if they can create opportunities in the penalty area next season, the Mexican will find the back of the net on a regular basis.

West Ham United have confirmed they have signed Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City.

The club announced the news via Twitter on Saturday:

Per Stoke City's official website, Arnautovic will cost the Hammers at least £20 million, with £5 million in bonus money added to the deal. The fee is a club record.

The Austrian will be a huge miss for Stoke. He scored six goals and provided five assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season, per WhoScored.com.

However, he will bring creativity to a West Ham attack that managed only 47 goals in 38 Premier League games last season, as illustrated by Opta:

West Ham appear keen to strengthen their forward line this summer, having also been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and Bayer Leverkusen's Javier Hernandez, per Matt Law at the Telegraph.

West Ham United announced they have agreed to terms for the transfer of striker Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, with the Mexico international set to fly to London to agree personal terms and take a medical.

Let go by Manchester United in August 2015 for £7.3 million, Hernandez had a brilliant 2015-16 season with Bayer, netting 17 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances, per WhoScored.com, and being named the division's Player of the Month in November, December and January, as noted by the Mirror's Jacob Murtagh.

His level dropped somewhat in 2016-17, but he still managed to return 11 goals and three assists in 26 appearances in the German top flight.

Chicharito is a natural goalscorer and was a favourite of Sir Alex Ferguson at United following his 2010 move to Old Trafford from Mexican club Guadalajara.

Having spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Real Madrid, Hernandez has proved himself an effective poacher in the Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga, and thus he is almost guaranteed to score regularly for the Hammers.

Now 29 years old, Chicharito is experienced and still in the prime of his career. He proved in his debut season with Bayer that, when given a regular starting role, he can be a remarkably consistent goalscorer.

Given the relative scarcity of good value strikers in the transfer market, West Ham have done well to snap up Hernandez, who should thrive back in the Premier League.

Joe Hart Completes Yearlong Loan to West Ham from Manchester City

West Ham United have completed the signing of Joe Hart from Manchester City on a yearlong loan deal.

West Ham confirmed the switch through on Tuesday, with the England international stopper joining the Hammers for the 2017-18 season:

It'll be Hart's second year in succession out on loan from the Etihad Stadium, having joined Torino for the previous campaign. Here's a look at some of his best moments in Serie A:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vysUbnp0ops

The 30-year-old's stock has fallen over the past 12 months, with City boss Pep Guardiola bringing in Claudio Bravo last summer and relegating Hart to third choice.

A switch to Torino took plenty by surprise, although Hart embraced his time in Serie A, immersing himself in the culture of Italian football and seeking to add different facets to his game. However, despite his high-profile acquisition, he wasn't always convincing for the Granata.

Indeed, the shot-stopping quality Hart long showcased for City was scarce, while his decision-making was often erratic too. As WhoScored.com noted, at times Hart made costly mistakes for Torino:

Still, Hart has obvious qualities as a 'keeper that'll benefit West Ham. The England man knows all about the Premier League, is a proven winner and is a leader at the base of the team. Additionally, for a side of the Hammers' pedigree, a player of his reputation should be considered a coup.

Slaven Bilic's side struggled with their goalkeepers last season, with Adrian and Darren Randolph both far from convincing during various spells between the sticks.

Considering the financial aspects of the loan move, Sky Sports News HQ's Kaveh Solhekol thinks this is smart business from West Ham:

Following a year away from the irrepressible intensity of the Premier League, Hart will hope to kick-start his career again at the London Stadium and help a talented West Ham squad improve on their disappointing 11th-place finish from 2016-17.

Hart will also be desperate to keep hold of his starting position in the England side with the 2018 FIFA World Cup on the horizon. With the likes of Jack Butland, Fraser Forster and Jordan Pickford for competition, he needs a strong campaign if he's going to start in Russia next summer.

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan is set to provide shelter and money to Stephen Jones, a homeless man who helped tend to victims of Monday's terrorist attack in Manchester.

After the atrocity at the Manchester Arena, Jones documented the evening's events to local broadcasters and spoke of how he helped children who had been hit with shrapnel.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live on Tuesday, Sullivan made a plea for him to come forward:

Sullivan's son has since revealed on social media they have managed to make contact with Jones:

The arena was targeted by a suicide bomber on Monday, with the device set off as the audience were leaving an Ariana Grande concert. It has been confirmed that 22 people died, including some children, with 120 more injured, per the Manchester Evening News.

In the aftermath of the attack, Jones spoke of the horrific scene and how he did his utmost to help:

Another homeless man who was in the foyer where the bombing occurred, Chris Parker, has also spoken about how he sought to help those who had been injured in the blast.

"Everyone was piling out, all happy and everything else. As people were coming out of the glass doors I heard a bang and within a split second I saw a white flash, then smoke and then I heard screaming," he said, per Sarah Knapton of the Daily Telegraph. "It knocked me to the floor and then I got up and instead of running away my gut instinct was to run back and try and help."

Jones' testament struck a chord with others too. A bulletin from Twitter user seddo1984 asked followers to donate in an attempt to raise £300 for the man; more than £30,000 had been donated on Wednesday morning.

A warrant has been issued for West Ham United player Robert Snodgrass after he failed to show at a scheduled court date.

As reported by BBC, the 29-year-old was set to stand trial on Friday over allegations he was driving his car while a passenger was holding a baby in the back seat on April 17 last year. However, the Scotland international didn't appear at Glasgow’s Justice of the Peace Court as arranged.

According to Snodgrass’ defence lawyer Martin Black, the Hammers man "didn’t think he had to be" in attendance.

Nevertheless, as a result of his non-appearance, a warrant was requested and subsequently issued by JP Eunice Paton.

Per the report, it has been alleged that Snodgrass was driving a vehicle on Duke Street in Glasgow that was too full for a baby seat to be fitted in. As a result, "the baby is alleged to have been in the arms for a rear seat passenger," per the BBC.

According to Stephen Wilkie of the Daily Star, the warrant could see the Scot miss West Ham’s next Premier League match, which will see Chelsea visit the London Stadium on Monday.

After impressing for Hull City in the early part of the Premier League season, scoring seven goals and notching three assists, Snodgrass earned a move to the Hammers in the January transfer window. He’s made four appearances for his new side but has yet to register a goal or an assist for the Hammers.

West Ham United completed the signing of Robert Snodgrass from Hull City on Friday.

The Hammers posted the following clip on their Twitter feed, in which the Scotland international reveals his reasons for joining and his new shirt number:

According to a statement on the club's official website, West Ham paid £10.2 million to sign Snodgrass on a three-and-a-half-year deal. According to Sky Sports News HQ, Hull had also accepted a bid from Burnley for the winger.

"The owners and the manager are trying to build something here and I just can't wait to get started," Snodgrass said. "I feel this is a club with real ambition, with the new stadium, great players and a manager of his calibre at Premier League level."

As noted in the club bulletin, the signing is West Ham's second significant move of the January window, as they previously acquired experienced defender Jose Fonte from Southampton.

While the Portugal international will be tasked with shoring up the Hammers back line, Snodgrass will be out to add some guile and incision to the team's forward forays.

As these figures from WhoScored.com illustrate, the Scotsman has been central to Hull's attacking play in the Premier League this season:

While West Ham will be delighted with the acquisition, Jonathan Northcroft of the Sunday Times is baffled by Hull's decisions in the window:

Irons fans have plenty to get excited about. Snodgrass is adept at operating on either flank, not to mention as a split striker. His awareness on the ball, quick feet and sharp decision-making will also offer something different to manager Slaven Bilic's side.

Additionally, the winger is an expert with a dead ball in front of him, whether indirectly from corners or in dangerous positions around the penalty area. Squawka Football noted earlier this month that no player has bettered the six free-kick goals scored by Snodgrass in the top flight since the 2012/13 season.

The big challenge for Snodgrass will be to fill the boots of Dimitri Payet, who was the inventive fulcrum for West Ham during a memorable 2015/16 season. The former fan favourite has been training with the under-23 side as of late after asking for a transfer.

West Ham Allegedly Turned Down Attempted Red Bull Takeover in August

West Ham United reportedly turned town a takeover attempt from the Red Bull group worth a potential £650 million in August.

According to Jack de Menezes of The Independent, the company is seeking to link up with a club in the Premier League having purchased stakes in teams from Germany, the United States and Brazil.

However, Hammers co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan are said to have rejected an offer to acquire the Olympic Stadium club, according to the latter’s son, Jack Sullivan:

https://twitter.com/jsullivanwhu/status/813485314404655108

In a statement on the club’s official website, Sullivan Sr. noted there is no intent to cash in on their part.

“We did have a tentative approach to buy the Club for £650 million from external investors in August this year, but I want to reiterate that we, the current owners, have NO DESIRE to sell the Club unless it is to somebody like the King of Saudi Arabia who can take it to a level we cannot ourselves hope to reach,” he said.

When asked about the reports linking Red Bull with a possible acquisition, Gold suggested there have been no talks held between the two parties:

As noted by De Menezes, Red Bull have been linked with takeovers of various clubs throughout English football, including Leeds United, Brentford, Charlton Athletic and Swindon Town.

Per the report, West Ham were recently valued at £200 million following the club’s relocation from the Boleyn Ground to the Olympic Stadium.

Red Bull’s influence is becoming increasingly prominent in world football. The company purchased Austrian side SV Salzburg in 2005 and immediately changed the name of the club to incorporate the brand name.

The most high-profile involvement currently is in that of RB Leipzig, known SSV Markranstadt in 2007 before being acquired by Red Bull. The team has enjoyed four promotions since and were recently top of the Bundesliga after a fine start to 2016-17, although the nature of their rise has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many supporters.

West Ham endured a torrid beginning to the Premier League season, as they struggled to acclimatise to their new home. However, they’ve rediscovered some form as of late, winning their last three games in succession, including a 4-1 hammering of Swansea City on Boxing Day.

Sullivan Jr. has a reputation for posting revealing information on social media, confirming details behind the loan deal of Simone Zaza from Juventus in the summer.

However, in 2015 he told his followers the last hour of the January transfer window was going to be an “interesting” one for Hammers fans. After West Ham failed to bring anyone aboard in the timeframe, Sullivan suggested eight potential deals had fallen through at the last minute.
