Philadelphia Soul Season Preview
The Soul were very active in the offseason, shedding loved veterans like Sean Scott and Dewayne Missouri.
They added Tony Graziani's favorite target in L.A., Chris Jackson, hoping that the two can team up again for another 100 TD, five INT season.
They also added veteran QB Matt D'Orazio, who won an Arena Bowl with Chicago in 2006, and WR Chris Horn, who was cut by the Carolina Panthers in September and is hoping to make a comeback in the AFL, having last played with the Arizona Rattlers in 2002.
These additions, along with the offensive line returning should make the Soul more potent on offense this year.
As far as the defense is concerned, I just don't know.
As mentioned before, they released Dewayne Missouri after signing Chris Jackson.
They have done nothing to replace his pass rush.
They have, however, signed some promising young DB in Dee Webb and a promising two way player named Larry Kendrick.
With veterans Mike Brown and Eddie Moten returning we should have one hell of a defensive backfield.

There was a rule change this past off season allowing the Jack Linebacker to roam freely from sideline to sideline.
This change should all but stop the run and allow for more zone coverage.
But the negative to this move would be more naked bootlegs, if you have a QB that can run.
It will be interesting to see how this rule affects the game.
