AEW Dynamite Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights After Revolution

Kenny Omega captured his first All Elite Wrestling gold in two years at Revolution.

Few shows deliver each year quite like Revolution, and All Elite Wrestling certainly delivered in 2025. The March 12 edition of Dynamite looked to continue the momentum from the pay-per-view.

Kenny Omega made his first appearance as AEW international champion at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

AEW also announced a tournament to crown his Dynasty challenger, beginning with Orange Cassidy vs. Hechicero and The Beast Mortos vs. a "wild card."

Swerve Strickland defeated Ricochet to earn a No. 1 contender opportunity against AEW world champion Jon Moxley. What would champion and challenger do next?

"Timeless" Toni Storm delivered a Hollywood Ending to her rivalry with Mariah May. Who would step up to the AEW women's world champion next?

Will Ospreay finally put an end to his rivalry with Kyle Fletcher and maybe The Don Callis Family. Where would he shift his focus after a brutal steel cage match?

Wednesday was certain to be a night to remember, following up on the wild action from Revolution.

Kenny Omega Welcomes New Challengers in First Championship Address

Kenny Omega put over Konosuke Takeshita and promised to be a great international champion, before turning his focus to the Dynasty Eliminator to determine his next challenger.

It is always good to hear from The Cleaner. He did not add anything new to the expectation for the night as the tournament was already confirmed.

Still, he clearly announced he was moving beyond The Don Callis Family. It is hard to predict who will face Omega next, but there are plenty of exciting options.

Most importantly, this promo did not last long and allowed Omega just enough time to celebrate with the fans.

Notable Moments

—The crowd gave Omega a rousing "You deserve it" chant as he put over what it meant to him to be a singles champion again.

Ad Placeholder

—The Cleaner thanked Takeshita for dragging him back to his absolute best to capture the International Championship.

—Katsuyori Shibata stared down Omega before The Opps headed to the ring.

The Opps vs. Vinny Pacifico, Eli Theseus and Gabrial Aeros

The local competitors were no match for The Opps. Samoa Joe watched as Hook confidently ducked the competition before Katsuyori Shibata sealed the win with a PK to Vinny Pacifico.

The Opps continue to dominate lesser-known teams, but the time has passed for this style of contest. It's time to pit Joe, Hook and Shibata against established trios.

The ultimate goal should be for them to earn a Trios Championships match against The Death Riders, and that begins with fighting teams such as Undisputed Kingdom and Shane Taylor Promotions.

Result

The Opps def. Pacifico, Theseus and Aeros.

Grade

Notable Moments

—Hook came out with his own towel to match with his veteran partners.

—Backstage, Ricochet warned Shibata that he was in his way of capturing gold.

—Excalibur announced a Street Fight rematch between Jon Moxley and Cope for the AEW World Championship next week.

—Cope found Swerve Strickland and warned that he planned to fight him at Dynasty after dethroning Mox next week.

—Moxley called The Rated R Superstar a man with "excuses" and promised to beat him definitively next week.

Hologram and Hobbs (w/ Harleygram) vs. Brian Cage and Dralistico (w/ Beast Mortos)

Brian Cage was rolling in this match until Powerhouse Hobbs set up his own chest as a springboard for Hologram to take out Cage outside.

Hobbs then laid out Dralistico with a spinebuster for the win.

This was an oddball idea for a tag team match that worked due to the talent involved. Everyone bar Hobbs has another tag partner they could have worked with.

But matches like this are nice novelties that are unlikely to be repeated. They allow for different styles to shine through. Cage looked great at every stage of this one.

It also gave Hobbs another big win, continuing a rising streak in AEW. It feels like he cannot lose, and that will likely lead him to championship gold soon.

Hologram is fun to watch consistently, though his role on the roster is still somewhat undefined. He has been feuding with LFI for a while, and it's time to do something else.

Result

Hobbs and Hologram def. Cage and Dralistico by pinfall.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

—Harleygram came out for Hologram's entrance, posing behind him and then backing him up in the match.

—During the bout, Harleygram danced for The Beast Mortos, who was entranced.

—After the loss, Lance Archer and Mark Davis stared down Hobbs and questioned Dralistico for letting down Cage.

Megan Bayne Lays Out 'Timeless' Toni Storm

After a fantastic drama package highlighting the end of the rivalry between "Timeless" Toni Storm and Mariah May, the AEW women's world champion told anyone to step up next.

Out of the darkness, Megan Bayne arrived to lay out Storm with a forearm to the back of the head and stood tall over the champion.

Storm delivers promos like no one else in the business, from her signature old-school cadence to her innuendo-laden dialogue.

If the moment had ended with her standing firm and left the question of her next challenger, it would have been good, but Bayne stepping up made a memorable statement.

Ad Placeholder

While Bayne has only been in AEW a short time, she is a dominant monster unlike anything the company has seen.

It makes all the more sense that she has already defeated Kris Statlander, and she could go on to ending Storm's reign in short order.

Grade

A-

Notable Moments

—Storm made references to Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Mercedes Moné and orgies, and she sounded ready for it all.

—MVP declared it was time for The Hurt Syndicate to have fun, but Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin planned to go back to the gym first.

Dynasty Eliminator Tournament: The Beast Mortos vs. 'Speedball' Mike Bailey

"Speedball" Mike Bailey made his debut as the "wild card" of the Dynasty Eliminator Tournament. He won with a standing moonsault knee drop and a roundhouse kick.

This was a great opening performance from Bailey, who made The Beast Mortos look dangerous before overwhelming him with his unique blend of strikes and athleticism.

Mortos played his part perfectly as he often does, and eventually AEW will need to give him a serious run of wins for his work.

For now, Speedball needed to win, and he could well win the whole tournament. It will likely come down to him and Ricochet for who gets the next shot at Kenny Omega.

Result

Bailey def. Mortos by pinfall to advance to the Dynasty Eliminator Tournament.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

—Mortos nearly got the win after he caught Speedball on the top rope for a standing military press slam.

—Christian Cage tried to excuse his loss at Revolution. Nick Wayne said Christian was lying and owed The Patriarchy an apology. The Patriarch ran down Wayne for questioning him. Cage's promo was phenomenal.

MVP Offers MJF a Hurt Syndicate Business Card

MVP interrupted MJF after he made excuses for his loss to "Hangman" Adam Page.

The Hurt Syndicate's manager offered The Salt of the Earth a business card.

MJF declined at first, but MVP reminded him that he "was" a world champion. The Salt of the Earth took the card and pocketed it.

While it's difficult to say at the moment where this is going, pairing two of the best talkers in AEW is going to create electric television.

These two immediately sold their connection, showing each other respect, but they also have different goals in this moment.

Ad Placeholder

MJF still wants to go after Page, and perhaps he still will. But it looks like MVP wants to get The Salt of the Earth back to the AEW World Championship.

This is an intriguing opportunity that could take MJF back to the top of the business, or it could push him into a rivalry with The Hurt Syndicate, which means he will need to find some allies again.

Grade

A

Notable Moments

—Before MJF headed to the ring, interviewer Lexy Nair tried to get words with him in his locker room, but he smashed a mirror and shouted her off.

Ad Placeholder

—MVP went over his history with MJF going back 10 years where an 18-year-old Max tried to pick his brain.

—Later, MJF ran into Hangman and promised to walk past him to win the world title again and again.

Open Challenge: Max Caster vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Max Caster continued his Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge.

Konosuke Takeshita answered the call and planted out Caster with the Raging Fire to win.

Caster's Open Challenges are a weekly delight, giving someone a chance to look like a true dominant force. This was the perfect spot for Takeshita post-Revolution.

He needed to look like a destroyer, especially since he is not in the Dynasty Eliminator.

Assumedly, Takeshita vs. Kenny Omega is not over yet, but it will be delayed until the right time.

In the meantime, he still has a NEVER Openweight Championship to defend in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, maybe in AEW as well.

Result

Takeshita def. Caster by pinfall.

Grade

C

Notable Moments

—Caster took the microphone after the bell rang and said he could do what Takeshita could not: beat Omega. Takeshita knocked him out with a forearm.

—In a private room, Chris Jericho mocked Bandido while he held Gravity's mask. This was one of the best promos Jericho has cut in a while, showing how serious he takes his rivalry with Bandido.

Willow Nightingale vs. Penelope Ford

Penelope Ford nearly countered everything Willow Nightingale could deliver, but after a cutter, Willow countered a second cutter attempt into a Pounce to win.

Ford attacked Willow with a steel chair after the match. When Kris Statlander tried to make the save, Megan Bayne laid out Willow and Statlander.

This was a good contest between AEW veterans. When Ford and Willow were grappling, the sequences were snappy, and the heel got enough heat to come off as a believable threat despite her record.

The post-match brawl was not as clean, but the transition to Statlander then Bayne worked well.

In particular, this was a big night for Bayne despite not wrestling a single match. She laid waste to Toni Storm, Willow and Statlander.

Result

Nightingale def. Ford by pinfall.

Grade

B-

Notable Moments

—Mercedes Moné struggled to speak due to bruises suffered at the hands of Momo Watanabe. Billie Starkz challenged The CEO to a TBS Championship match next week.

Will Ospreay Enters the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

Tony Schiavone talked to a banged-up Will Ospreay, who said he needed to go home for a while to make it up to his real-life partner, Alex Windsor.

He set his course upon his return, promising to win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and contend for the world title at All In.

The Aerial Assassin continues to deliver on the mic, showing his personality while keeping it real. His tangent about his girlfriend was hilariously delivered.

Ospreay in the main event of All In is a smart move, but that world title picture has gotten crowded quickly. He may not have the opportunity.

Still, he made the Owen Hart tournament feel important early, reminding fans what will be on the line when it starts.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

—Renee Paquette interviewed Jay White, who said he would redeem himself next week by helping Cope. He also warned Swerve Strickland about getting in his way to the world title.

Dynasty Eliminator Tournament: Orange Cassidy vs. Hechicero

Hechicero wrapped up Orange Cassidy throughout this match, wearing him down limb by limb.

However, Freshly Squeezed escaped with a win by catching him in the Mousetrap.

After the win, "Speedball" Mike Bailey came out to show respect to Cassidy.

This was easily the best match of the night, showcasing what makes these two so great in the ring. Hechicero's cerebral style wore out Freshly Squeezed almost to his breaking point.

It felt like he had truly met his match down the stretch, and it's a shame that it didn't lead to The Mad Alchemist pulling out the upset.

Ad Placeholder

While Cassidy is one of AEW's best stars, he already got his shot at the International Championship recently.

Hechicero has been the biggest standout from CMLL, working AEW matches. He could have used the added credibility and exposure for future appearances in the promotion.

Still, even if the predictable result was delivered, this was the kind of match that AEW thrives on and one that is rarely seen with Bryan Danielson retired as a full-time performer.

Result

Hechicero by pinfall to advance in the Dynasty Eliminator Tournament.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

Ad Placeholder

—Cassidy walked the ropes with Hechicero's hand grasped, teasing a big move, only to put his hand in his pocket and jump down.

—Due to the technical focus of The Mad Alchemist, Cassidy could not complete a kip up late, struggling back to his feet.

Overall Show

This was a "talky" show from start to finish. Mostly, the promos worked and the right stars were relied upon in those spots.

However, it was noticeable that this was a step down from the road to Revolution.

In particular, the wrestling was only good enough. There was no single match on the night that will be remembered past this week.

Many stars were selling injuries, while others were likely legitimately banged-up. Next week's card looks more appealing already given the stakes.

It would have been nice to see more of a spotlight on those who were ready to perform, especially a women's division itching for a bigger spotlight.

What we got, though, was consistent and effective. Dynasty on April 6 is beginning to shape up, and the men's main event scene is heating up big time.

Down weeks are inevitable, even if AEW could do more to avoid them by relying on the depth of its roster.
