AEW Collision Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From March 29

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Collision on March 29.
Here's a look at what AEW advertised for Saturday's show:
—Top Flight vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith
—Jamie Hayter vs. Queen Aminata
—Mercedes Mone in action
—Dax Harwood vs. Wheeler Yuta
Let's take a look at everything that happened on this week's Collision.
Jay White vs. Kevin Knight

Toni Storm opened Collision with a promo and immediately called out Megan Bayne. She delivered a speech filled with innuendos until she was attacked by Penelope Ford. Storm got the upper hand until Bayne took her down.
The first match of the night featured Jay White taking on Kevin Knight from NJPW. White looked unimpressed with his opponent during his entrance but AEW showed a brief highlight reel to introduce fans to Knight.
They started off with a few simple exchanges to feel each other out. They kept it technical and focused mostly on holds and takedowns for the first few minutes before they began incorporating strikes.
The way they told this story was that White was a wily veteran and Knight was an up-and-coming talent hoping to stand out. They did a great job with the storytelling aspect in addition to some solid wrestling.
A few timing issues caused some awkward spots, but the vast majority of what they did was executed well. Switchblade scored a decisive win with the Blade Runner. White grabbed a mic and put Knight over after the match before declaring he would win the Owen Hart Cup.
Result: White defeated Knight
Grade: B
Notable Moments and Observations
—If you are watching on Max, you might have been shocked out of your seat when the show started. It was such an abrupt switch from the calming blue screen to the intro.
—Storm said Bayne was probably crushing watermelons and eating babies.
—Knight's headscissor takedown looked like both men had trouble with it.
—Tony Schiavone confirmed Knight was All Elite after the match.
Mercedes Mone vs. Robyn Renegade

The CEO was in action this week against one-half of the Renegade Twins, Robyn. Mone big-timed Robyn a bit at first, but the ROH regular surprised her with a two-count early on.
Renegade put up more of a fight than expected and gave Mone a few close calls, but the outcome of this was never in question.
This is one of those bouts you could bet your life savings on and feel confident that you would win by picking The CEO because her opponent was more of a side quest than a final boss.
This match wasn't very long and almost felt unnecessary, but it was a solid few minutes of wrestling. Mone gave an interview after the match and trashed Billie Starkz until Athena came out to confront her.
The Forever ROH Champion sent Mone running and took out Renegade while saying Collision was her show now.
Result: Mone defeated Renegade
Grade: C+
Notable Moments and Observations
—Robyn mocking Mercedes' dance was funny.
—They tried to do a roll through crossbody spot but Robyn had a little trouble getting to her feet with Mone in her arms.
—Mercedes combined the words cup and Hart while saying she would win the Owen Carp in a funny little gaffe.
Top Flight vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith

Leila Grey accompanied Dante and Darius Martin to the ring for their tag match against The Bad Apple and The Redwood.
Keith and Dante locked up first and had a quick exchange before big brother Darius took over. Once Big Bill tagged in, he changed the pace of the match.
They worked through a break and into the next segment. Chris Jericho's cronies had Top Flight reeling for a long time. When it looked like Dante would change things with a hot tag, Bill wiped him out with a clothesline.
Both teams did some great work and made this a highly entertaining encounter. Bill was especially good in his role as the base for the high-flyers and the guy who grounded their aerial offense.
The Redwood got the win with a huge clothesline to Dante while The Bad Apple took out Darius with a running knee to keep him from saving his brother.
Action Andretti and Lio Rush showed up but AR Fox prevented them from attacking Top Flight.
Result: Big Bill and Bryan Keith defeated Top Flight
Grade: B+
Notable Moments and Observations
—Starkz was named as the replacement for an injured Queen Aminata in the main event against Hayter.
—Keith is so funny without even trying. Every time he says something with an angry tone, it's hilarious because he delivers the line perfectly.
Wheeler Yuta vs. Dax Harwood

Adam Cole came to the ring with Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong by his side for a face-to-face meeting with Daniel Garcia, who had Daddy Magic by his side. Cole said Garcia should want a rematch to prove he is better than ending in a draw. Garcia agreed to defend the title at Dynasty with no time limit.
Up next was Harwood taking on Yuta in singles competition. Cash Wheeler was at ringside but Yuta came out alone. Harwood had the experience and size advantage, but Yuta had speed, conditioning and quickness on his side.
Both of these men pride themselves as great technicians, so this match had a little bit of everything. Both men looked especially smooth with their holds and takedowns.
This was a hard-hitting and fun encounter between two guys who appear very different but have a lot in common below the surface. Yuta was able to get the win with a pinning combination. It was a perfectly clean win with no interference or cheating.
Harwood had to be pulled away from the official by security when it looked like he would attack him. Wheeler came out and Harwood shoved him to the mat. He looked like he regretted it immediately. Wheeler got in his face and then walked away with his hands up.
Result: Yuta defeated Harwood
Grade: A-
Notable Moments and Observations
—Daddy Magic needs to be in a comedy show or movie. He's hilarious.
—The Death Riders never bringing the titles with them has made it so easy to forget they are the trios champions sometimes.
—Nigel McGuinness keeping his pettiness over Bryan Danielson alive is such a good bit.
Hologram vs. Blake Christian

Hologram was in action this week against Blake Christian, who had Lee Johnson at ringside with him.
Both competitors are great high-flyers, so they turned this into an exchange of takedowns and aerial moves right away. It looked like they might have a show of respect with a handshake, but Christian slapped him across his masked face instead.
Hologram picked up his 22nd win with his signature spinning powerbomb. This was enjoyable from start to finish and made both men look awesome.
Result: Hologram defeated Christian
Grade: A-
Notable Moments and Observations
—It's very hard to take Nick Wayne seriously as someone who should be intimidating.
—The slap from Christian was wild.
—The hurricanrana from Hologram on the barricade was an impressive spot.
Jamie Hayter vs. Billie Starkz

"Card subject to change" was truer than ever this week as Aminata was unfortunately forced to sit out due to a wrist injury. Starkz replaced her in what became her biggest AEW match to date.
The former world champion tried to use her usual strength advantage, but her young opponent is just as tall and almost as strong, so she had a bigger challenge ahead of her than she initially expected.
A confident Hayter was posing and walking around confidently during the early moments of the match, but Starkz eventually proved she wasn't someone to be overlooked. They put on a good back-and-forth contest that likely opened a lot of eyes to what Starkz can do when given an opportunity.
It was a big harder than she assumed it would be, but Hayter was able to get the win with a rope-assisted Hayterade clothesline.
Result: Hayter defeated Starkz
Grade: B+
Notable Moments and Observations
—Starkz is a talented performer so it's great to see her get a chance to shine on a bigger stage than ROH.
—Seeing the women getting two matches and the main event on the same show is a great step in the right direction.
The Final Word

This week's Collision was a strong episode for in-ring action, but it also managed to highlight several ongoing things in AEW.
The Owen Hart Cup is starting soon and several references were made to the men's and women's tournaments, but there was also a lot of talk related to Dynasty.
The match of the night is going to depend on your personal taste. If you like high-flying lucha libre action, then Hologram and Christian delivered in their encounter.
If you like technical wrestling with a dash of stiff strikes, then Harwood and Yuta would be more your speed.
Just about everything on the show was entertaining and advanced a storyline or upcoming match, so all in all, it was a good week for Collision.
Grade: B+
