Fantasy Football Expert Analysis After 2025 NFL Draft Day 2

The first 10 picks of the second round at the 2025 NFL draft produced some enticing fantasy football options for the upcoming season.

Ohio State running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson were both drafted into situations where they can thrive in Year 1.

Henderson may have a better path to success right away with the New England Patriots because there is the potential of Nick Chubb coming back to the Cleveland Browns and knocking Judkins down the depth chart.

Luther Burden's arrival in Chicago is fascinating because new head coach Ben Johnson used plenty of players in his offense in Detroit. Burden could be one of many success stories for the Bears in 2025.

TreVeyon Henderson

CFP Cotton Bowl Football

TreVeyon Henderson is one of the better pass-catching running backs to come out of college football this year.

The Ohio State product caught 27 passes in addition to earning his second 1,000-yard campaign on the ground.

Henderson’s pass-catching skill set should allow him to make an impact right away in a New England offense where Rhamondre Stevenson is the primary ball carrier.

The No. 38 overall pick will get his share of carries as the season goes on, but his value right away will come on third down and in passing situations.

That makes him an intriguing FLEX or RB3 option to begin the season in fantasy football circles. He has potential to progress higher up fantasy rankings if he earns more carries.

The Browns found their running back of the future at No. 36 overall.

Quinshon Judkins has all the qualities of a primary ball carrier in the NFL, but his production level in 2025 will be questioned because of the Browns’ situation.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Browns and Nick Chubb “have had dialogue and the door is open” for a return in 2025.

Chubb’s return would be bad for Judkins’ initial fantasy value, but good for fantasy players who want to take a risk in one of the final rounds of drafts.

Judkins turned in three straight 1,000-yard seasons between Ole Miss and Ohio State. He also caught 22 balls in each of his last two seasons.

It’ll only be a matter of time before Judkins is Cleveland’s No. 1 back, but the Chubb situation is worth monitoring for what Judkins’ workload will be from the start.

Luther Burden

Oklahoma Missouri Football

Caleb Williams has plenty of options to work with in the passing game now that the Bears added Luther Burden and Colston Loveland through the draft.

Burden, the 39th overall pick, is likely the direct replacement for Keenan Allen from last year’s roster.

That leaves Burden and Rome Odunze to fight for the No. 2 wide receiver spot behind D.J. Moore.

Burden, Odunze, Moore, Loveland and Cole Kmet all have to get touches inside the new Bears offense, so the roles may not be defined until a few weeks into the season.

However, Burden has 1,000-yard potential and could be a nice steal in the back end of fantasy drafts.

At the moment, he is a WR3 candidate because he could get outplayed by Odunze in training camp. The potential is there, though, and in Ben Johnson’s offense, Burden could thrive and be one of the first-year stars of fantasy football.
