Let's break down some PPR rankings.

Below, we've compiled the rankings for quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends utilizing Fantasy Pros' expert consensus rankings and PPR projections. We'll also break down a few players who might have even more breakout potential than the below rankings suggest.

And for your flex rankings, consider any running back or wide receiver outside of the top-25 a viable flex option this week. May the fantasy points be with you!

Breakout Players to Watch

Dak Prescott has been a mid-tier option for fantasy players this season, but two things work in your favor if you have him in your lineup: He's red hot, having thrown for 576 yards, five touchdowns and just one pick in the past two games.

But he also faces a Philly defense giving up 19.4 fantasy points per week to opposing quarterbacks, the sixth-worst mark in football. This is a defense that has been torched by Sam Howell (twice), Mac Jones and Kirk Cousins, albeit going 4-0 in those games.

In Prescott's lone start against the Eagles last year, he threw for 347 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. He has legitimate potential to be the top quarterback available this week.

At running back, Darrell Henderson Jr. has played well in relief duty for Kyren Williams the past two weeks, putting up 13.6 and 11.5 fantasy points in PPR leagues. He gets a great matchup this week, facing a Green Bay defense giving up 22.5 fantasy points to opposing backs per week, sixth worst in the NFL.

The Packers have allowed five rushers to go for double-digit fantasy points against them. And Matt Stafford might not be playing, which could lead to a heavy dosage of run calls. Get Henderson in those lineups.

Ten different wideouts have scored double-digit points against the Los Angeles Chargers this season. Expect Garrett Wilson—who has somehow posted 17 or more fantasy points in two straight games despite the ongoing struggles of Zach Wilson—to become the 11th.

And finally, Dalton Kincaid is a great pick at tight end. He's been hot, with two straight weeks exceeding 15 fantasy points in PPR formats, and no defense has given up more fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season than the Cincinnati Bengals.

George Kittle just roasted this unit for nine receptions and 149 yards. Kincaid has major upside this week.

Jets' Garrett Wilson Calls Out 'Garbage' MetLife Stadium Turf After Injury vs. Eagles

The turf at MetLife Stadium continues to be an ongoing topic of concern for the New York Jets this season.

And after having to exit the game for a short period with a non-contact injury, star wideout Garrett Wilson called the newly installed FieldTurf playing surface "garbage" while also emphasizing that he was OK.

Wilson seemed to have also suffered an ailment in the fourth quarter and didn't return to the game, though coach Robert Saleh said he could've if necessary.

The Jets' consternation with the playing surface began early in the season after four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers went down just a few minutes into his Big Apple career with a torn Achilles in the team's season opener.

Several players have even called for the removal of the surface and for MetLife to switch over to grass which is much easier on their bodies.

"Baltimore was turf when I first got there and from what I know, players had a say so on whether we wanted grass or turf and they switched from turf to grass," Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley said following Rodgers' injury. "I know here, there's a lot of concerts and things like that and that's probably the reasons they didn't do it. But I feel that has to be something that changes. Grass is better for your body better for your knees.

"I know with the revenue and stuff, it's a tricky subject. You see a star, a future Hall of Famer go down like that — you just never know, it could have happened on grass. At the end of the day, grass feels better on your body than turf."

Prior to the season, the FieldTurf got positive reviews from both Jets and New York Giants players—including Rodgers—but as the season has worn on, it's become more of a recurring issue.

Analysis

We need to have a conversation about how devalued the quarterback and tight end positions have become this season, and how neither position should be a major priority unless you can get one of the four top-end tight ends.

At quarterback, 15 players are averaging between 17.7 fantasy points (C.J. Stroud) and 23.9 fantasy points (Justin Herbert) per week. Obviously, a difference of 6.2 points each week in fantasy is extremely valuable, but that difference comes at the fringes. Ten players are averaging between Stroud's 17.7 fantasy points per week and the 19.8 fantasy points per week that Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes are offering. That 2.1-point differential is far less impactful.

The point is, there's not a major difference between a mid-tier QB1 and QB2 at the moment, which means you shouldn't be valuing them all that highly. If you aren't chasing a quarterback averaging over 20 points per week—that's only Herbert, Josh Allen (23.7), Jalen Hurts (21.8), Justin Fields (20.8) and Kirk Cousins (20.8) at the moment—you don't need to be paying high prices, or anything close to a high price.

Oh, and with Justin Jefferson injured, Cousins should get devalued on the trade market as well. So again, for the people in the back: Do not overpay for quarterbacks this season!

At tight end, it's an opposite issue—there aren't many safe choices. Only eight players are averaging double-digit points, with Travis Kelce (16.8), Mark Andrews (15.1), Sam LaPorta (14.4) and T.J. Hockenson (13.1) standing above the pack (Hockenson should seen even more usage with Jefferson hurt).

If you don't have a top-eight option, don't pay a premium. Ten players are averaging between 7.5 and 9.5 fantasy points per week. Maybe you'll pay for Kyle Pitts or Dallas Goedert's upside, which is why both are on the chart. Beyond that, if you aren't trading for a top-eight tight end, you shouldn't be trading for one at all unless the asking price is very, very low.

At wide receiver, a few players are very intriguing buy-low candidates. Jordan Addison is in line to see his role increase significantly with Justin Jefferson injured. He's not going to put up Jefferson-esque numbers, because Jefferson is uniquely special. But he's got major WR2 upside until the superstar returns.

Second-year wideouts Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave have gotten off to quiet starts—and with Wilson, the quarterback play of Zach Wilson remains a major concern—but both are too talented to offer such a muted impact for the rest of the season. The positive is that each continue to see solid targets, both receiving 43 at this point, tied for 11th among wideouts.

Better numbers are coming.

Finally, CeeDee Lamb. In Mike McCarthy's new-and-definitely-not-improved offensive scheme after parting ways with former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, Lamb has only been targeted 35 times and has only found the end zone once. That's seven targets a game, and pales in comparison to the 156 targets he saw last season, which was fourth among wideouts and gave him an average of nine per game.

McCarthy has acknowledged that he wants to get Lamb a healthy allotment of targets and touches, and given that the Cowboys have lost two out of their last three games, adjustments are needed. Expect one of them to be a heavier workload for Lamb, who was one of only five wideouts to exceed 300 fantasy points last season in PPR formats.

Garrett Wilson Asks Fans 'to Stick with Us' amid Jets' Losing Without Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets star Garrett Wilson preached a level of patience to the team's fans amid a 1-2 start to the 2023 NFL season.

"I would just tell them to stick with us," he said on PFT PM in reference to the offense's performance specifically. "No one wants this more than us. We're working every single day to make sure that y'all have a lot to root for on Sundays."

Wilson added that Aaron Rodgers' Achilles injury in Week 1 "was a big adjustment."

"We're still figuring it out offensively, and it's not just for us to put one dude on the dart board, you know," he said. "You got to put that whole offense on the dart board because none of us are playing to our standard right now."

Zach Wilson performed capably after taking over for Rodgers in the opening game. He went 14-of-21 for 140 yards, one touchdown and an interception in a 22-16 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Over the past two weeks, though, the young quarterback has shown little in the way of development from last year. He completed 47.6 percent of his passes for 327 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in losses to the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.

ESPN's Rich Cimini reported Tuesday on the Flight Deck podcast that head coach Robert Saleh is "coming off as a Zach apologist" among some Jets players.

"This defense knows that if any other player was performing his job the way Wilson is performing his, that player would be benched," Cimini said. "Trust me, there's tension in that locker room."

Maybe Zach Wilson is the single biggest source of the offense's problems, but he's far from the only person to blame. The preseason concerns about the offensive line were well founded. Dalvin Cook has run for 58 yards on 25 carries, while Breece Hall ran for 27 yards over the last two games.

For now, it doesn't look like Saleh is prepared to do anything drastic.

New York finally added to its quarterback room but in doing so seemed to signal Zach Wilson isn't going anywhere as the starter. While the newly signed Trevor Siemian brings a lot more experience, he isn't much of an upgrade.

Should the Jets offense fail to improve, Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas might have to contemplate more measures because the fan outcry will only continue to grow.

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Praises Patriots' Christian Gonzalez for 'Technique and Speed'

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had high praise for New England Patriots rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez after Miami's 24-17 win on Sunday.

"I was able to go against the rookie, he's real good," Hill said on his It Needed To Be Said podcast on Wednesday (h/t Evan Lazar of Patriots.com). "Very lengthy corner, had some real good technique and speed about him. They got some real good pieces over there in New England, man. So shoutout to New England."

Gonzalez, a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft (No. 17 overall), had a strong performance against Miami's high-octane passing attack:

He's already been thrown into the NFL's wideout cauldron, facing Philadelphia's A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in Week 1 and Hill and Jaylen Waddle in Week 2. He'll have no shortage of challenging matchups in the AFC East, with players like Hill, Waddle, Buffalo's Stefon Diggs and New York's Garrett Wilson six times per season.

He's certainly off to a strong start.

Garrett Wilson: 'Unacceptable' for Jets to Lose 14 Straight Games to Patriots

Sep 19, 2023
EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY - SEPTEMBER 11: Garrett Wilson #17 of the New York Jets runs a route during a game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium on September 11, 2023 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Michael Owens/Getty Images)

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson knows what's at stake in Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

Gang Green has lost 14 straight games to the Patriots, a feat Wilson called "unacceptable" as the team prepares for a matchup that could see it drop its 15th straight to Bill Belichick's squad.

"It's time that things change around here," Wilson said Tuesday on ESPN New York's Bart & Hahn show (h/t ESPN's Rich Cimini). "I don't like talking about it too much, but this is one of the first steps. Fourteen straight is unacceptable. That's unacceptable. I'm 0-2 against them. That's unacceptable."

The stranglehold the Patriots have had on the Jets dates back to November 2016. New York hasn't beaten New England since a 26-20 overtime victory in December 2015.

Even including that win, the Patriots have dominated the Jets in each of the last two decades, posting a 23-4 record against New York dating back to 2010.

The Patriots would tie their longest win streak against a single opponent in franchise history with a win against the Jets on Sunday.

A victory would also tie the NFL's longest active winning streak against one opponent. The Kansas City Chiefs have won 15 straight against the Denver Broncos dating back to 2015.

"It'll fuel me throughout the week, honestly," Wilson said.

Twenty wins is the longest win streak against a single opponent in NFL history, with the Miami Dolphins posting 20 consecutive wins against the Buffalo Bills from 1970-79.

The Patriots are off to a rough start to the 2023 season, suffering losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium to drop to 0-2. While the offense looks improved from 2022, New England's offensive line has abysmal and it remains clear that the franchise still lacks a No. 1 wide receiver.

The Jets are 1-1 on the season, though things aren't expected to get any better after Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1. Zach Wilson started a Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, and New York was blown out 30-10.

Zach Wilson has an incredibly poor history against the Patriots, posting an 0-4 record and tossing just two touchdowns compared to seven interceptions against the franchise.

Garrett Wilson, on the other hand, has been solid, catching eight passes for 127 yards on 10 targets in two games against New England.

Sunday's matchup between the two AFC East rivals will tell us a lot about each franchise, for better or worse.
