Predicting How WWE Turns Paul Heyman on Roman Reigns

No matter what fans might argue to the contrary, it has always seemed that Paul Heyman will betray Roman Reigns.

It's a betrayal that could happen at Survivor Series, or at least be hinted at there.

The reasoning is simple—that's just how Heyman is. He's a snake. A Hall of Fame snake and perhaps the best on the mic of all time in the sport, but a snake with his own self-interests at the forefront of his mind.

One can just look at history. Heyman was the guy backing Brock Lesnar all those years ago, only to betray him at an opportune time via Big Show. He betrayed CM Punk, too. He had his reasons, but one can boil it down to him jumping to the next big thing when possible.

Reigns is next on the list.

This time, Heyman would have some pretty good justification for it, too. All he has to do is argue his Tribal Chief never returned to save him from the likes of Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline offshoot that bullied him consistently in the wake of WrestleMania.

WWE first teased this sort of idea when Reigns attempted to call Heyman, only for the number to stop working. That was after he had already mended fences with the likes of Jey Uso and even Sami Zayn, so why not Heyman next, right?

But then Heyman made his big return, bringing CM Punk with him to save the day as the fifth and final member of Reigns' team against Sikoa's Bloodline at Survivor Series.

Along with that came a not-so-subtle color-based hint at Heyman's allegiance, as he broke tradition and wore a red that just so happens to look like what Sikoa wears:

The inclusion of Punk doesn't help. While it was easy to think that Heyman would eventually jump to the next big thing like a Bron Breakker, the Best in the World's return to WWE after so many years is a pretty fun horse for Heyman to back, too.

In Punk, Heyman has an old friend who can chat on the mic with anyone and has proven he can beat literally anyone on the planet in the ring itself. If one had to guess, the soft arrangement might be that Heyman betrays Reigns and ruins his plans and Punk does it because of the long-running history he has with the Tribal Chief.

Maybe Punk's bought in because Heyman can help politic him into a top title match, too. Of course, his involvement in helping Reigns will make a guy named Seth Rollins pretty mad, too, as a nice bonus.

If that's the case, it could actually be Heyman targeting Solo, not someone like Breakker. Sure, they power-bombed him through a table and the like, but power is power. He can see the faction Sikoa has assembled and that faction will understand what Heyman can do for them as a manager, too.

It certainly makes sense from a booking perspective, too. Reigns doesn't need someone to hold a microphone for him, especially not if he's staying this babyface-tweener type who fans adore. But Sikoa needs all the help he can get on the mic—and some cheating wins, too.

This would extend Reigns' involvement in a feud with Sikoa's Bloodline far beyond Survivor Series, helping to keep him away from top title scenes. Ultimately, the end goal could be dragging feet just long enough to get a feud with The Rock up and running for a big WrestleMania match next year.

For now, perhaps this is merely hinted and not made explicit. Maybe Heyman keeps things vague before a full turn at a later date. But one can see it logically leading to a mini-feud where Punk clashes with Reigns a few times before the former moves on to Rollins and the latter to The Rock for 'Mania season.

What's nice here is that so much care and attention has gone into the story and character motivations over the years that pretty much anything would make sense. And in Heyman's case, it's a pattern of behavior spanning decades.

If Heyman does turn on Reigns, look for it, or the first big seeds of betrayal, to happen at Survivor Series. Not only does it make sense, and the timing feels right, but it's just one more way to get the crown in Reigns' corner and another obstacle for him to overcome on his path to redemption.

Roman Reigns Talks WWE Retirement; Latest Rumors on CM Punk Backstage, Hardy Boys

Bleacher Report catches you up on the latest news from the WWE Universe.

Reigns Discusses Wrestling Future, Possible Retirement

Amid one of the greatest and most successful runs in WWE history, Roman Reigns gave his thoughts this week on retirement and when he anticipates hanging up his wrestling boots for good.

Speaking to Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), Reigns discussed the physical toll wrestling takes on his body and admitted that he sometimes has doubts about how much longer he can do it:

"Well, I guess it depends on what day you ask me and how I'm feeling that day, you know? Because the real answer right there—yeah, the body—sometimes the body feels like a train wreck. I can vividly picture Sheamus hitting me with a chair somewhere over in Europe, you know what I mean? I've done that dance with a lot of guys all over the world, year after year.

"Sometimes, no matter what you do, you just wake up sore, and your body hurts. On those days, I'll tell you, man, I think to myself, 'What's going on here? Is everything good? Maybe we could stop.'"

The 39-year-old Reigns signed a developmental contract with WWE back in 2010 and has been a key part of the main roster since 2012.

He gradually established himself as the face of the company, and since turning heel, aligning himself with Paul Heyman and creating The Bloodline in 2020, he has staked his claim to being one of the all-time greats as well.

Reigns would be a first-ballot WWE Hall of Famer if he retired today, but he noted that there is still plenty left for him to accomplish, which is what keeps him coming back and makes him want to continue wrestling for as long as he can:

"But then, like you said, there's just so much meat left on the bone. There's so much I'm learning—not only about myself, but about the performance in general. How to manipulate them, how to get better at them, how to control the crowd better—all these different things. There are so many stories left to tell, and with new family members coming in, it's one of those deals where, as long as I can… you know how athletes say, 'As long as you can continue to practice…'

"As long as I feel good enough to practice, then I can play. And as long as I feel good enough to train and keep myself physically in shape to go out there and fall down—because that's the thing, it's the falling down—then I'm good. If we could figure out how to stop falling down and taking bumps, man, we'd bring in the double and just run Hollywood, you know?

"But there's just something about being out there in the middle of the storm, that simultaneous live reaction. Making movies is very cool, but there's something about having the crowd right there, in the palm of your hand, that you just can't emulate. You can't duplicate it. That's WWE."

Reigns has gotten to a point where he is such a big star that he can dictate his schedule to a large degree and only has to wrestle on a part-time basis.

His character and storyline have also been so compelling that the majority of his appearances are angle-based rather than physical, which is another thing that can help extend his shelf life.

Physicality will be unavoidable on Saturday, though, when Reigns leads a team comprised of Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn and CM Punk against the new Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Punk Draws Rave Reviews for Backstage Work in WWE

Despite leaving WWE on poor terms back in 2014, CM Punk's second run with the company has reportedly been exemplary for all parties involved.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Cultaholic), sources indicate that Punk has been a "model citizen" backstage with WWE since returning to the company last year at Survivor Series.

Punk is reportedly also said to have been "quite helpful," which comes as little surprise since he has spent a significant amount of time at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, working with WWE's stars of the future.

The 46-year-old Punk left WWE over a decade ago and later publicly aired his grievances with the company in a now-famous podcast interview with his then-friend Colt Cabana.

Punk remained out of pro wrestling for the next several years, but he made his return with AEW in 2021, creating one of the biggest feel-good moments in the history of the business.

While Punk had some great moments in AEW, his run was marred by injuries and disputes with co-workers, including a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In 2023.

Punk was released from AEW shortly thereafter, and despite doubt that he would ever return to WWE, he signed with the company last November and made a surprise return in his hometown of Chicago.

Every indication since then is that Punk has been happy, helpful and a major asset to WWE as one of its most popular stars.

Things will come full circle for Punk at Survivor Series on Saturday when he competes in a WarGames match one year after his return.

Hardys Sign New Contracts with TNA

Matt and Jeff Hardy are in TNA to stay for the foreseeable future after both of them returned to the company earlier this year.

TNA announced Wednesday that it re-signed the Hardys, and Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News) later reported that the deals were one year in length.

Fightful also reported that as part of the contracts, Matt and Jeff are permitted to take bookings with independent wrestling companies as well.

Matt, who previously worked in TNA in 2011 and from 2014 to 2017, returned to the promotion in April after his AEW contract expired. Jeff arrived shortly thereafter in June once his AEW deal was up as well.

After enjoying enormous success in TNA, Matt and Jeff returned to WWE in 2017, and they eventually made their way to AEW.

While there were huge expectations for their AEW run, it was derailed by Jeff getting arrested for a DUI in June 2022. Jeff was off television for 10 months before returning, but the Hardys never quite found their footing after that.

Matt and Jeff have seemingly been a perfect fit in TNA, though, and they are back atop the tag team division, beating The System and ABC in a Full Metal Mayhem match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships last month.

Now, the Hardys can continue to lead the tag team ranks in TNA, and it stands to reason that the door is open for them to make some WWE appearances as well since TNA and WWE have a working relationship.

Top Survivor Series 2024 Matches to Watch

Men's WarGames Match

Another chapter will be written in one of the most compelling storylines in WWE history at Survivor Series when the current and original iterations of The Bloodline clash in a WarGames match.

Solo Sikoa built The Bloodline in his own vision while Roman Reigns was away, bringing in the likes of Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, plus he recently added Bronson Reed to the ranks for WarGames.

Reigns had to put in a lot of work in order to build a team capable of taking down The Bloodline, and it started with regaining the trust of his cousins, Jey and Jimmy Uso.

Once he did that, a reunion with Sami Zayn was in the cards, bringing The Honorary Uce back into the fold.

It was unclear who would be the fifth man for the OG Bloodline, but the WWE Universe was shocked when Paul Heyman made his return on Friday after months away and brought one of the original Heyman Guys with him in CM Punk.

There is no telling whether Punk will be able to co-exist with Reigns and Co., but his involvement adds even more intrigue to what was already set to be a highly entertaining match with plenty of fan investment.

Women's WarGames Match

Although no contest on the Survivor Series card will be able to overshadow the men's WarGames match due to the star power and storyline elements involved, the women's iteration could prove to be the best bout on the card from an in-ring perspective.

Rhea Ripley's recent return and the continuation of her feud with Liv Morgan is the basis for the women's WarGames match, but they will be surrounded by several other elite talents as well.

The babyface team is especially stacked with the likes of Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky and Bayley joining Ripley, but Morgan has a strong group in her own right with Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae and WWE women's champion Nia Jax.

Among the 10 participants, there figures to be a significant variance in styles, which is ideal when it comes to putting on a unique and entertaining WarGames contest.

The likes of Sky, Naomi and Stratton figure to come up with some jaw-dropping high spots, while the strength of Ripley, Belair, Jax and Rodriguez will also play well within the environment.

All of that points toward what could be the best women's WarGames match WWE has delivered.

Gunther vs. Damian Priest

Although the WarGames contests will be huge attractions at Survivor Series, the spotlight in terms of singles matches will rest firmly on world heavyweight champion Gunther and challenger Damian Priest.

WWE has cobbled a well-told story leading up to the PLE with Gunther struggling to achieve the level of dominance he reached as intercontinental champion and Priest not hesitating to call it out.

Priest also made mention of the fact that Gunther needed interference to beat him for the title at SummerSlam in the first place, casting further doubt on whether The Ring General can defeat him in a fair fight.

On top of all that, Gunther and The Archer of Infamy proved to have strong in-ring chemistry during their previous encounter at SummerSlam, which suggests they have a chance to come through with one of the best matches on the Survivor Series card.

Ultimately, Gunther is expected to retain, and if he goes back to his roots with a vintage performance reminiscent of what he was doing while he was the IC titleholder, it should put him back on track as world heavyweight champ.

CM Punk has been announced as the fifth member of the OG Bloodline's team for Survivor Series: WarGames.

Paul Heyman made his return to WWE programming Friday during SmackDown and revealed the news.

CM Punk strolled past Heyman, joined his new teammates in the ring and then started a brawl with the The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) and Bronson Reed.

The OG Bloodline, featuring Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso and Sami Zayn, got the better of this fight.

After the wreckage was cleared, Roman Reigns and Punk stared each other down. However, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa got back into the ring to attack them both from behind.

But CM Punk hit Tama Tonga with Go To Sleep, and Reigns speared Tonga Loa to end that threat.

The staredown then continued, with Reigns seemingly confused as to why Punk was even there, let alone teaming with them. The show faded away with a smiling Heyman standing ringside in the middle of Reigns and Punk.

Obviously, some questions need to be answered after that dramatic reveal. There's still a week left before WarGames, so perhaps will get some more clarity on the situation beforehand.

Regardless, Saturday, Nov. 30 should feature an electric show from Vancouver with the OG Bloodline and The Bloodline squaring off.

Punk Mentions The Rock, Reigns, Rhodes as Potential Opponents

Several potential dream matches and renewed rivalries could be on the table for CM Punk during his second run with WWE, and he mentioned some huge names when asked this week who he would like to face.

Speaking to Peter Rosenberg of Rosenberg Wrestling at ComplexCon (h/t H Jenkins of Ringside News), Punk ran down some of the biggest stars in WWE as possible opponents moving forward, including a former rival in The Rock:

"Then you talk about the money stuff, you talk about the marquee stuff. You talk about what is the match you could see main eventing a pay-per-view. That's what gets my juices flowing. I think whenever myself and Roman Reigns are face-to-face on television, I think that's gonna be a moment. The table is set for myself and Cody [Rhodes]. You also never know when The Rock is gonna come back."

Punk also mentioned Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Chad Gable and Bronson Reed as Superstars he would like to face in smaller-scale matches than the ones The Rock, Reigns and Rhodes would present.

Going back to his first run with WWE, Punk has history with The Rock, Reigns and Rhodes, but his storyline with The Rock is undoubtedly among the best remembered aspects of his tenure.

Leading up to Royal Rumble 2013, Punk and The Rock engaged in some legendary promos, which built excitement and anticipation for their eventual match. The Rock ended up beating Punk, ending his 434-day run as WWE champion.

The Rock went on to face John Cena at the ensuing WrestleMania 29, so Punk and Rock never had the opportunity to run it back.

Now, The Rock is a member of TKO's board of directors, and he returned to the ring earlier this year at WrestleMania 40, teaming with Reigns to beat Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

That suggests there could be more matches in The Rock's future, and aside from clashes with Reigns and Rhodes, there would be none bigger than a rematch with Punk, so it is a blockbuster bout that figures to at least be considered in the years to come.

The Rock Reportedly Preparing for WWE Return

After making a surprise appearance last month at Bad Blood, there are reportedly plans in place for The Rock to do even more with WWE in the future.

According to WrestleVotes (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), The Rock is "gonna be around more," and when the time comes for him to return again, he won't be specifically tied to Raw or SmackDown.

That revelation comes as little surprise since it behooves WWE to be flexible when it comes The Rock due to the fact that he has a busy outside schedule he has to work around.

When The Rock was involved with the build toward WrestleMania 40 earlier this year, he made appearances on both Raw and SmackDown, and it helped boost the product as a whole.

Prior to WrestleMania 40, The Rock turned heel and began referring to himself as The Final Boss. He aligned himself with Reigns, and they beat Rhodes and Rollins on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

The Rock disappeared from WWE programming after WrestleMania, but not before making it clear to Rhodes that he was in his crosshairs.

After Reigns and Rhodes reluctantly teamed up to beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood, The Rock returned, and although he didn't say anything, he made a throat-slashing motion.

That led to a ton of speculation about what is next for The Rock, but it seems likely his next move will involve both Rhodes and Reigns in some way.

It isn't yet clear when The Rock will resurface or what his first order of business would be, but an appearance on the first Raw on Netflix on Jan. 6 would make sense due to WWE undoubtedly having a desire to make it a star-studded event.

WWE Reportedly Yet to Announce Major WWE ID Signing

WWE has announced several signings to its WWE ID program in recent weeks, but the company reportedly isn't done yet with the reveals.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Jenkins), WWE has more WWE ID signings to announce, including one that is "more high-profile" than the rest.

Last month, WWE announced the implementation of WWE ID, which is a program meant to help WWE identify talent and to provide independent wrestlers with a path to WWE.

As part of the announcement, WWE revealed that five wrestling schools were given an official WWE ID designation in Reality of Wrestling, Nightmare Factory, Black and Brave Academy, Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center and KnokX Pro Academy.

Since then, WWE has announced several WWE ID prospects, including Sean Legacy, Cappuccino Jones, Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan, Marcus Mathers, Sam Holloway, Jack Summit, Zara Zakher, It's Gal, Ice Williams, Aaron Rourke, Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor.

While being a WWE ID wrestler doesn't necessarily guarantee a WWE contract, it does mean that a wrestler is firmly on WWE's radar and has a leg up on other independent wrestlers in that regard.

The WWE ID additions have ranged from relative novices well-known independent stars, and it sounds as though WWE has at least one major signing up its sleeve that could be the headliner of the first WWE ID class.

Booking John Cena's Perfect Opponent For His Final WWE Royal Rumble

The John Cena 2025 retirement tour has several pitstops it must take and a handful of must-have feuds and matches, too.

One of those stops, obviously, is the Royal Rumble. And it should go without saying, but one of those opponents must be a guy by the name of CM Punk.

So why not combine the two to get this retirement tour started right?

If the two aren't going to do it at a WrestleMania (which they probably won't), the timing of such a historic reconnection would make all sorts of sense for early 2025.

Cena is, after all, claiming that is will be the last time he competes at a Royal Rumble. Unless he's going for a top title or in the Rumble match itself, his schedule looks pretty free right now.

Likewise, Punk is sort of in between feuds right now after what was, at least presumably, the end of his spiteful battle with Drew McIntyre.

Neither guy really figures to be involved in chasing main roster titles so soon. Cody Rhodes's belt around his waist will likely stay there and mostly center on Roman Reigns, The Rock, and the Bloodline through WrestleMania. Gunther's top title probably will not come off his waist, if at all, until Mania.

There is simply a lull in the schedule right now, too. Punk could use a one-off feud over these winter months before 'Mania season begins. It's hard to imagine anything but him really getting into another bitter, real-life blending feud with Seth Rollins before they go on to main event Night 1 of 'Mania.

And for Cena, he's got all year, and especially toward the end, to put over young talent and eventually go out on his back. A 'Mania feud with the likes of say, Randy Orton, would make loads of sense.

There will be plenty of time for Cena on standard broadcasts and even after 'Mania to have wished-for encounters with the likes of Austin Theory, Bronn Breakker and others. Right now, though, it's about ramping things up for historic feuds with 'Mania season on approach.

So, a now-until-Rumble war of words and brief altercation between Punk and Cena?

Yes, please.

This doesn't have to be difficult, either. Have the two old foes brush shoulders and Punk hit him with a variation of it's funny I'm here and you're not to plant the seeds and away we go.

The majority of pro wrestling fans don't need schooled on the history between these two. Way back when, WWE was in the throes of the Super Cena era when Punk rose to stardom, paving the way for WWE to forcibly change its ways in regards to indie guys who didn't necessarily fit that Cena mold.

Then, the historic feud that culimated in Punk winning the title at Money in the Bank, blending in his real-life possible departure due to a lack of a contract and eventual return as the Cult of Personality.

How things have changed since then, right? Punk really did leave, was gone from the sport entirely for far too long, resurfaced in AEW, left and returned. Cena faded with age, understandably, then became one of the better wrestlers-turned-actors in Hollywood this side of Batista.

To say the dynamic is interesting and the two would have some pretty compelling things to say to each other in front of audiences would be a gross understatement.

It's a no-lose situation, especially during these quiet winter months, which resemble something of an "offseason" for WWE. The sheer unpredictability of it would make weekly programming must-see material and even spice up special events like, say, the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event in mid-December.

This type of prolonged teaser before a match at Royal Rumble would give Cena plenty of runway to get back in ring shape for the encounter, too. And even then, it doesn't need to be an all-timer of a physical bout, not when their past encounters were historical in nature for the sheer storytelling via elite in-ring psychology from both.

As the rumble looms closer, many ideas and feuds will enter the discourse in the coming weeks and months. But Punk vs. Cena is inevitable and doesn't have any true competition, especially with the calendar and surrounding stories and feuds in the company currently slotted on what should be a historic 2025 pro wrestling calendar.

WWE Rumors on Becky Lynch's Return, CM Punk's Dog Larry, Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens

Bleacher Report catches you up on the latest news from the WWE Universe.

Lynch Potentially Nearing WWE Return?

Becky Lynch has not been seen on WWE programming since May, but there is reportedly some talk within the company that her hiatus may soon come to an end.

According to PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson, both WWE and Netflix sources have recently said that they expect Lynch back in the fold by the time Raw moves from USA Network to Netflix in January.

Lynch dropped the Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring on May 25 and then lost a steel cage rematch to Morgan on the May 27 episode of Raw.

That proved to be The Man's final match before her WWE contract expired on June 1, per Fightful Select (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News).

Although Lynch has technically been a free agent since June, it has always felt likely that she would return to WWE at some point rather than going elsewhere due in part to the fact that her husband, Seth Rollins, is still among WWE's top stars.

Johnson suggested that Lynch's WWE return could possibly become public knowledge as soon as Sunday which is when she is scheduled to take part in a sit-down discussion at NYA East.

The description of the event notes that Lynch will talk about her memoir, along with possibly providing "a glimpse at what The Man has in store for us next."

Even if Lynch doesn't outright announce her WWE return, dropping a hint would add to the hype that is already surrounding Raw's move to Netflix.

It stands to reason that WWE would want as many top stars available as possible for a pivotal moment in company history, and given her status as a WrestleMania main eventer and seven-time women's champion, it can be argued that there is no more influential female Superstar in WWE history than Becky.

CM Punk's Dog, Larry, Reportedly Doing Huge Merch Sales

It turns out that CM Punk and his wife, former WWE Superstar AJ Lee, aren't the only hugely popular members of the Brooks family in the professional wrestling space.

Punk's dog, Larry, was recently featured as part of some WWE merchandise, and the returns on that decision have reportedly been hugely successful for the company.

According to WrestleVotes (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE is "absolutely thrilled" with how the Larry merchandise has sold, as it has beaten out the sales of several current WWE Superstars and WWE legends.

WWE has been selling a Larry plush and a shirt featuring his likeness, and the items have done so well that more Larry items are reportedly in the works for when Punk returns to television.

On Thursday, Punk posted a photo of Larry next to a stack of cash on his Instagram story, along with the caption, "King."

The post clearly seemed to be a nod toward Larry's impressive merch sales, which is an area Punk himself has excelled in over the course of his career.

Punk has been on hiatus from WWE programming since after beating Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood last month, but it is likely only a matter of time before he is back in the fold and involved in a top program.

With both Survivor Series and Royal Rumble on the horizon, Punk should be on TV and getting primed for WrestleMania season in the near future.

Rhodes vs. Owens Reportedly Planned for Saturday Night's Main Event

The heated rivalry between WWE champion Cody Rhodes and former friend Kevin Owens is reportedly set to come to a head at an upcoming special event.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestleTalk), the current plan calls for Rhodes to defend his title against Owens in the main event of the Dec. 14 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

From the mid-1980s into the early-1990s, Saturday Night's Main Event was a staple for WWE, as many of the company's biggest matches and angles played out on the NBC specials.

After a brief revival in the mid-2000s, SNME went by the wayside again, but the return of the iconic show was made official when WWE struck a deal with NBCUniversal for SmackDown to air on USA Network beginning in 2025.

The first Saturday Night's Main Event of that agreement will take place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, and it sounds as though a massive WWE Championship match will be the headliner.

Rhodes and Owens were once the best of friends fighting alongside each other against The Bloodline, but after Rhodes teamed with Roman Reigns against The Bloodline at Bad Blood, KO turned heel and attacked him in the parking lot.

Given his relationship with both men, Randy Orton got involved, which resulted in The Viper becoming a target of Owens as well.

After they brawled at Crown Jewel, Owens put Orton on the shelf last week at SmackDown when he hit Orton with a piledriver. Orton had to be transported to the hospital, and Rhodes went with him in the ambulance.

Rhodes now has no choice other than to engage with Owens, and all signs point toward that leading to a heated battle over the WWE title.
