Will Levis Trade Hasn't Been Discussed With Teams Despite NFL Rumors, Titans Exec Says

Tennessee Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker confirmed that the team hasn't held any trade conversations regarding quarterback Will Levis.
"That's a false report," Brinker said on Sunday, via Jim Wyatt of the team's official website. "We have not contacted anybody, and nobody has contacted us, about Will Levis. I don't think anything has changed from the time somebody asked me about this a month ago."
"What's the plan with Will Levis? The plan with Will Levis is he has a chance to compete for a starting job next year," he added. "And that's like every player that's on our roster. It's no different for Will. I see him in our facility, he's working hard. Everybody knows he's a great kid, he's a hard worker and he's going to give it everything he has. And we're going to continue to work with Will Levis."
NFL insider Josina Anderson reported on March 18 that Levis' name had come up "in recent preliminary trade inquiries or internal discussions."
The 25-year-old still has two more years remaining on his rookie contract.
Tennessee selected Levis with a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, showing encouraging signs as a rookie before struggling throughout his 2024 campaign.
In 12 starts last season, he completed 63.1 percent of his throws for 2,091 yards and 13 touchdowns compared to 12 interceptions. The Titans owned a 2-10 record in Levis' 12 appearances and he was benched during a Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tennessee finished its 2024 season at 3-14, securing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft.
Miami quarterback Cam Ward could be the Titans' choice at No. 1, with Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reporting that they "grew enamored" with Ward in a predraft meeting.
Tennessee was also projected to select Ward in the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
Even if the Titans draft the Hurricanes' signal-caller, they may want to keep Levis on their roster in case Ward isn't ready to start right away.
"For us heading into this camp, we at least want three quarterbacks, preferably four if we can," Brinker said, via Wyatt. "Depending on what we do in this draft, if we go quarterback (we'd have four), or we go another position, at least we'd have three quarterbacks."
Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle are the only other quarterbacks on Tennessee's roster, although they own a record of just 2-13 in 15 combined starts throughout their respective careers.
Levis' long-term future on the Titans is murky, but the front office doesn't appear to be actively exploring trades for him.
