The NBA released the rosters for the 2025 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Tuesday, featuring San Francisco Giants legend Barry Bonds and San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice as the coaches.

Since NBA All-Star Weekend is being held in San Francisco and the NBA All-Star Game will be played at the Golden State Warriors' Chase Center, it comes as little surprise that there is plenty of Bay Area representation in the All-Star Celebrity Game.

Some of the biggest names from the sports world include former 49ers wideout and Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, WWE Superstar Bayley, former Warriors players Baron Davis and Matt Barnes, and WNBA stars Allisha Gray and Kayla Thornton.

Also featured in the game are streamer Kai Cenat, comedian Druski and musician Shaboozey.

Eagles Rumors: Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown Drama Not Seen as McNabb-Owens Situation

The public spat between Philadelphia Eagles stars Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown conjured up memories of another famous quarterback-receiver dispute, but it sounds like the team isn't concerned about things getting worse.

John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported that the "few people" he spoke to with the Eagles about the apparent conflict between Hurts and Brown "believe it is not the big deal it is being made out to be" and "it is not a [Donovan McNabb-Terrell Owens] situation."

It appeared that tensions had reached a boiling point after Hurts was limited to 108 passing yards in Sunday's 22-16 win over the Carolina Panthers. When asked after the game what the team needs to improve on, Brown, who was seen slamming his helmet to the ground in frustration at one point during the game, simply answered, "Passing."

Brown's response prompted a wave of speculation that his relationship with Hurts had deteriorated. Eagles edge rusher Brandon Graham didn't help matters when he declared on his show that the two of them "were friends before this, but things have changed."

Graham ultimately retracted his statement and apologized for commenting on something he wasn't fully informed about, but that didn't stop the questions about whether Hurts and Brown were headed toward a divorce the same way McNabb and Owens did after their rocky relationship came to an end in just two years. McNabb and Owens both gave their thoughts on the matter on Tuesday:

However, Clark added that Brown's comments didn't create strife within the Eagles and instead could galvanize the team.

"Many Eagles players were not happy with the passing attack on Sunday and agree with AJ that the passing game needs to improve. Jalen even said that. One person told me he believes this will make the team closer," Clark stated.

Despite the appearance of internal turmoil, the Eagles are riding a wave of success and will be seeking their 10th straight win when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Terrell Owens Calls Out Donovan McNabb for Super Bowl Loss amid Hurts, Brown Drama

There may be quarterback and wide receiver drama in Philadelphia, so it seems only fitting that Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb are weighing in on the situation.

After McNabb discussed the potential brewing situation between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown, Owens took to social media and essentially blamed the quarterback for the team's Super Bowl loss to end the 2004 campaign while suggesting his former teammate should have followed his own advice:

The Philadelphia Eagles were dominant during the 2004 season and went 13-3 before defeating the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons in the playoffs to reach the Super Bowl.

However, they lost that Super Bowl to the New England Patriots even though Owens had nine catches for 122 yards. McNabb threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns, although he also had three interceptions in the loss.

Owens and McNabb were not exactly the best of friends, and the receiver has publicly called out the quarterback multiple times since both have been retired with this as the latest example.

Of more concern for the Eagles and their fans is the relationship between Brown and Hurts.

Hurts threw for 108 yards during Sunday's surprisingly close 22-16 win over the Carolina Panthers, and Brown told reporters that "passing" is the thing the offense needs to improve the most moving into the season's stretch run.

Veteran defensive end Brandon Graham discussed the situation as well:

"The person that's complaining needs to be accountable, and I'm just being honest, and he knows this," Graham said. "I don't know the whole story, but I know that [Hurts] is trying and [Brown] could be better with how he responds to things," Graham said. "They were friends before this, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens. But, it's the business side that we have to make sure that we don't let the personal get in the way of the business, and that's what we gotta do better right now."

Brown finished Sunday's game with four catches for 43 yards and zero touchdowns. He's scored just one touchdown in his last seven combined games and admitted to being frustrated after the win over the Panthers.

Notably, he slammed his helmet on the ground after a three-and-out and didn't exactly mince words after the game.

It is somewhat surprising to see this situation developing for the Eagles, as they have won nine games in a row and sit in first place in the NFC East at 11-2. They are just one game behind the Detroit Lions in the race for the NFC's No. 1 seed and could clinch a first-round bye if they continue to win at such a rate.

But the relationship between Hurts and Brown might need to be fixed if they are going to lift the Lombardi Trophy.

After recovering from a hand injury, wide receiver Terique Owens is set to continue his NFL career.

Owens, the son of Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, agreed to re-sign with the San Francisco 49ers and will join their practice squad, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The undrafted free agent spent part of the offseason with the 49ers before being waived following his injury.

Garafolo reported on Aug. 7 that Owens suffered a small fracture in his right hand that was expected to sideline him for five to seven weeks.

Prior to his injury, the 24-year-old showed flashes of his famous lineage with a strong start to training camp that included catching touchdown passes in one-on-one and 11-on-11 drills.

Owens began his collegiate career in 2018 at Contra Costa College and transferred to Florida Atlantic in 2020. After appearing in just four games that year as a redshirt sophomore, he transferred once again to Missouri State, where he spent the next three seasons and recorded 46 catches for 765 yards and four touchdowns across 27 games.

The 49ers were among the teams that attended Owens' pro day in March, where he posted a 4.51 40-yard dash. He signed with San Francisco after the 2024 NFL draft, joining the franchise with which his father began his legendary career in 1996.

Terrell Owens spent eight seasons with the 49ers and racked up 592 receptions, 8,572 receiving yards and 81 touchdowns, ranking second in franchise history in all three categories behind the legendary Jerry Rice. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 and San Francisco's team Hall of Fame the following year.

The 49ers (2-2) will be hosting the Arizona Cardinals (1-3) in an NFC West matchup on Sunday.

Terrell Owens: Tom Brady 'Ignored Me' When I Offered to Replace Antonio Brown on Bucs

Hall of Famer Terrell Owens wasn't happy to get the shoulder from Tom Brady when he lobbied to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and replace Antonio Brown.

During an appearance on The Bubba Dub Show, Owens said he used Randy Moss as an intermediary in an attempt to reach Brady late into the 2021 season.

"Tom Brady ignored me, bro," he said at the 39:25 mark. "... At that point in time, it was at the end of the season. I didn't need to play a full season. They just needed somebody to fill some holes with AB leaving at the receiver position."

Owens said he was willing to be used primarily on third downs and inside the red zone. The six-time Pro Bowler also went so far to say the Bucs might've won the Super Bowl that year if they had signed him.

Tampa Bay was left scrambling for help at receiver heading into the playoffs after Brown famously walked off the field during a Week 17 win over the New York Jets. Chris Godwin had suffered a torn ACL before that.

Owens' recent comments aren't surprising because days after Brown's sudden exit he was ready to answer the call and team up with Brady.

Owens was 48 years old at the time and he has been out of the NFL since 2010. Those two factors on their own raise obvious questions about how much impact he might've had on the field. Then there's the added difficulty of learning a new offense and adjusting on the fly with the postseason right around the corner.

Despite how implausible this comeback scenario sounds, it's clear TO is still holding a bit of a grudge against Brady.

Terrell Owens Wants to Join Son Terique on 49ers, Compares It to LeBron James, Bronny

Terrell Owens is 50 years old and hasn't played in the NFL since the 2010 season, but he wants the San Francisco 49ers to have an open mind when it comes to reviving his career.

That is especially true after the NFC West team signed his son, Terique Owens, as an undrafted free agent in April.

"If I could be anything like LeBron James and his son, Bronny, and play on the same team or play in the same area, sign me up," Owens said during an appearance on 95.7 The Game (16:15 mark). "I already told Jed [York] … and I'm telling [49ers GM] John Lynch. Trust me, I am a viable option. Third downs and red zone."

While he seemed to be having some fun with the entire topic, he said "I could still get the job done."

The younger Owens started his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic and eventually transferred to Missouri State. He posted 28 catches for 528 yards and four touchdowns during the 2023 campaign, and his 18.9 yards per catch mark ranked 12th in the country among FCS players.

Lynch, who is the 49ers general manager and a former player, said Terique reminded him of the receiver's Hall of Fame father.

"T.O. was out here at the local pro day and his son Terique performed really well and that was pretty cool," Lynch told reporters last month. "I saw him running at me and I played against T.O. a lot and there was something in that stride that was very familiar. It was something about the gait. And it's crazy how those things translate."

Terique certainly has quite the legacy to live up to considering the older Owens is a Hall of Famer who is third in NFL history in receiving yards (15,934) and receiving touchdowns (153). He played for San Francisco for the first eight seasons of his career from 1996 to 2003 and was a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro during that tenure.

Maybe fans shouldn't quite rule out a ninth season with the 49ers.

Terrell Owens 'Proud' of Son Terique After WR Signs 49ers Contract as UDFA

Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens had some kind words for his son Terique, who followed in his footsteps by joining the San Francisco 49ers.

"I'm proud of him. All we ever asked for is an opportunity," Owens told Josina Anderson of CBS Sports after Terique signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent. "He's wanted to make his own name and carve his own path to get to where he is. We would've loved to have gotten drafted, but he's got his foot in the door. Now he has to continue to do all the right things and show people he can play."

Terique Owens began his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic before transferring to Missouri State. He recorded 28 catches for 528 yards and four touchdowns in 2023. His average of 18.9 yards per catch ranked 12th in the nation among FCS players.

49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters last week that he sees similarities between Terique and his father, who spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with San Francisco and went on to become a six-time Pro Bowler.

"T.O. was out here at the local pro day and his son Terique performed really well and that was pretty cool," Lynch said. "I saw him running at me and I played against T.O. a lot and there was something in that stride that was very familiar. It was something about the gait. And it's crazy how those things translate."

The elder Owens added that he believes his son has what it takes to be successful in the NFL on his own merit.

"Like I told him, he doesn't have to be me; just be himself. He's just as good as any of these other kids who got drafted; the only thing is some of them have played more football than he has," Owens said. "So, he should be encouraged… He has tremendous upside and knowledge he still can gain. He can run fast and catch, just didn't play at an earlier age and really get going [until] like his senior year. So, I'm excited to see him grow more now."

The San Francisco 49ers added Missouri State wide receiver Terique Owens, the son of Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens, as an undrafted free agent on Saturday, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The elder Owens was drafted by the 49ers in the third round of the 1996 draft, spending the first eight years of his career in San Francisco.

As for his son, he recorded 28 receptions for 528 yards as a senior at Missouri State in 2023.

He previously spent one year at Contra Costa College before transferring to Florida Atlantic. Then, he moved on to Missouri State ahead of the 2021 season. Owens recorded 18 catches for 237 yards in 2021 and 2022 combined, failing to find the end zone. In 2023, he racked up four touchdown receptions.

On April 10, the younger Owens participated in the 49ers' local pro day with his father in attendance.

The five-time All-Pro receiver was impressed with the improvements that his son made throughout his collegiate career.

"Just to see where he is now, the progression that he's made even within just the end of last year, the last few games he had at Missouri State to where we are today, he's made leaps and bounds as far as becoming a really good receiver," he said, via Lindsey Pallares of the team's official website.

His son started off his senior campaign strong, as he reeled in five catches for a season-high 140 yards and two touchdowns in his second appearance of the year. Although he wasn't able to surpass the century mark for the remainder of the season, he finished with over 50 yards in four more games.

The younger Owens predicted that he would go undrafted when speaking at the organization's local pro day, although he didn't appear too worried about the scenario while telling reporters that he's "getting progressively better."

"I'm a late bloomer to this, so I see myself going as an undrafted free agent," Terique said, per Pallares. "Obviously, I have been working to get that opportunity to be drafted, but like I said, I'm a late bloomer."

Now, he'll have an opportunity to make the team that his father once starred for.

Actor Mark Wahlberg's company is reportedly facing yet another lawsuit from a famous athlete.

TMZ Sports reported Sunday that soccer legend David Beckham's company, DB Ventures Ltd., filed a lawsuit against F45 Training. Wahlberg is the chief brand officer of F45 and holds a 36 percent interest.

According to the lawsuit, Beckham said he was "duped" into signing as F45's Global Ambassador and never received the $10 million he was owed. The judge also denied F45's request to dismiss the lawsuit as "fraudulent."

This comes after NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens filed a lawsuit against F45 in 2017 and said he was never paid the $700,000 he was owed.

Beckham became an international star when he played for Manchester United, Real Madrid and the England men's national team. He eventually came to the United States in the latter half of his career and played for the LA Galaxy across six different seasons from 2007 to 2012.

TMZ Sports noted he first became close to Wahlberg when he played for the Galaxy.

As for Owens, he played in the NFL from 1996 through 2010 for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.

Wonzur Ratcliff, the man who allegedly hit Terrell Owens with his car after an argument during a basketball game last year, was charged with two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon.

TMZ Sports reported Ratcliff hit Owens' knee with his car last October following an argument in Calabasas, Calif. Owens did not suffer any serious injuries and has not made public comment on the incident.

Details on what led to the fight have been scant.

No court date has been set.

Owens played college basketball at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before embarking on his NFL career. He once tried to play in NBA Summer League in 2005 but was denied by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Hall of Famer has not played in the NFL since the 2010 season but returned to the field in 2022 to play in the Fan Controlled Football League.
