Jon Moxley beat Orange Cassidy, "Hangman" Adam Page and Jay White in a four-way match at AEW Worlds End on Saturday to retain the AEW World Championship.

The four-way match was intense, to say the least, with it feeling like anyone could win at any moment. After Moxley was hit with a three-way powerbomb through the announcer table, he regained control, pinned Jay White and retained his title.

In addition, the long-awaited return of Adam Copeland surprised AEW fans with one of the loudest pops of the year, adding to the excitement.

The night ended with Copeland attacking Moxley after his victory, leaving the audience with a promise that Rated FTR is "taking it all."

After turning heel on Bryan Danielson at All Out back in September, Moxley beat Danielson for the title at WrestleDream in October and essentially declared war on the rest of AEW.

As one of AEW's longest-tenured and most-popular stars, Cassidy stepped up as the first challenger to take on Moxley, attempting to take the AEW World Championship from him at Full Gear last month.

Due in part to interference from Death Riders member Wheeler Yuta, Mox managed to retain, but things devolved into chaos after the match.

Page arrived to save OC from being poisoned by the Death Riders, leading to Christian Cage making his way to the ring with his contract for a guaranteed world title match at a time and place of his choosing.

However, White showed up and prevented Cage from cashing in, at which point Moxley and the Death Riders escaped the ring and made their way out of the building.

Given how things played out at the conclusion of Full Gear, a tag team match was booked for the Dec. 11 Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite, pitting Mox and his Death Riders stablemate Pac against Cassidy and White.

There was no definitive winner, though, as Page interfered and caused the match to be thrown out and ruled a no contest.

Later that night, Moxley announced that at Worlds End he would put the AEW world title up for grabs in a four-way match against Cassidy, Page and White.

Despite having to contend with three of AEW's best and most successful stars, Moxley was victorious, which will allow him to continue his reign of terror over AEW.

MJF defeated Adam Cole in a long-awaited grudge match at AEW Worlds End on Saturday to retain the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

In a brutal, yet brief, blood-soaked match that thrilled the crowd, the two competitors viciously sank their teeth into each other's foreheads, much to the audience's enjoyment.

Matt Taven and Mike Bennett were stationed at ringside to guard the ring for Cole, but MJF managed to get them ejected by cleverly faking an attack from the duo.

Seizing the opportunity during the referee's distraction, Cole grabbed the ring and prepared to strike. However, MJF countered with a low blow, followed by a Heatseeker, to secure the victory via pinfall.

The saga involving MJF and Cole dates back to last year when they formed a reluctant partnership that seemingly blossomed into a real friendship, as they won the ROH World Tag Team Championships together.

Known as Better Than You Bay Bay, MJF and Cole became one of the most popular teams in AEW history, but it turned out that Cole was using MJF in an attempt to get the AEW World Championship.

While they were a team, MJF and Cole had a world title match at All In 2023, which MJF won. They continued to team coming out of All In, but Cole suffered a significant ankle injury that clearly altered the course of their storyline.

After MJF dropped the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe at Worlds End 2023, Cole revealed himself to be the "Devil" who had been targeting MJF, and he was joined by Roderick Strong, Taven, Bennett and Wardlow.

The momentum of the MJF vs. Cole rivalry stalled after the big reveal, though, as Cole was not cleared to compete and MJF took time off due to injury as well.

Both Cole and MJF made surprise appearances at Double or Nothing back in May, and MJF hit Cole with a low blow.

Cole still wasn't cleared to wrestle, so he was removed from AEW programming again, and while he was gone, MJF's short-lived face turn resulted in yet another heel turn.

A finally healthy Cole appeared at WrestleDream back in October by stopping MJF from attacking Daniel Garcia, which cemented a face turn for Cole.

On a recent episode of Dynamite, Cole and Kyle O'Reilly were the final two competitors in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal, and they went on to face each other in a match for the right to take on MJF at Worlds End, which Cole won.

One year after Cole turned on MJF at Worlds End 2023, the former friends clashed at Worlds End 2024, and MJF got the last laugh by beating Cole to retain the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Top Worlds End Matches to Watch

Mercedes Moné vs. Kris Statlander

One of the two rematches from last month's Full Gear pay-per-view, the TBS Championship match between Mercedes Moné and Kris Statlander has a strong chance to steal the show at Worlds End.

A legitimate argument can be made that Mercedes and Statlander put on not only the best match at Full Gear, but perhaps the best women's match in AEW history.

While Moné's character and promo work have been maligned by some since she joined AEW, there is no denying the fact that she is still one of the best in-ring workers in the world from bell to bell.

Statlander is starting to put herself in that conversation as well, and she proved to be the ideal complement to Mercedes during their previous match.

While The CEO came out on top in their first meeting, Statlander may be in line to become a two-time TBS champion at Worlds End, especially if there are plans in place for Moné to move up into the AEW Women's World Championship picture in the near future.

Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher

If Mercedes vs. Statlander wasn't the match of the night at Full Gear, then that distinction belonged to Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.

The former friends have worked together and against each other many times over the years, so it came as no surprise that their chemistry was off the charts last month.

Fletcher cost Ospreay the International Championship in a three-way match against Konosuke Takeshita and Ricochet at WrestleDream in October, and they have been at odds ever since.

Although Fletcher struck the first blow by beating Ospreay at Full Gear, Ospreay can get revenge by winning an even bigger match in the form of the Continental Classic semifinal.

Whoever wins what is sure to be a fast-paced and hard-hitting affair will move on to the tournament final to face either Kazuchika Okada or Ricochet for the Continental Championship.

MJF vs. Adam Cole

After well over a year of build, MJF and Adam Cole will finally settle their differences in the ring at Worlds End.

At last year's Worlds End event, Cole revealed himself to be MJF's tormentor after MJF dropped the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe, however, AEW was unable to capitalize on that huge storyline development.

Cole was injured at the time and MJF subsequently took several months off. By the time MJF returned, Cole was still hurt, so their feud had to be put on the back burner.

AEW was finally able to go back to MJF vs. Cole over the past couple of months, but with a twist, as MJF turned heel and Cole became a babyface.

After weeks of trying to get a match with MJF, Cole finally secured one by winning the Dynamite Diamond Ring battle royal and a subsequent match against Kyle O'Reilly, setting the stage for Cole vs. MJF at Worlds End.

Even though the rivalry has lost some momentum, there is still plenty of history to draw from, and a chance to get things fully on track with a strong in-ring effort from both MJF and Cole.
