Being an Olympic gold medalist is something you can dine out on for the rest of your life, quite literally in the case of Simone Biles.

Biles recently visited the Chicago restaurant Maple & Ash with her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, and the establishment gave her a menu reading "Olympic F--king Champion," per Us Weekly's Ryan Hudgins. She showed off the menu on social media:

The 27-year-old was in the Windy City to watch Owens in his team's 27-3 NFL preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished with four tackles in the victory.

Biles is a little over a week removed from helping to close out the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She added to her legacy in France, winning gold in the individual all-around and vault competitions and contributing to the United States' first-place finish in the team event. She was also a silver medalist in the floor exercise.

Biles' compatriots in the U.S. clearly aren't done celebrating her legendary career.

Video: Ana Barbosu Receives Olympic Bronze Medal amid Jordan Chiles Controversy

Barbosu was awarded the Olympic floor exercise bronze medal originally given to Jordan Chiles, following a decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The IOC decision followed a Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling which cancelled the re-evaluation of Chiles' score on the grounds that the appeal of her degree of difficulty was lodged by the US team four seconds after the regulatory deadline, set at one minute. Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu received her bronze medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday.

"I did not expect the medal to be so heavy, but I would wear it day and night if this is what it takes to have it," Barbosu said afterwards, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).

The medal was originally given to U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles for her floor routine after an inquiry from her coach, Cecile Landi, led to her score being increased. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport later voided the appeal and the International Olympic Committee required Chiles to return her bronze medal.

Chiles' score improved to 13.766 following the initial inquiry, although it was moved back down to 13.666 after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that the request occurred after the one-minute timeframe.

USA Gymnastics submitted video evidence that the request occurred within one minute after the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee released plans to appeal the ruling.

However, the arbitration panel did not reconsider the decision asking Chiles to return the bronze medal.

"We are deeply disappointed by the notification and will continue to pursue every possible avenue and appeal process, including to the Swiss Federal Tribunal, to ensure the just scoring, placement, and medal award for Jordan," USA Gymnastics said in a statement, per the Associated Press.

As for Barbosu, she said that the controversy surrounding the medal was "saddening" and that "we expected the referees and staff at the Olympics to do their job properly" (via ESPN).

She was also sympathetic to Chiles and the U.S. gymnasts after the medal reallocation.

"I am thinking of them even if today I got the medal," Barbosu said.

Chiles still earned some hardware in Paris, as she took home a gold medal after the United States team won the all-around competition.

Video: Flavor Flav Shows Off Bronze Clock Made for Jordan Chiles Amid Medal Dispute

While USA Gymnastics campaigns for Jordan Chiles to retain her Olympic bronze medal in floor exercise following the 2024 Paris Games, she will receive a different kind of bronze from rapper and gymnastics fan Flavor Flav.

On Monday night, Flavor Flav shared a video of a bronze clock necklace designed for Chiles.

Chiles' mother, Gina Chiles, said she would share the post with the American gymnast, who is not currently active on social media.

Flavor Flav's post came the day after the rapper promised Chiles a bronze clock necklace amid the controversy over her medal.

Romania's Ana Barbosu was originally announced as the bronze medal winner following last Monday's floor final, in which Chiles was the final performer.

An inquiry by Team USA then added a .1 to Chiles' score on the floor exercise, elevating her past Barbosu and into a podium spot.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport then announced Saturday that Team USA's inquiry had been submitted past an allotted deadline, removing the additional .1 from Chiles' score and reinstated Barbosu as the third-place finisher.

The International Gymnastics Federation then backed CAS' decision before the International Olympic Committee ordered Chiles to return her bronze medal.

USA Gymnastics submitted a request to reinstate Chiles' score with a video the organization said proved the inquiry had been submitted in time, but the arbitration panel declined to consider the appeal.

The U.S. gymnastics governing body said in a statement it will continue to fight the ruling. The conflict could eventually make it to the highest court in Switzerland, the Swiss Tribunal, or the European Court of Human Rights, according to the Associated Press.

USA Gymnastics: CAS Won't Reconsider Jordan Chiles Bronze Medal Dispute Due to Rules

USA Gymnastics hit a snag in its quest to get Jordan Chiles the Olympic bronze medal that she was forced to give up over the weekend.

After submitting evidence to a Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Sunday, USA Gymnastics announced on Monday that it was informed that the court's rules don't allow for the situation to be reconsidered. USA Gymnastics said it will continue pursuing methods of appeal to get Chiles her medal back:

Christine Brennan of USA Today provided another update on the situation:

Chiles was awarded the bronze medal in the floor exercise after an inquiry by Team USA coach Cecile Landi led to her score being changed and moving her from fifth place to third ahead of Romanians Ana Barbosu and Sabrina Maneca-Voinea. However, the CAS voided Landi's appeal and the International Olympic Committee announced that Chiles would be required to return her medal so it could be reallocated to Barbosu.

The CAS reportedly determined that Landi's inquiry came after the one-minute window allowed by the International Gymnastics Federation, saying that it occurred one minute and four seconds after Chiles' score was posted. In its submission of evidence on Sunday, USA Gymnastics said it found that Landi's appeal came within the window.

"USA Gymnastics on Sunday formally submitted a letter and video evidence to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, conclusively establishing that Head Coach Cecile Landi's request to file an inquiry was submitted 47 seconds after the publishing of the score, within the 1-minute deadline required," Sunday's announcement stated.

Chiles appeared to address the situation when she wrote in an Instagram story on Saturday that she was "taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health, thank you."

Chiles also earned a gold medal in the team competition along with her United States teammates Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee, Jade Carey and Hezley Rivera.

Aly Raisman Rips IOC Ruling on Jordan Chiles' Medal: 'It's So Unfair. It's So Cruel'

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman criticized the International Olympic Committee's ruling that U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles needs to return the bronze medal that she earned in the individual floor exercise.

"I don't think people realize these gymnasts work their entire lives for this moment, and it's supposed to be a celebration," Raisman said on TODAY (per TODAY.com's Anna Caplan). "This was one of my favorite moments at the Olympics, watching Jordan celebrate. I think it's so unfair. It's so cruel."

Chiles wasn't initially on the podium following her floor exercise, although she was eventually given a bronze medal following an inquiry from her coach that raised her score to 13.766.

However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport revealed that the inquiry occurred four seconds beyond the one-minute time limit to appeal. On Saturday, the International Gymnastics Federation announced that Romania's Ana Bฤƒrbosu would be elevated to third.

The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee revealed plans to appeal the decision and allow Chiles to keep her bronze medal, with USA Gymnastics submitting video evidence that the request occurred within one minute.

"This is just so heartbreaking, and I'm just so gutted for Jordan," Raisman said, per Kaplan. "I can't even imagine what this past week has been like for Jordan and the other athletes involved. This is completely devastating."

Raisman is far from the only notable athlete to side with Chiles, as LeBron James also expressed his support for her in a Sunday post on X.

While Chiles' bronze status is up in the air, she won't be going home from Paris empty-handed regardless. She previously earned a gold medal during team competition.

Even if Jordan Chiles has to give her bronze medal back, she will be receiving something to commemorate her Olympic performance.

The U.S. gymnast was requested to relinquish her bronze medal from the floor exercise by the IOC after a Romanian appeal deemed the inquiry filed by her coach to have come too late.

The USOPC is appealing the decision but rapper Flavor Flav is ensuring that Chiles performance is recognized. Flav posted on X about his plan to make Chiles a bronze clock necklace "that's something no one else has."

Chiles isn't the only athlete that Flav has helped this Olympic cycle.

The rapper notably donated to U.S. discus thrower Veronica Fraley after she had shared that she was struggling to pay rent. He also became a sponsor for the U.S. women's water polo team.

Chiles' situation is unique, as she earned the medal and was in the ceremony. USA Gymnastics said it was "devastated" by the IOC's decision and believed the inquiry was filed "in good faith."

Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee Defend Jordan Chiles as IOC Rules USA Star Must Return Medal

Amid the International Olympic Committee's ruling that Team USA gymnast Jordan Chiles would have to return her floor exercise bronze medal, the 23-year-old received support from her teammates.

"Sending you so much love Jordan," Simone Biles posted in an Instagram story, per ESPN. "Keep your chin up 'Olympic champ' we love you."

"All this talk about the athlete, what about the judges?" Sunisa Lee added on her Instagram story. "Completely unacceptable, this is awful and [I'm] gutted for [Jordan]."

The IOC made the ruling that Chiles must return her bronze medal after the Court of Arbitration for Sport voided a scoring appeal made by Team USA coach Cecile Landi that helped her earn a spot on the podium. The medal will be reallocated to Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu.

The CAS reportedly determined that Landi's appeal to have 0.1 added to Chiles' score occurred outside of the one-minute window allowed by the International Gymnastics Federation. Landi's appeal came 1 minute, 4 seconds after Chiles' score was posted, the court stated.

It was suggested that the original finishing order be restored, with Barbosu third, Romanian Sabrina Maneca-Voinea fourth and Chiles falling all the way to fifth behind gold-medal winner Rebeca Andrade of Brazil and Biles, who earned the silver medal.

Chiles appeared to allude to the disappointment caused by the decision when she wrote in an Instagram story on Saturday that she was "taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health, thank you."

Chiles' sister, Jazmin, wrote on Instagram that she was stripped of her bronze medal "not because she wasn't good enough. But because the judges failed to give her difficulty and forced an inquiry to be made."

USA Gymnastics said in a statement that it was "devastated" by the court's decision.

"The inquiry into the Difficulty Value of Jordan Chiles' floor exercise routine was filed in good faith and, we believed, in accordance with FIG rules to ensure accurate scoring," the organization stated.

American gymnastics icon Simone Biles isn't the only member of her family donning gold during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Biles' father Ronald celebrated his 75th birthday by wearing a Death Row Records golden chain gifted to him by Snoop Dogg.

Adria Biles, sister of the Olympic gymnast, shared an image of the chain on her Instagram story.

"snoop gave him a chain now he don't know how to act," Adria Biles wrote in the caption (h/t Joyann Jeffrey of TODAY.com.)

Biles' parents and Snoop Dogg were previously seen together on the NBC broadcast ahead of the Opening Ceremony in Paris.

Biles and Snoop Dogg then sat together in the stands for an Olympic track event.

Biles has credited her parents' support with helping her become the most decorated gymnast in U.S. Olympic history. Now her father has some bling of his own to match the three gold medals she will bring home from Paris.

Michael Phelps Calls for Lifetime Doping Bans; Doubts He Ever Faced a 'Clean Field'

Amid a Chinese doping scandal, legendary swimmer Michael Phelps voiced his support for harsher penalties for those who test positive for banned substances.

"If everybody is not going through that same testing, I have a serious problem because it means the level of sport is not fair and it's not even," Phelps said, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). "If you're taking that risk, then you don't belong in here."

Phelps also emphasized the importance of winning without using banned substances, noting all the accomplishments he achieved without cheating and the lengths he went to to ensure there was no speculation.

"People called me a cheater throughout my career," Phelps said. "I subjected myself to do more testing -- blood and urine -- weekly. Why? For the reason that I could say I'm not cheating, and I am clean and here are the results.

"I did it the clean way," he added. "I won 23 Olympic gold medals the clean way. It can be done."

Phelps, a 23-time Olympic gold medalist, went as far as to say his competition throughout his career used banned substances.

"I don't think I ever competed in an even playing field or a clean field," Phelps said. "I have some speculations of some athletes that I competed against that I thought they were [doping]. But that's out of my control."

Phelps' comments come after the World Anti-Doping Agency and World Aquatics acknowledged that 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for a banned substance before the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Of the 23 athletes, nine earned medals at this year's games in Paris.

Whether the World Anti-Doping Agency will take Phelps' suggestions is to be determined, but having one of the greatest swimmers of all time voicing his opinions on such matters should hold plenty of weight.

Carlos Edriel Yulo's historic 2024 Paris Olympics run for the Philippines continued Sunday in the men's vault final.

Less than 24 hours after his championship floor routine made him the first male Olympic champion in Filipino history, Yulo won the vault competition with an average score of 15.116.

Here are the scores from Sunday's final.

Men's vault final results

  1. Carlos Edriel Yulo, Philippines: 15.116
  2. Artur Davtyan, Armenia: 14.966
  3. Harry Hepworth, Great Britain: 14.949
  4. Jake Jarman, Great Britain: 14.933
  5. Aurel Benovic, Croatia: 14.900
  6. Nazar Chepurnyi, Ukraine: 14.899
  7. Mahdi Olfati, Iran: 14.266
  8. Igor Radivilov, Ukraine: 14.166

Yulo finished atop the rankings after scoring 15.433 on his first jump, followed by a 14.800 on his second.

This is becoming a breakout Olympics for Yulo, who made his Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in 2021 but finished 0.017 points shy of a bronze medal in the vault competition.

Yulo wasn't the only gymnast who made history for his country during Sunday's vault final.

Artur Davtyan won Armenia's first medal of the 2024 Games with twin scores of 14.966. He also earned a spot on the podium in Tokyo, where he earned bronze to edge Yulo off the podium in 2021.

Great Britain's Harry Hepworth meanwhile marked a 14.833 on his first vault, followed by a 15.066 on his second leap, to earn his country's first Olympic medal in the men's vault competition. This honor was Hepworth's first medal in the 20-year-old's Olympic debut.

Jake Jarman, also representing Team Great Britain, remained in bronze medal position until Devtyan knocked him off the podium with the last vault of the day.
