Police cam footage of Marshawn Lynch's DUI arrest shows officers dragging the former NFL running back out of his car.

TMZ Sports obtained footage of the arrest, which shows Lynch refusing to cooperate with police until one officer loses his patience, grabs Lynch by the hood of his sweatshirt and drags him to the ground. The officer then places a knee on Lynch's back while placing him under arrest.

"No more games today," the officer said as he was taking Lynch to the ground.

The arresting officer then says he notices the smell of alcohol on Lynch's breath. During the several minutes in which Lynch refused to exit his vehicle, officers did not indicate he was being investigated for DUI. They instructed him to get out of his car because he was "obstructing an investigation," according to the video.

"Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI. Rather the vehicle was safely parked and not in operation," Lynch's attorneys said in a statement. "We are confident that when all evidence is presented, this will not be a DUI under Nevada law. Marshawn appreciates and is thankful for everyone’s concern and support."

When the officer whose body cam footage was released arrived at the scene, another officer in the video noted that Lynch "said he doesn't drink or do drugs" but questioned whether they had "ever seen anybody drive a car like that?" while directing the officer to the damaged tires. "He drove it 'til the f--king rims came off," she added.

The police report indicated Lynch remained uncooperative while in custody, with officers needing to use a restraint chair to draw blood to test for alcohol after he refused a Breathalyzer.

Lynch was formally charged with DUI after his blood test came back above the legal limit. He is set for a court date in December.

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch may not have helped his case when he was pulled over Tuesday by Las Vegas police.

According to TMZ Sports, police said Lynch told them he had stolen the car he was driving: "During the stop, cops say Lynch 'stated that he was not drinking and he does not do drugs, but that he stole the vehicle.'"

The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Glenn Puit reported authorities made note of the damage to the vehicle, which was judged to be undrivable. One tire had been torn off and the front tire on the passenger side was "almost off."

Police cited Lynch for driving under the influence, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to surrender proof of security and failing to drive in a travel lane.

The officers said in their report they "observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle, his person and his breath along with bloodshot, watery eyes" in reference to Lynch.

Per TMZ Sports, officers also said they had to physically restrain the 36-year-old in order to execute a search warrant to obtain a blood sample after Lynch refused a Breathalyzer.

TMZ Sports also shared a statement from Lynch's attorneys, Richard A. Schonfeld and David Z. Chesnoff:

Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI. Rather the vehicle was safely parked and not in operation. We are confident that when all evidence is presented, this will not be a DUI under Nevada law. Marshawn appreciates and is thankful for everyone’s concern and support.

Lynch's arrest came one day after the Seattle Seahawks announced he'd be working as a special correspondent for the broadcast team later on during the 2022 NFL season.

Lynch played seven years for the Seahawks and was a member of their Super Bowl-winning squad in 2013.

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested and charged with driving under the influence by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Per TMZ Sports, the traffic stop happened on Tuesday morning at 7:25 a.m. PT.

Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal provided more details:

Per TMZ Sports, Lynch was allegedly driving into roadside curbs before police stopped him. Officers spoke to Lynch and believed he was under the influence, leading to the booking at Las Vegas City Jail.

Lynch had his blood drawn and did not submit to a breathalyzer.

The 36-year-old Lynch played in the NFL from 2007-15 and again from 2017-19. He played for the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders.

Lynch is a five-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro who amassed six 1,000-yard seasons, including four straight with Seattle from 2011-14. He scored 106 career touchdowns (94 regular season, 12 playoffs), including an NFL-high 17 regular-season scores in 2017.

He's also a two-time NFC champion who played an integral part for the 2013 Super Bowl-winning Seahawks by leading the team with 1,573 scrimmage yards and 14 touchdowns.

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch said he didn't have much of an interaction with head coach Pete Carroll after the interception at the end of Super Bowl XLIX that clinched the championship for the New England Patriots.

In one of the most memorable plays in Super Bowl history, the Seahawks had the ball at the Pats' one-yard line down by four with 24 seconds left. Instead of handing the ball to Lynch, Seattle called a Russell Wilson pass, which was intercepted by Malcolm Butler.

Actor Kevin Hart asked Lynch about the immediate aftermath of that play on the Cold as Balls episode released Tuesday (8:50 mark of video).

"I come off the sideline, and in my mind, I'm confused," Lynch said. "And I'm walking by Pete, I'm just laughing at him like, 'Bro, what the...'"

Lynch joked he got over the disappointment by meeting singer Lenny Kravitz, who performed alongside Katy Perry during the Super Bowl halftime show, and then having a party with his entire family that included a delivery of 76 12-bottle Hennessy cases.

The Seahawks were trying to win their second straight Super Bowl title after beating the Denver Broncos to close out the 2013 season. They've made the playoffs five times in the seven years since that heartbreaking loss but have never returned to the Super Bowl.

Carroll accepted responsibility for the play-calling mistake in the aftermath of the loss.

"I told those guys, 'That's my fault, totally,'" Carroll said. "But we had plenty of time to win the game ... we were playing for third and fourth down, give them no time left ... but didn't work out that way."

Lynch last played in 2019 but hasn't formally announced his retirement.

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch and rapper Macklemore are now minority investors in the NHL's Seattle Kraken.

"I retired before I was 30 and now being an owner of a pro club at 35—I'm gonna continue to count my blessings," Lynch said, per CNBC

Lynch is seemingly enjoying his new role, joyriding with the Zamboni at the team's practice facility:

That parallels his on-field drive in a cart after a game when he played college football at California.

Lynch spent 12 years in the NFL, including seven seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He helped the team win a Super Bowl in the 2013 season.

The 35-year-old founded Beast Mode Apparel in 2014, and since his retirement in 2020, he has created a marijuana company and owned a team in the Fan Controlled Football league among his investments.

The latest venture helps him support Seattle's new hockey team, which is wrapping up its first NHL season. The squad is in last place in the Pacific Division with 54 points in 74 games and is out of playoff contention.

Macklemore is also known for his Seattle love as a native of the city. The Grammy winner is often seen at Seahawks and Mariners events and purchased a share of Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders in 2019 alongside then-Seahawks star Russell Wilson.

Report: Marshawn Lynch Targeted by Amazon for 'Thursday Night Football' Studio Show

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is being targeted by Amazon Prime Video for the company's Thursday Night Football coverage for the 2022 season, according to the New York Post's Andrew Marchand.

Marchand reported Lynch would occupy a feature reporter and analyst role in a "more relaxed studio-type show."

The five-time Pro Bowler possesses a unique brand of charisma, one that was long evident before his star ascended with the Seahawks. His video segment on Buffalo nightlife with ESPN's Kenny Mayne became the stuff of legend.

Most recently, Lynch made a memorable appearance on ESPN2's ManningCast for the Seahawks' 13-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. He dropped an F-bomb and indicated he was still observing is ritual of taking a shot of Hennessy before a game.

Hiring Lynch would set the tone for Amazon's studio coverage, perhaps striking the balance between informative and entertaining best exemplified by TNT's Inside the NBA program.

Marchand reported Amazon is hard at work to make a strong impact out of the gate. The company has hired Fred Gaudelli, the executive producer for NBC's Sunday Night Football, and has held "extensive negotiations" with Al Michaels for play-by-play duties.
