Drew Kendall NFL Draft 2025 Scouting Report for Philadelphia Eagles IOL

Alex Kay
Apr 21, 2025
NFL Combine Football

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Boston College IOL Drew Kendall with the No. 168 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Drew Kendall is a three-year starter at center including 13 starts in 2024 as a team captain inside Boston College's run-heavy (64-36 run-pass split) multiple-run scheme. Kendall has mediocre arm length with evenly dispersed weight throughout his frame, good athletic ability and solid play strength.

Drew Kendall Highlights

Kendall is an efficient zone run blocker with good quickness, leverage, and sustain skills to execute combos effectively, climb, pull, and intersect targets on the move. He does a nice job steering defenders away from the ball to secure rush lanes and not fall off of blocks cleanly, very often. Kendall will get stacked and stalemated on back blocks due to middling power and length, but he has the mobility and strength in his lower half to dissipate momentum enough to not get blown up.

Ad Placeholder

In pass protection Kendall has a solid anchor to grind down the bull-rush and die slowly with the hand-fighting skills and grip strength to stay inside and underneath of rushers. His lack of girth, mass and length leaves him vulnerable to getting picked by penetrators and creates soft edges that moves across his face can exploit but his active hands and feet keeps him in the fight and give him a shot to recover.

Overall, Kendall has below-average size and power but is an athletic, sticky run blocker with solid play strength to anchor who can carve out a role as a backup center with the sustain skills to compete for a starting job inside a zone-based run scheme.

Cam Jurgens, Eagles Agree to 4-Year, $68M Contract Extension After Super Bowl Win

Zach Bachar
Apr 21, 2025
B/R

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $68 million with center Cam Jurgens on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Per Schefter, the deal also contains $39.4 million guaranteed and keeps Jurgens under contract through the 2029 season.

The 25-year-old is the latest Eagles offensive lineman to receive an extension throughout the past year, joining Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson and Lane Johnson.

Jurgens started 16 regular-season games for the Eagles during his 2024 campaign and suited up in all four of their playoff matchups, including a 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.

His availability in the playoffs was admirable, as he was dealing with nerve pain in his back that required surgery at the end of the season.

Jurgens was sidelined to begin the Eagles' 55-23 victory over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game due to his back issues, but stepped in for Dickerson after he left the contest with a knee injury.

Ad Placeholder

The Eagles selected Jurgens with a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft. After operating in a reserve role as a rookie, he became a starter in 2023 and maintained his spot atop the team's center depth chart during the ensuing year.

He earned Pro Bowl honors for the first time in his career last season. Jurgens also received an impressive 67.1 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, allowing four sacks in 1,067 snaps.

His 95 percent pass-block win rate also ranked No. 10 among all interior offensive lineman in 2024, via ESPN.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts previously praised the Nebraska product for his performance throughout his third season.

"He's been great all year," Hurts said, per the team's official website. "He had one bad snap to start the season off, and all the questioning and all the things that were thrown his way and ended up being a Pro Bowler. He's done a great job."

As Philadelphia attempts to defend its Super Bowl title in 2025, the front office handed Jurgens a long-term contract extension on Monday.

Eagles' A.J. Brown Says Stolen Car Has Been Recovered by Police in Video Update

Joseph Zucker
Apr 21, 2025
Super Bowl Eagles Football

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has gotten his car back after it was stolen Sunday night.

Brown had said he wouldn't press charges if the car were returned but that "it's going to be what it's going to be" if the thief didn't come forward:

When he revealed that the car had been recovered, he let it be known the thief would have to deal with the "consequences."

It's unclear whether the car in question is the Honda Accord that went viral when he drove it to Lincoln Financial Field ahead of Philly's 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC divisional round.

Brown also shared a photo from behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce earlier this month.

The three-time Pro Bowler is coming off another big season with the Eagles. He caught 67 passes for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 starts. His 16.1 yards per reception were the fourth-highest in the NFL.

Ad Placeholder

Brown also had 163 yards and two touchdowns in the playoffs as Philadelphia celebrated its second Super Bowl title. His 12-yard grab in Super Bowl LIX helped give his team a 24-point lead in the first half.

Last offseason, the 27-year-old signed a $96 million extension that can keep him with the Eagles through 2029.

Eagles Reportedly Won't Trade A.J. Brown amid 'Internet Speculation' Before NFL Draft

Zach Bachar
Apr 21, 2025
Super Bowl Football

The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly aren't planning on trading star wide receiver A.J. Brown heading into the 2025 NFL draft.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles won't part ways with Brown despite "internet speculation."

NBC Sports' Matthew Berry reported on March 4 that the New England Patriots contacted Philadelphia to discuss Brown's availability, but Philadelphia's willingness to move him was unknown.

It doesn't appear that the receiver will experience a change of scenery, though.

Brown previously signed a three-year, $96 million extension with the Eagles in April 2024 that carries through the 2029 season.

The 27-year-old has spent the past three seasons in Philadelphia after the team acquired him in a blockbuster trade with the Tennessee Titans in 2022. Brown made an instant impact with his new team, racking up 2,952 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns over his first two years on the Eagles.

While he was limited to just 13 regular-season appearances in 2024 due to a hamstring injury, he still hauled in 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven scores.

Brown also made several key plays throughout the Eagles' postseason run, which included a 12-yard receiving touchdown in the second quarter of their 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.

As Philadelphia looks to defend its championship during the upcoming 2025 season, trading Brown reportedly isn't an option that the front office is considering.

Myles Hinton NFL Draft 2025 Scouting Report for Philadelphia Eagles OT

Nicholas Nathanson
Apr 20, 2025
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 23 Northwestern at Michigan

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Michigan OT Myles Hinton with the No. 191 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Myles Hinton is a three-year starting tackle, including 10 starts at left tackle in 2024 inside Michigan's run-first (61-39 run-pass split), gap-based run scheme. He has a massive, well-rounded build with good arm length, solid athletic ability and play strength.

Hinton wins as a run-blocker using his mass, quickness and length to close space, cover up and wall off defenders with the speed to clear lanes on the move as a lead blocker around the edge and on screens. He struggles to refit and re-leverage late in the rep once engaged due to inconsistent footwork that fails to close space and step on the toes of defenders, leading to overextension and getting slipped.

Myles Hinton Highlights

Hinton has an impressive blend of size and quickness in pass protection to get to his spot, slide and mirror rushers up the arc and laterally with flashes of independent hands to disrupt the timing of pass-rush moves. He will drift and overset when being set up to open the door too far to inside counters while still utilizing two-hand strikes, which leaves him susceptible to clean losses. Hinton also shows clunky footwork on stunts and twists that can take him off levels and create leakage.

Ad Placeholder

Overall, Hinton has shaky sustain skills in the run game due to erratic technique and footwork. However, he has the building blocks of a swing tackle due to his combination of size, light feet and quickness to match up one-on-one in pass protection and lead around the edge in the run game.

POSITIVES

— Large frame with a well-proportioned build, good arm length and light feet.

— Impressive burst and quickness to slide, redirect and mirror in pass protection.

— Closes space in a hurry on the move to intersect targets as a lead blocker.

— Capable angle-drive run-blocker who casts a wide net to engulf and wall off defenders long enough to seal off lanes.

NEGATIVES

— Erratic snap timing leaves him late out of his stance a few times per game.

— Struggles to consistently step on the toes of defenders and close space once stacked in the run game, leaving him overextended and vulnerable to getting slipped.

— Has lapses in strike timing, aiming points and landmarks that lead to getting his face crossed and clean, glaring losses.

Cameron Williams NFL Draft 2025 Scouting Report for Philadelphia Eagles OT

Nicholas Nathanson
Apr 20, 2025
NFL Combine Football

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Texas OT Cameron Williams with the No. 207 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Cameron Williams is a one-year starter inside Texas' 55-45 run-pass split, multiple-run scheme with a high rate of quick-game, RPOs and motion. Williams has a massive, rugged frame and build with long arms, excellent grip strength and solid athletic ability.

Williams wins in the run game using his girth, length and sticky hands to press and wall off targets on angle-drive blocks with the giddy up to close space and blot out targets on the move. Williams does show below-average, high, and/or wide hand placement that leads to defenders getting inside and underneath his frame. This forces him into scramble mode in an attempt to regain control which he is usually able to do once reset due to very good grip strength to stay attached with active feet to get defenders walled off long enough, but does result in shaky sustain skills late in the rep.

Cameron Williams Highlights

Williams is a chore to work through and around in pass protection due to his girth, length, and solid movement skills that allow him to lengthen the corner, eat the bull-rush, and blot out rushers when they rush down the middle. Williams also flashes the rare ability to turn pass pro reps into run blocks due to having the power and aggressiveness to fire his feet, drive, and dump rushers once clamped. He runs into issues on an island against widely aligned, high-side rushes at the top of the QB's drop, where he regularly gets pried open stemming from gaining minimal ground out of his stance that forces his hips to open early and fall behind high-side speed rushes to the corner.

Overall, Williams is a green, inexperienced right tackle with the frame, length and grip strength to anchor against power, lengthen the corner and blot out targets on the move in the run game, but has shaky footwork and balance at the top of the QB's drop that will require a quick-trigger QB and help on an island. Williams' upside may be highest at guard, but in a RPO/PAP-based pass game can stick at tackle in the NFL.

POSITIVES

— Long arms with a rugged, powerful build that he uses to engulf and corral defenders.

— Vice grips for hands that once clamped on are a chore to unlock.

— Flashes the ability to turn pass pro reps into run blocks by firing his feet, driving and generating knockdown power late in the rep.

— Effective on frontside kick-outs to strike, keep defenders at his fingertips and wall off to create an alley.

— Fluid gait and can stride out to close space and blot out second-level targets on climbs and pulls.

Ad Placeholder

NEGATIVES

— Gains minimal ground out of his stance that forces his hips to open early and fall behind high-side, speed rushes to the corner.

— Mediocre range on an island forces him into chase mode and leaves him off-balance and easily pried open at the top of the QB's drop.

— Wide and high hand placement on down-pin-base blocks exposes his chest and forces him into scramble mode to stay attached.

— Will step under himself on backside cut-offs, get behind his target and have to overextend to make the block.

Andrew Mukuba NFL Draft 2025 Scouting Report for Philadelphia Eagles S

Joe Tansey
Apr 17, 2025
CFP Clemson Texas Football

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Texas S Andrew Mukuba with the No. 64 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Andrew Mukuba is an athletic defensive back with the versatility and instincts to be a playmaker in the secondary. At 6'0" and 186 pounds, he combines good length with impressive twitch and a burst out of breaks, making him an ideal fit as a deep safety or in coverage roles. Mukuba's ball-hawk tendencies and ability to track and react to passes in the air have made him a standout in coverage, while his physicality and willingness in the run game further enhance his value as a prospect.

Andrew Mukuba Highlights

Mukuba excels as a ball-hawking safety, showing impressive awareness and the ability to read the quarterback's eyes to get a jump on the ball. He demonstrates good range in coverage, effectively covering ground as a deep safety. Mukuba's ball skills are a key strength, allowing him to track and secure interceptions when given the opportunity. His vision and understanding of zone concepts further enhance his playmaking ability. While he thrives in zone coverage, his lean build can occasionally limit his effectiveness against bigger targets, such as tight ends and physical receivers, in contested situations.

Ad Placeholder

Mukuba is a willing and aggressive run defender who triggers quickly to fill running lanes. He does a good job of throwing his body around and making impactful tackles, although his lean frame limits his ability to take on bigger ball-carriers consistently. While he flashes physicality in run support, he often dives at legs, which can lead to missed tackles against larger, more physical opponents. Despite this, his effort and urgency in run defense stand out, as he is unafraid to mix it up and contribute near the line of scrimmage.

Andrew Mukuba projects as a mid-round pick with the potential to develop into a high-level backup or eventual starter in the NFL. His ability to excel as a deep safety and his knack for creating turnovers make him a valuable asset in zone-heavy schemes. While his lean frame may limit his effectiveness against larger ball carriers and physical matchups, his range, ball skills, and instincts give him a high ceiling as a playmaker in the secondary.

MEASUREMENTS AND WORKOUT RESULTS

POSITIVES

— Athletic defensive back with good length and twitch. Shows a burst out of breaks and drives on the ball in the air. Covers ground as a deep safety.

— Displays good ball skills to track balls, as well as reading the quarterbacks eyes to get a jump on the ball. Plays with good vision in zone coverage to identify threats.

— Willingness in run support. Triggers quickly to fill running lanes; as well as showing physicality to throw body around.

— Flashes playmaking ability to capitalize on turnovers when he gets his hands on the ball.

NEGATIVES

— Thin frame, built like a cornerback; which can show up in run game. He often dives at legs, leading to him bouncing off bigger ball-carriers.

Smael Mondon Jr. NFL Draft 2025 Scouting Report for Philadelphia Eagles LB

Joe Tansey
Apr 17, 2025
Georgia Missouri Football

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Georgia LB Smael Mondon Jr. with the No. 161 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Smael Mondon is a solid athlete who could be a good coverage linebacker in the NFL. He can be effective in man coverage with route recognition and speed, showing the ability to avoid picks and carry running backs and tight ends on vertical routes. Also, he has good eye discipline in zone coverage to locate threats and help tighten throwing windows.

Smael Mondon Jr. Highlights

Mondon has the potential to grow as a run defender at the next level as he takes on blocks with his hands, has long arms to get extension and rarely misses tackles. However, he needs to get stronger to be more stout against offensive linemen and avoid giving up extra yards to bigger running backs.

Ad Placeholder

While Mondon put up 25 reps on the bench press at Georgia's pro day, he could use more lower body strength.

Also, the former Bulldog relies heavily on his speed against outside runs. His ability to key and diagnose run plays is sub-par, forcing him to play catchup and chase down running backs toward the sideline. That's worked in college but could be a bigger issue in the NFL against more complicated rushing schemes and faster backs.

Ad Placeholder

Mondon's medicals could scare some teams away as he's suffered several lower-body injuries at Georgia. However, he's a good fit for a team that's looking for an athletic linebacker who can cover and contribute on special teams.

MEASURMENT AND WORKOUT RESULTS

HEIGHT: 6'2"

WEIGHT: 229

HAND: 9⅝"

ARM: 32⅝"

WINGSPAN: 80⅛”

40-YARD DASH: 4.58

BROAD: 10'10"

POSITIVES

— Solid size and a good frame to add weight, also has long arms.

— Good speed to carry tight ends and running backs on vertical routes, get to his spot in zone coverage, play Tampa 2 and help range against the run.

Ad Placeholder

— Has solid instincts in coverage, puts himself in a position to stay in phase when playing man coverage or pattern matching, and shows eye discipline in zone coverage to locate threats coming into his area.

— Avoids the trash well in coverage and against the run.

— Good at finding lanes as a pass rusher to take advantage of breakdowns in protection schemes when blitzing.

— Sure tackler who wraps up and runs his feet through contact.

NEGATIVES

— Sub-par instincts as a run defender, will fall for eye candy and can take too long to key and diagnose.

Ad Placeholder

— Not strong enough to constrict running lanes against offensive linemen, needs to add some size and strength.

— Lacks pop behind his pads when taking on blocks or tackling, bigger running backs will get extra yards after contact against him.

— Lacks some short-area quickness to get in and out of his breaks, impacting his ability to cover angle routes and to close in coverage.

— Doesn't have an effective go-to pass-rush move when blitzing.

— Lengthy injury history

Jihaad Campbell NFL Draft 2025 Scouting Report for Philadelphia Eagles LB

Joe Tansey
Apr 17, 2025
Auburn v Alabama

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Jihaad Campbell had a highly productive season with over 100 total tackles to generate some NFL Draft buzz this fall. He's a young linebacker—will be just 21 years old when drafted—who has plenty of potential due to his combination of age, size, and athletic ability.

Campbell moves very well to be effective in coverage, especially when playing zone. He shows good eye discipline to locate threats coming into his area and can read the quarterback's eyes to tighten throwing windows. He also has the change of direction and acceleration to break and close on routes to make tackles for short gains or get PBUs.

Jihaad Campbell Highlights

Against the run, the Alabama product could benefit from some more experience as he still struggles against eye candy. Also, he has issues staying in his gap when taking on blocks from offensive linemen and good blocking tight ends. That's partially due to inconsistencies with his use of hands, but he has long arms to get off blocks when he does get his hands up and showed improvement in this area as the season went on.

Ad Placeholder

Campbell also has some position versatility as the Crimson Tide would have him lineup on the edge and rush the passer. He adds value as a pass-rusher, both on the edge and as a blitzer, and thus would be best playing for a creative defensive coordinator who uses him at multiple spots at the next level.

MEASUREMENTS AND WORKOUT RESULTS

HEIGHT: 6'3"

WEIGHT: 235

HAND: 10½”

ARM: 32½”

WINGSPAN: 80"

40-YARD DASH: 4.52

BROAD: 10'7"

POSITIVES

— Good size for a modern NFL linebacker.

— Pretty good speed and explosion/acceleration to help his range against the run and close in coverage.

— He also shows good eye discipline and can read the quarterback's eyes to tighten windows, combined with his athleticism.

— Moves backward well to drop deep in coverage or recover and get to his landmark against play-action passes.

Ad Placeholder

— Solid at using his athletic ability to make offensive linemen miss on the second level.

— Sure tackler who wraps up and breaks down in space to make open-field tackles, had very few misses in college.

— Decent motor, bend and long-arm move as a pass-rusher or blitzer, has some position versatility to line up on the edge as well as off-ball.

NEGATIVES

— As a run defender, he falls for the eye candy and can get caught out of position.

Ad Placeholder

— Doesn't take on blocks with his hands consistently, will get swallowed up by offensive linemen in the NFL when he can't make them miss.

— Lacks lower body strength to hold his ground against the run, and has shown struggles against good run-blocking tight ends.

— Tackles with high pad level, leading to extra yards after contact against physical running backs.

— Lacks discipline in coverage on scramble drills, he will leave his man early and give up explosive plays.

Jalen Hurts, Simone Biles Among TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2025

Doric Sam
Apr 16, 2025
Super Bowl Football

Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts is still riding the high of winning Super Bowl LIX, and he added another unique distinction to his resume this offseason.

Hurts headlined the list of athletes included in TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2025. He was joined by legendary gymnast Simone Biles, tennis icon Serena Williams and WNBA superstars Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx.

Hurts was included in the "Icons" section, while Williams and Biles were listed in the "Titans" section and Stewart and Collier were featured in the "Pioneers" section.

Baseball Hall of Famer and New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter handled the write-up for Hurts, praising his resilience after losing the Super Bowl in the 2022 season and coming back to earn his first championship this year.

Ad Placeholder

"We connected shortly after, and the only thing he asked about was insight on going back and winning again," Jeter wrote. "Sometimes people win, then exhale. Jalen is not exhaling. He’s embracing the next challenge. Win or lose, Jalen’s resilience and determination offer all of us something to admire."

Biles was praised by fellow Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman for being "a gem—one of a kind, forged by relentless hard work and polished by her own determination. She shines with a brilliance that sets her apart." The 28-year-old took home three Olympic gold medals at the Paris Games last summer and is the most decorated American gymnast ever, but her impact in addressing mental health for athletes is perhaps even greater.

Ad Placeholder

Allyson Felix, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist in track and field, paid homage to Williams for her continued influence even after retiring from tennis.

"Even as she’s moved away from professional tennis, Serena continues to be impactful," Felix wrote. "Whether it’s through her venture-capital fund that invests in companies founded by women and people of color, or joining the ownership group of the Toronto Tempo, a WNBA expansion team, or dancing during halftime at the Super Bowl, she continues to show that we, as athletes, are so far from one-dimensional."

Stewart and Collier battled in an epic 2024 WNBA Finals series that saw the Liberty defeat the Lynx in five games, but it was their work off the court that drew the admiration of World Cup and Olympic champion soccer player Alex Morgan, who is an investor in the upstart Unrivaled 3-on-3 women's basketball league that Stewart and Collier co-founded together.

"Their ability to continue to shine in the WNBA—in fact, Phee and Stewie faced off in the 2024 finals—while building the next big thing blows me away," Morgan wrote. "The dynamic duo stuck their necks out there to give players a chance to make money in the U.S. in the offseason, and not have to move their families across the world."
